Personally I love how Dx2 brings many aspects from the classic games, like game modes that are more polished version of the dungeon crawling genre seen in SMT1 or SJ, a cast and story reminiscent of Devil Survivor 1, while having events and PvP modes that add to the different things one can enjoy on top of its story The only bad side is that certain decisions done by the directors aren't the best for improving the experience or mechanics, while said fixes are forgotten due to change of director
Didn't play for a while and tried to come back but got an uuid error. I contacted Sega via their account recovery form with a screenshot of the error and the said they needed more info on about my play history. So if you are going to play this game don't take a break from it and remember all of the details about your play history or you can lose your account. Almost feels like they are punishing me for taking a break from the game. From now on I'm only playing games that link your save data.
Three years later and I still find enjoyment in this game. Events are constantly changing and provide an additional challenge. Special summons are always cool, fun to see and interact with. Still loving it
Fantastic game with a lot of content, generous events, frequent improvements, and developers that clearly care. I've been playing for over 4 years and I'm very satisfied.
This game is fun for people who like the consept of smt, although I did hear some complaints from other people about the games player support and how it really pay to win. I haven't personally experienced it yet that's why it's only 4 stars to me until proven worng, I will continue playing to see if those comments about the game were unfounded then I will decide whether or not it is worth giving a 5 star rateing.
Very fun and easy to get started. Might need to update how much your Step-Up Summons cost. Honestly if you made it half the gem cost it is more people would be hooked to the game. After a certain point of the story you stop getting gems. Still, having a blast playing. Thank you for your time in reading this.
Very fun game, Atlus is a great developer. The story is great, and so are the characters. I do wish that the title screen would show the female protagonist if the player is female, and that we weren't permanently locked out of event cutscenes if we don't finish the event. I'd happily use jewelsto unlock them.
...as difficult as it is to please everyone, they do try hard to. My enjoyment begins to outweigh any doubts, when it comes to freebies, events, etc. generally quite giving, just log in stack up for an event
This game is very addictive as the main line games. Plus, this game is very free to play as it gets. You dont need to spend money to get good or get rare demons.
Pretty good, but simplified SMT game. It's closer to the Persona games than the mainline games.
Personally I very much enjoy this game it has been so well done and very good story wise and gameplay wise though I do wish Beelzebub human was able to be made in game that won't affect my own score of it just a personal gripe I have however I will still rate this game 10/10 for everything else.
Game has become more pay to win at a rapid pace. Barely new content with the same rehashed event system. The summoning pool is completely diluted with old demons, so you rarely ever get the new demon on the banner
Good game, but to insistant on power creep and pay to win mechanics. This game preys on whales willing to spend an extra few bucks. Do not reccomended unless you're really really into the megami tensei series.
The fun is in figuring things out for yourself. Everyone who just searches an copies other players builds are just pathetic no matter what game it is.
Great representation of the SMT universe, one of the best games with so many different events and characters.
I really enjoy this game. It has challenging content for those more familiar with the SMT series, but is also just as good for new players. The characters themselves are quite interesting, which is rare for a mobile game. There's many free rewards too, and many summoning events. I don't normally read reviews, but I had a great experience with the games support in retrieving my account after a long time of inactivity, and receiving a reply within 12 hours. If you're fan of the series I recommend!
Very Fun! Very generous unlocks! Just as good or better than the past amazing series entries of consoles past!
I love everything about the game and how it still stays true to the SMT formula as far as the gameplay goes. The story is ok so far but it doesn't feel like an SMT story, it's more like Persona imo. The only thing I hate which reduced this from 5 stars to 4 stars is that the game is way too hand holdy, you can't skip 99% of the tutorials and makes you use up resources for trashy demons in the tutorial you could have used for other demons.
A satisfying SMT experience on mobile. While it's not comparable to its console counterparts, this game still delivers. The answer option is kind of useless because most of the time there's just one response, but I suppose it's necessary due to SMT's customary silent protagonist.
The perfect casual turn-based mobile game I've been looking for. You can make a lot of progress without mtx as long as you do a lot of demon negotiations and know how to work press turns. Far from the best Shin Megami Tensei title out there, but perfect for whipping your phone out and tapping out a neat little strategy.
It's pretty fun but pvp is nearly unplayable ever since they basically gave away a very unbalanced character. Also the purchases are stupidly overpriced. The only way to gurantee pulling a good monster is an 80 dollar anniversary special. Other "deals" are more than a dollar per pull. Come on sega. If you cut these prices by 50-75% I will gladly throw money at this game. But I can't in good conscience spend more than a new big budget game on an in-app purchase for a mobile game.
The Game graphics is actually good but the story is seems to be rushed they always get only few lines and you can't understand it fully it would be a great if they really focus on story of it and the pacing, Plus the connection always become error even though you got a right connectivity it seems that the server got problem
Its a great game luv the demon variety but good lord the amount of texts and explaining drives me up the wall. I feel like I'm doing more reading than actually playing the game. Maybe cut back a few tutorials and cut scenes
Fun game, but laggy while in combat. But you should still download it and play it, you'll have so much fun you won't even notice the lag.
If the new transcendence system goes live and succeeds in creating a bigger gap between F2P and P2W players then say goodbye to most of your playerbase. Enjoy milking money out of the whales while the game becomes harder for the F2P and a spending party for those who have money to throw away. I really love the game and I don't wanna quit, but you are doing all the right things to definitely KILL the game. You should change SEGA to $EGA. You should read the subreddits, people are angry!!
Its become too gatcha heavy. Fusions are trash in competitive plays. Heck, once you finish story, the rest will pretty much revolve around expensive af fusion demons and gatcha exclusive demons. Super pay2play, and the free content is too grindy and just boring.
This must be one of the best ways imaginable to make a Shin Megami Tensei mobile game! It is faithful to the original titles, with few changes to the battle sytem and fusion for example, but it also brings so many fan favourite concepts back to life, like the old-school dungenon crawling in the Aura Gate. Although I'm somewhat new, so far the game has been amazing in terms of story and characters, which make this a brilliant title to start, even if you're a newcomer to the series.
