I love shooting demon alien frog beasts! that, a smoke and cup of coffee is a beautiful day... some rum doesn't hurt either...
it gave me that feeling of hopelessness and that you won't get out alive
Great idea, creative, good tribute to Lovecraft. The only thing that made the game hard was the camera angles at times. My advice to new players is to use pause and find your enemies when that happens. Thankfully you can rotate while pause, an excellent feature.
TO GOOD TO PUT DOWN BUT GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO RATE THE GAME I HAD TO TAKE A BREAK FOR A MINUTE AND BRAG ABOUT SHOGGOTH RISING.. THIS HAS GOT TO BE THE BEST GAME IV PLAYED IN A LONG TIME.. FROM THE OPENING STORY LINE WITH THE GREAT EERIE GRAPHICS, SOUND EFFECTS AND EASY GAME PLAY THIS IS TRULY A GAME THAT KEEPS YOU ON THE THE EDGE OF YOUR SEAT.. ABSOLUTELY A GAME THAT STANDS OUT ON ITS OWN.. A MILLION THANKS TO THE DEVELOPERS FOR MAKING AND SHARING SUCH AN EPIC GAME.. =)
The best mobile games tailor their gameplay for the touchscreen, not try to emulate d-pads, thumbsticks, and buttons. This game uses taps and swipes to their full potential to create a frantic survival experience in every level.
A nice original game. This game has quality graphic, music and good gameplay concept, also captured Lovecraftian atmosphere very well. The bad thing about this game is that the camera just doesn't work well, and at times you press at the monsters but the game just doesn't respond. Overall it's a good game with great potentials.
When touching screen to shoot monsters, the camera tends to move randomly and screw with the aim. It would be convenient if we were able to lock the camera to certain height of the lighthouse, while still being able to rotate around it.
Though has a simple linear gameplay mechanics, the art and music compesates, creating a fun, eldritch experience. Hope you'll add more content like new places, myth book, movie promotional contents such as The Shape of water and Cold skin, or movie throwbacks like necronomicon.
The graphics are super nice, the play action not so much. The controls are too sensitive to really immerse & enjoy the game. Would have been a 3☆ but I bumped it up one for the visuals..
I don't know if it was appropriate for the game to be called "Shoggoth Rising," but it's pretty fun. The camera panning up and down the lighthouse (which is your level in total) is a little sensitive and wonky sometimes, but the whole game is very fun.
Super frantic fun, guaranteed to send you on your journey to madness. Captures the dread and helplessness of Lovecraft's Cthulhu mythos.
Great game! Really fun! Not sure why it's called Shoggoth Rising yet since it features only Deep Ones and no Shoggoths so far, but maybe they come later?!? Anyway I love it, very creative, unique n different style of shooter. Edit- I just beat the finale stage on easy! That was awesome! I'm really looking forward to the next installment. Whens the next episode come out?
Pretty fun so far. Does have a steep difficulty curve from level 5 to 6 but still pretty good
Based off other reviews, the devs seem very active. For the game itself, it's wonderful. No in app purchases, free to download, great gameplay. Good job devs!
I expected a bit more from this game. The soundtrack could've been better the gameplay needs few more features. It's a good game with quite a lot of potential. However the graphics is GREAT.. So a good game but not the best.
like all phone games, simple to play but some skill is required. The lovecraft inspiration elevates the game and sets it apart from most other apps.
Besutiful, only issue are adds, there are better ways to use them, watch videos for coins, for instance.
Its not much but visually appealing. More so, it is great to have more lovecraftian games out there.
Except in this case the fish are frog people and the barrel is your lighthouse i.e. The only thing protecting you from their evil slimy touch.
Still trying to think of a way to help the rotation/zooming/shooting all on one screen, but there doesn't seem to be any - gameplay feels a little odd but still has me coming back
This one didn't last long,its hard to fight something when its on the bottom side of screen,then moves to the other side,have fun,enjoy the video adds.

It is surprisingly addictive. Each level pulls you in. It is a basic defense game but the onslaught from each species just get crazier and crazier. I LOVE IT!
Astonishingly beautiful. Deep Ones hordes provide so much fun, and the boss levels are well thought. Looking forward to seeing new enemies.
It's a wonderful game. Good graphics and fun gameplay. Well made. It gets absurdly tedious after a while though to the point where I kind of got bored and uninstalled it long before I was anywhere near beating it.
