Sherlock Zen

Love it! I've always loved logic puzzles and this electronic version does not disappoint. Even better that I don't have to read a cheesy story made up about the different characters, places, items, etc before getting down to business. The noises are hilarious when I mess up so I'm not quite so disappointed in my failure. :-) Thank you dear developer; I'm hooked!

I have been using Sherlock Ultra for years. Suddenly, it kept resetting, and it is no longer in the Play Store. I have complete confidence in the product, so I have upgraded to keep it. Today (Jan 4) even Zen was resetting (it isn't the only app,) so I reinstalled it. The green bar along the bottom is new, but puzzles presented as completed, although the clues were still there. Fortunately, resetting the puzzle fixed it.

A great logic game that I have been playing since the early 1990s. Over the years I've played this on Windows PC (early to mid 90s), iPhone and iPad, as well as android phones and tablets! No need for flash graphics, no need for complicated instructions. The game is so intuitive, and actually self-explanatory, if you have a logical brain, of course. I just love it!

This is a great logic game and I have enjoyed it for years. I was very excited to see it modified for this small screen format. The UI choices make it easy to play on the go :) The only thing I wish were different in this version is if it had a darker set of images to use or a way to apply a custom set. Great puzzle game. Takes a while to master, and the techniques you employ change as you move up to bigger puzzles. After a while you can deduce a lot more based on the clues and do less of a process of elimination and more of actual deduction based on the logic behind the clues. For example, two clues show that the orange is adjacent to both the red house and the green house. There isn't a clue pointing this out and the hints won't tell you this, but its enough to know it isn't on the edges.

Great version of the Windows game I grew up with. Game runs smoothly and is nicely divided in 4x4, 5x5, and 6x6. Plenty of puzzles to go around If I HAD to remove a single point (which I won't) it's because I miss that jaunty tune that used to play in the windows version, and the midi-rendition of hallelujah when you solved a puzzle. but that hardly detracts from the gameplay

EDIT: Upped to 3 stars after developers explanation of given squares. Still would like to be able to turn off that option, though. I don't want any "given" squares. I have played completely through Sherlock Pro about 12 times. I bought Zen to get more levels. I DO NOT like that there is NO WAY to turn off the handicaps. Even set to 0, there are still solved squares at the start of each level. Sometimes the given squares make the levels have no challenge AT ALL!

Amazing as always! We have been playing your games for so long I don't recall a time we didn't have at least this game. We have purchased the cd with like a dozen games so I hope one day to have the others available on this format as well. Well worth the price and I'd also like info on making and importng custom sets and possibly music because I was able to do both with the original PC game

PLEASE fix the Samsung issue soon! I have an ASUS and have tried the fix you wrote for Samsung people in the reviews. It works, but, I have to do it everyday. I have been playing Sherlock every night for over 10 years. I am lost. Waaah... Hopefully the new version will work for my black screen also.

Love this game! Not sure why I never rated it. I've been playing it multiple times per day for years. It's really quite simplistic but challenging and different every time. I love having to use deductive reasoning to solve each puzzle

I just purchased Zen, but the install process did not put an inon on the screen. I tried to open it from the store again, but it just took me to the free version. Can someone tell me how to resolve this problem? Later. The problem was resolved. Thanks for the help. I am a huge fan of this game. I especially like that I could purchase it instead of leasing, as so many games want.

Love this game. I bought Sherlock Zen and have been playing it for weeks. Unfortunately, all of a sudden it won't open. Not sure what the problem is. It was working fine earlier today but not now. I don't see an option to refresh - only to uninstall, but if I uninstall it will I have to buy it again? I tried turning the tablet off and on, but that made no difference. I'd be grateful for any suggestions. One suggestion I would make is it would be good if there were more than one female face.

I've had this app for so long and I've never had any problems. There are so many puzzles I've never made it through them all before I upgraded my phone lol. This is one of the best app purchases I've ever made I swear it's especially good for a quick game to kill time. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a fun logic game!

I love this game. I have been playing it on a Galaxy Tab S2 for months. Installed the Jan 1 update, and now it won't even start. Just a black screen. Hopefully a fix is coming soon. Update: the fix below worked like a champ!

I love seeing that so many share my decades of love of this game and the author's work and continued dedication to it. I like seeing how long it takes me to get through ALL the Zen puzzles, reset and try to beat my time :) Thx for the endless hours of fun EK!!

Settings are not saved when I close the app. Also, it starts with same puzzle every time whether I have completed it or not. UPDATE - the suggestion from Mr. Kaiser solved the problem. Thanks

I've been playing this game since the 90s and was so excited to find this as an Android app. I love this game!!! I've introduced it to my son and now he's hooked too. I'm also glad that the graphics look pretty much the same they did on my old PC version. 🥰

I love these logic games. I have the PC version that I bought years ago and was exited to see the mobile version. I have it on my phone and my tablet now. Honeycomb too. I'm hoping to see Watson's Map and Moriarty soon!!!

Stopped working after last update... Fix this! Update: got a fast response from publisher and it's working again! This is my go to game for waiting so i am glad to have it again.

Classic. It has a very intuitive interface for the classic logic problems.

This used to be my favorite game, and I'm so pleased to have found it again! It's now my new favorite. It's the smart person's fidget spinner. Get it.

Love it... Makes your mind work...but lately have trouble bringing up a game. Finished one stays there...
