It's okay at first. Some reason it always focuses on Gibraltar. Then you look around and see there are only 5 ships in the whole entirety of the Atlantic Ocean. Genuis. I check the Marine Traffic Browser app and see that there are at least a thousand. I live right beside an extremely busy Scottish Port and I can see the vessels coming in and out. So I know for a fact They are there, but this stupid tracker won't pick them up. Again, checking the Marine Traffic Browser app everything works fine.
I really enjoy using it to follow a cruise ship I recently saw in Funchal. I've had no issues. It works well. I would like more info on the ships, but don't use it enough to warrant the expense of the add ons. If there were cheaper options that would be great.
Great way of finding where your favourite vessel or a super yacht is and where it's been. Relatively easy to use. I'm fairly certain it is meant to be used by professionals but if you're interested in all things nautical it's an interesting app.
Not free at all. Happy for adds if you get revenue from them. Expect you to pay before use. I'm not giving details when I am not very sure I can cancel during free trial. You may be legit...but too many stories about scams where you cannot cancel.
I opened it up and was bombarded by ads. After about 10 I gave up and got rid of it. It looks like a great app but with so many ads (even compared to other mobile apps) it is inoperable.
Absolute amazing app... really easy to operate and so much information that is fantastic where it helps when sailing to check oncoming vessels and also to look at when at home. Amazing bit of kit and think it is perfect. Couldn't give enough stars.... Ì was going to put 1000 stars rather than 5
Using a Samsung Tab A. It can't detect my internet connection. Too bad, looked like it would have been useful. Update: the updated app still can't detect my Wi-Fi connection. All my other apps work fine.
If you want to drive yourself crazy trying to navigate this app, getting to the actual information your looking for, without tripping over or thru unwanted pop ups, and other app suggestions. This is the perfect app to really make you mad. It almost borderlines PHISHING! This is the first app I have ever given a 1 star review. But it deserves a lower star rating than the one I just gave
I have signed up for the free trial and agreed to be charged a week later, but I don't find the app very good (no boats show up in Ibiza at all) and now there is no button or selection to cancel my subscription pending.
haven't seen a ship on this yet - nothing up or down the coast!!?
Spent 18 years at sea, I just found my old ship using vessel tracker, really happy. Thought Hakula (MV Hakula) would've been up the beach, ten years ago I paid off in Adelaide. Impressed with detail of charts depths etc. Bestest app for shipping/navigation & coastal orienteering.
Guys, while I do like this app and it did seem to work to start with, It now seems to be running more that two days behind. I see ships regularly from my window and in each case the app shows them well out of position. Any ideas ..?
Very user friendly. Easy to navigate, up to date information, different chart layers. A great app, I will strongly recommend it for everyone.
I like it, but, PROBLEM: Select (find) ship. Finds ship surrounded by all types of vessels. Set filter to show only passenger ships. Filter works okay but ship no longer identified. Repeat find ship. Shows ship again, but with all vessel types shown again. Repeat set filter. Ship identifier gone. Repeat find ship ..... Around in circles.
not accurate at all. I'm looking at a dredge off shore and it's not showing on the map. There is also no link to cancel the subscription.
Easy to navigate to areas of interest and zoom into ports! Would like to limit ship traffic to specific vessel type but have not found that option if available!
Started off ok but ads and pop ups slowly increase to the point of annoyance. Doesn't readily state the vessel destination or vessel owners, not really user friendly.
finding friends and seeing commercial traffic on your intended cruising route is invaluable, our chart plotter and on board AIS system is an absolute must for navigation but Ship Tracker gives that extra layer of information to look ahead. Great app.
Very useful app .I live near the sea and my Dad was a docker so I spent my teenage years watching the ships and still to this day have an interest in the movement oruse ships around the world and this app has allowed me to watch were they are. Very good and useful app were ever you are.
I appreciate the effort. But it's really annoying to have to watch an ad everytime I change screens and the map resets to Belgium. Uninstalled.
Was a great app and I wrote a positive review a while ago. Now I have nothing, a map but no ships!! Don't know what's happened. Have reinstalled twice without success. Time to try a different app.
The recent update has removed images of the ships. It used to be OK, if a bit glitchy. But when stood on the shore, looking at a mystery vessel, you could see what it was. Which, for me, was the main reason for having the app. Now? Not so useful.
