Use to be able to click on potential work shifts and get GPS directly to that office, can't anymore. Contacted Shiftboard , person was not that helpful. He said we only have GPS to clock in and out, I said I can still do that but can not get GPS to that office from the app.
Use it only because it's what the company uses yet it very defective. A great concept, well laid out, yet terribly executed. A few flaws are the loading speed just to open the app, if your phone turned off before shiftboard finally decides to load you'll get a message saying no internet, if you switch to an other app and back it does the same thing, it won't open up in your choice of maps when you press map it, there is no notification when you have a shift added or a new one is available to submit for, and these are just the flaws I remember. Shiftboard has a lot of promise! And if the flaws are corrected could easily be a 5 star app. This is how work schedules should be made, just without all these flaws. Which my co-workers also have mentioned.
The app itself is not so bad. It's a bit tricky to use but doable. Though I hate how you have a hard time figuring out what day you are really looking at. I feel like the bad part is how your organization chooses to utilize it. My is doing very poorly with scheduling and correct staffing numbers. We can't easily get on at work due to their old IT systems.
Not a user friendly app!! Sends notifications for shifts/reminders at 1:00AM!!!! On position change emails, I wish it would state what was changed!! Out in front. Bold. And then continue with the rest of the information. Have to read the whole email and if not careful could miss what was changed. Not easy to tweak one day in order to receive a shift after your set schedule availability is in system.
The app seems to be good and functioning well on ios but it isn't operating properly on Android at all. Some of the constant glitches I've seen are; the app registers me as clocked out but it isn't and the other glitch is the clock button on the upper right corner not showing in some instances, I find myself having to restart the app to get the feature to finally clock in. It's especially frustrating that I'm not being clocked .
Cannot handle the load of 500 users at the same time. Slow, or worse, stops all together.
I think this a Great idea and needs somethings added... Like I should be able to see who I work with that day I work with a lot of people and would find it helpful to at least see the people in my area who I work side by side with. Also I believe it should be very easy to pick up and use for the not so tech folks the interface is very basic and should have a feature for co-works to I'm. Would highly recommend to other companies.
May 2019 This app does a lot. Initially, not easy to use, but didn't take too long to figure it out. Slow response times. December 2019 Very slow response times for Android version on my Samsung phone (with lots of memory space). So I dropped this rating from 4 stars down to 3 stars. How can I speed up the response time? I click to turn the page in order to advance the months, and nothing happens. Sometimes I have to do this 5 or 6 or more times for the months to advance. Any tips?
Love the concept but hardest thing is format the layout. Example is Availability. Once I add my availability, the layout of it is hard to follow. Dates aren't listed chronologically so I've gotta go back & forth to see what I have already listed.
Better than the website especially the shift view. On the web, you can only either look at your shift or the shift available but this allows you to see both at the same time which is useful. I want to give five stars review except sometime the app doesn't load when open or takes a long time to load.
My app starts the week on a Monday. I've emailed them over a week ago about it. All they've eplied with is "we know about the problem and is working on it." Still, nothing has changed and it's pretty annoying to see my week start on a Monday. Didn't realize it was that difficult to update an calendar app.
I'd give Shiftboard a higher rating since it's an essential app for my job. BUT my colleagues who have iPhones are able to sync their shifts with their mobile calendars. I can't seem to find this capability on my android or Shiftboard. Can my shifts be sync'ed with my calendar on my Samsung 10? If not, are you working on it? It would make life so much easier.
Love the app however has been extremely buggy lately and it's very irritating! The 'All Shifts' tab is slow loading and sometimes never loads so unable to go through days of the week. Also constantly getting an error that says 'Network error. Please retry.'
Some of the pop up screens for setting dates are almost so black you cant see them on my phone. Screens are not clear and poorly set up. I found it hard to navigate. I hope it will get better
I miss the hours total worked a week. No longer adds up the hours. The new design is amazing. And over the app is great. But they took away a part that made the app handy. I could see my hours total. Where now I have to add them up manually.
This new version of shiftboard is useless, it's a down grade not an update. This app is no longer useful for easy scheduling or viewing schedules. Utilizing the web browser for now. Many companies will be getting rid of shiftboard because if this... guaranteed. I really would like to know why the developers think this update is more productive for anybody? Don't bother asking me what specifically I don't like because your answer is.... "EVERYTHING" :(
Love to be able pick up and view work shifts from my phone but it does not have phone notifications at the time. Developer is working on this issue and is expected to have it resolved by the of the year.
Never loads. I have to refresh it and hope it works. I have to uninstall it all the time and reinstall it just to see my work schedule. My job really tried to push this app but its awful. The website works just fine to see your shifts.
Can not find where to clock in and out or to input my hours I have already work. I was told to do it on like or the app. I have looked up all the help articles on the website and non of the "buttons" they show or talk about exist. I have e even gone through all the setting on the 2 website I have. (I hope I get paid properly) I'm giving it one star for now as it does clearly show my shifts.
freezes, crashes...it can't handle all the people it's being used for.
Since the update of the app, I am unable to schedule staff to shift The only use is viewing a schedule. If I could give zero stars I would. This app is now useless and have to go to the web for a full functioning version.
It was great before the update. The new update takes you through too many steps to select shifts. It's faster to do it on the computer now but that's the point of the app.. to make it more convenient.
I use this app for my job. It seemed to work effectively with my laptop and phone! But recently my phone isn't working. Whenever I sign on it it states: "Too many log in failures, please try again in 47 hours." I've changed my password. I've uninstalled and reinstalled. Nothing has worked! My job still uses this software and the app is very important for me to communicate with my job! PLEASE HELP!!
