How it works:
As soon as you have installed the app and opened it for the first time the app will be ready to recieve notifications as soon as new shift codes are released.
1) Just tap the code you want to redeem. The code will be copied to your clipboard.
2) On the popup, click 'Redeem'. You will be taken to the Shift redemption page.
3) If you do not have a shift account you will need to register and log in.
4) When logged in, press and hold the input field to 'paste' your code and redeem.
- When you have redeemed a code it will change colour and be marked 'used'.
- All codes that have been marked 'used' can be hidden with the switch (top right).
- You can mark codes 'used' or 'unused' by pressing and holding the code.
Once installed and run for the first time Shift Alert: Borderlands 3 will be set up to send you notifications every time a new shift code for Borderlands 3 is released.
Don't worry, you don't need to do anything.
There is no need to keep checking the app.
The app doesn't need to be left running, you can close it.
You will be alerted as soon as a new shift code for Borderlands 3 is added.
You can refresh the list of codes at any time by dragging down on the list.
In order for the app to work correctly it requires notifications to be enabled in order for you to receive new shift codes and be notified of them.
The app also requires internet connection to show information about the shift codes.
The app may use internal or SD card storage to save the list of codes locally in case you don't have an active internet connection and also to save a list of the codes you have already redeemed.
This is so that when you close the app, this information is not lost.

This one is heaps better than the free one, BUT it didn't cost. .99c as been advertise, it ended up costing $1.99 AUD not sure were you got your price from. US maybe? but I think it need more codes to get updated from other sources as it's limited but I hope it get more improvements in the future and I will adjust accordingly also make an app for shift codes for the other borderlands series. All in one app and use a tick box to show the codes for each games. Any Acknowledgement would be great.
After a brief interlude with James I've come understand that this is strictly a borderlands 3 shift code delivery system. I am very happy with the way that this system has filtered its results specifically for the purpose of borderlands 3. And I'm impressed with the ability of James on their team with how thorough he was able to investigate my previous review. This app does exactly as it says no more no less with that I'm extremely satisfied. Thank you for the great product!
Love it, does exactly as advertised. Only complaint is that you should be able to copy and paste the codes without being forced to the redemption site, especially if it open a new browser tab every time.
Amazing and helpful to not miss out on keys. Just wish it's worked with the other games or there was a different app for them. Reply to developers question: What I meant by other games was all the other borderlands game. This make it so much easier to get the key but alot of the times I miss the opportunity cause I can't always check my phone to see if they put out a code for the other borderlands games
Been using since 3 months into Borderlands release and still the best app for codes, just hope they update this with the new Tiny Tina Adventures game
Not gonna lie. Its a basic app that isn't flashy, isn't super interesting, or offers much... BUT i will say that when i go to redeem a SHiFT code, i tap the option and it takes me to the redeem site WITH the code already coppied! So i dont need to copy it myself. So for me it makes redeeming codes actually pretty quick (Network speed playing a factor at times)
It's rare to have an app just do what it says it does SO simply. Gone are the days of the time consuming entering of shift codes. 5 minutes after downloading the app I had every active shift code on my xbox. Simple simple simple. So refreshing to have a developer make something that works smoothly and in the most effective way possible. I cant see how this app could have been made better. Thanks guys!
This app is a godsend. As a long time borderlands fan, I can tell you, shift codes are a pain in the a**. I often just wouldn't bother because I could be spending time playing instead of spending 30 minutes looking for new codes (I haven't already used) determining if they're valid, and looking from one screen to another typing it in. I just got 6 gold keys in 3 minutes, WHILE ON BREAK AT WORK. Thank you developers for making this awesome app.
Great idea, app doesnt quite work properly for me. Im on an up to date Galaxy S10+, so I'd assume just about anything should work. The app doesnt hide expired codes as it should, having both red AND green text for expired codes. When redeeming a valid code, it continually says "Error Redeeming Code". So, it doesnt work 🤷♂️. If it did itd be WELL worth a buck. 2 star for initiative tho!
Fantastic app. I don't know what else to say. its so easy to use and the fact that it's fast, efficient and no ridiculous phone permissions. Bravo I've already shared in like minded borderlands 3 groups. I definitely recommend it. 👍
4/5 Non-Expired/Universal codes didn't work. But the last, providing three gold keys did so...I guess that's something? I haven't found any chests yet so not a major disappointment but I guess I shouldn't have jumped right into paying for the Pro version of this app until I tested the free version. Oh well. Also, for the dev's information (not sure if it matters) I am playing Borderlands 3 on Stadia.
Are the shift codes for pc or console. Or are they the same codes for both? I play on xbox so I won't be able to use the codes it's only for pc :/ if the codes are for the system I'm using the app will recieve 5 stars because I think this is a great idea. Update: response time on my question was less than 5 minutes. Awesome work! Thanks for the answer. I'll definitely recommend this app to my friends.
Better off subscribing to code alerts on Twitter. Currently Saturday June 5th, I have a tweet notification of new codes but its been 4 hours and this app still isn't showing them. I don't know if someone is manually sending out codes or if it's broken. It is handy to be able to click copy-paste on to the shift site. However considering I have paid for the app, I am disappointed that it's not notifying me of new codes as quickly as free Twitter options. To devs: Python scripts? Check your cron. X
Get it...should be more than a $1! best $1 I've spent on an app since...the beginning of apps! takes the guess work out of whether shift codes are used/expired/worthless! and easy to claim when there are new ones!
Makes redeeming codes super simple you click the code, it copies it and opens redemption page, paste and done. I leave notifications on and they only send you code alerts no spam.
Fantastic app. Notifies when there are new codes and links right to the SHIFT site. Wish I had this when BL3 first came out. I wouldn't have missed a single key.

Definitely worth the dollar. Gives you notifications when the new codes go up plus it copies the code for you and sends you to the site to redeem it. Only way this could be better was if it took the one step you have to do yourself and did it for you. But then you'd just be lazy
Used to always get shift codes like 2 hours after they expired, now you literally tap the screen like 4 times after you get the notification and your done. Super helpful
This is a great app for retrieving B3 shift codes. The notifications keep me from having to check every day for new codes. I wish it was available for all of the Borderlands games.

Purchased this useless app that wont even allow me to open it now. I got it to open earlier with it saying can't connect to internet now it wont even open so I'm giving this 99 cent app a 1 star until fixed. Havent even got to use the app!?

Good app, does what it says. I get a notification whenever theres a new code so it's saved me a lot of time checking. Definitely worth it.
Shift Alert provides a platform to receive SHIFT codes and opt redeem them. It keeps old lifetime codes and recently expired codes available at the user's discretion.
Great app, never miss keys, and quickly enter them into the swift website. Recommended for borderlands 3 users.

Works as advertised. I like that tapping on the code copies the code and takes you to the redemption page. Would suggest a dark mode tho. Kudos to the dev!
