Nice, clean, and straightforward. A 5 second ad might come up after a game is over, but that's it, plus the small bar ad that I barely notice. All in all, not bad. I've only played against the AI so far which is challenging even at low levels, but that's good. Also this is my first time learning shogi, and I'm having fun so far.
The only negative about this app is that it can actually glitch sometimes and not let you choose/click some options during your games (like promote a piece) but if you close the app and re-open it, it fixes itself and you can continue the game from where you were.
Decently plays on mid to upper levels, but seems to overly prefer 3rd file rook against Black's static rook on highest levels. Little variety in how it plays and seems it can be "forced" into losing variations that better players would hardly ever use.
As an American who is living abroad in Eastern Europe it is even harder to find a partner to play shogi with and this app has so many great features. The A.I. is a little weak but I get to play. I also love the go app from this company. I just wish that they would now do the Chinese and Korean versions of chess xiangqi and jianggi.
Well done app without many restrictions. Take back, save, load. I just didn't see music background. It could be interesting
in the past I liked this, but now some of the pieces are bugged and won't move or be selected like they used too, like the rook can't be selected at times or it's movement is restricted when it shouldn't be
Difficulty needs to be adjusted. Way to hard for beginners to level up
The game is good, althoigh I wish the computer would play out the game so that I can work on my end game. I'm a beginner and would like to play all the way to the end.
make it a bit more hard please. It only gives the basic perception.
I used to play it a while ago, now I'm playing it again because I want to participate in shogi tournaments again
The Android often resigns a game and I have no idea why. This is a bit confusing.
I love this Shogi game and have been using it for years. There is nothing in it that needs improving as far as I am concerned.
Very nice Shogi game.I'm enjoy. I can playing with my self is fun.but I hope voice is all English.
Bruh you may want to tone down your engine a bit. That thing you're calling level 1 is a monster to me.
educational and good for thinking
Love the 🏅 system. Best Shogi app I've played so far. Thank you 😊
The game play is alright but there's no checkmate in shogi you just kill the king
I love this game a lot, and I most learnt shogi for it
So far I am in love with the graphics
I have always used this app.
I love this game
This is great
Great game, it would be really useful to have the ability to show the English and Japanese characters on each piece at the same time - that way we can learn which is which :)
Nice Game this is the best shogi app i've ever downloaded i used to play this with my little brother. But my twin didn't understand the game because the only game he knows is chess & he's good at rubics cube he can't understand shogi because it's a japanese chess & we live in the philippines.
When I started the game, my screen was completely empty, except for the ad at the bottom. Uninstalled.
Shogi - The only board game that outstrips even Chess!!
This has got to be one of the best Shogi games available. Not only does it have a variable difficulty from "super easy" to "I am your merciless Shogi God", but it also has English pieces for those learning, and winnable pieces and boards.
Honestly my biggest problem is the only visual options of the piece appearances / themes are 1. Two sets of traditional japanese pieces which can be difficult for me to use... Or 2. the very boring basic Roman letters, which I don't like at all, makes the game look and feel very boring. This needs pieces for a western player such as me to enjoy the look of. Basic letters are more for word games to me, I don't like it. I notice many japanese programs do this... Please offer visual pieces.
