Have used this program for at least 5 years. Other than a notebook and pencil, it is one of the most useful tools available. You do have to tinker with it, and use other tools available you have though to understand how your rounds perform. I'm not worried about new bullets being produced, or needing a separate chronograph to purchase (haven't touched mine in years once I figured that out). Besides a notebook, pencil, and rangefinder, this is another tool I suggest other shooters to get.
Great little app. Also allows you to store powder data bullet and OAL Dimensions as well in the notes. The app can be used on more than one machine which allows you to keep a backup copy. Just make sure that you backup your new data if you do it the wrong way you will lose your new data.
Was unable to get the correct data out of this app. I know my dope... Hold over for multiple distances, my muzzle velocity, my BC... but the calculator (app) gives incorrect dope. Off by a huge factor! Completely useless!
This app is good and has helped me get into long range shooting without having to take a refresher in trig. The only reason it gets three stars is because of the outdated bullet library and lack of an update in over a year. This lack of updates has led me to uninstall due to potential security risks.
I've had this app for years. It is very easy to use and has everything a shooter needs to calculate any shot. metric or imperial, compatible with kestrel. In January 2019 there was an app breaking bug that showed up. The app developer had it resolved promptly. Thanks!
Liked this app at first... but because of lack of customer service I have switched to a new app. I emailed several times about problems I was experiencing with the app and I never got a response. I switched to Ballistic Arc and so far I'm impressed.
Been using app in long range competition for several years with an apple device with no complaints. Not real happy with the bugs when it is ran on a android. Velocity calculator does not properly transfer to the data tables with the current DA.
Used this for years on iOS with great success, however switching to the Android version the bullet library won't open. The feature just crashes. Developer is unresponsive. Leaves me with a little buyer's remorse for $9.99
Always found this app to be fantastic. I noticed that the trajectory table was no longer working and emailed dev. He posted the first update in over a year and fixed it. pretty cool I thought.
I have had and kept this app longer than any other. it's been fantastic, glitch less, and provides exactly what I need with a simple interface.
Would not connect to my Kestrel 5500. Bullet database is very In complete, missing manufactures, missing several ballistic parameters for each I chose. I found no way to update it. Was recommended by a friend who uses a Kestrrl 4500 and does his own loads. May work for him. I refunded it
Most of the features you need for distance shooting don't work. Developer doesn't answer questions and you can't get your money back. Serious rip off, DON'T BUY
Crashes when trying to access Ammo Library. Doesn't let to add ammo manually as well. Asking for BC, even if it is plugged in within proper range.
Great app been using it since 2011. Compared to knights armament the shooter app was spot on for data. Little change in velocity and everything was good. Used FN A3G and SCAR17 with 168 and 175 gr match ammo out to 1k no problem
It had worked great but now that I had a update on my phone to Google 9 processing many of my apps including this one no longer works. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
This app is a headache. They dont have winchester in the bullet library and when I tried to enter the bullet in manually I entered 0.540 for the BC and it kept saying the BC has to be between .01 to 2.0. How is .54 not in between that?
I have a .338 Lapua mag. & a .300 win. mag. This app works great if all the data input and dop are correct. Garbage in garbage out ie NO HITS. I WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS APP.
This is a good starter app. However, it does have some shortcomings. First off, the bullet library is stale. Many newer bullets are not in the library plus many makers of mono projos are missing as well. Also the app does not appear to be developed anymore. The last update is more than a year old. But its accurate out to 1000-1200 yards.
