100 stars! So helpful for making informed choices, it really helps clear the fog and mysteries surround brands and products. I've been using the app for years and years, maybe I use it 2-3 times a week. Purchasing items and supporting companies that do the right thing is so much easier! Only complaint. I now live in Japan and there isn't enough information on huge for foreign brand from over here, very Australian based. I still want to try and make the right choice even while living overseas.

Extremely useful and user-friendly app. They have done all the hard work collecting mountains of information about many different brands so that we can make informed choices. While it is Australia-focused, the website is also crammed full of internationally relevant information about various issues that we consumers should all be aware of. I wish that I could buy the app and gift it to friends and family.

In your next update please fix following issue for 5 stars - if I click brand "Quorn" takes me to an overview of the Quorn company, however when I click "Beyond Meat" I'm either redirected to a random part of the app, or my app is forced closed. Other than this current bug I love the app, bought your little shopping book a few years ago and it's falling apart from use. Happy to change to 5 stars after bug fix. 🐛

Nice app. Needs better filtering on search. As mentioned by another user. Some categories are questionable upons ones view point. Example: im not vegetarian nor vegan, any weights on these categories are not important to me. Another example, im for Nuclear power as a grid power source. I am for hydro where possible, solar/wind generation for domestic applications only. I am against solar/wind farms for grid feeding. I could go on.

Myself and my partner have just downloaded the app. Lots of info to go through which is great. She has an iPhone and I Android and our ratings of companies differ between the two apps. Is this an update issue?

Makes ethical shopping a breeze. An amazing amount of information. Deciphers supply chains/parent companies. Could be a little more visual but gets the job done. Get it then encourage your friends to do the same!

I installed this app with high hopes, but alot of the products I buy aren't even listed on here. Refund/uninstalled within minutes. I've now installed Eco Report Card, and it's free.

How often do you update this? Example: Bellamy's baby formula got sold to the Chinese. Your website has the updated information but the app doesn't. News broke of that a few days before your last update of this app (mid November).

This app guides all my purchasing decisions. Everyone should have this app on their phone. Use this app to make just make one change to a more ethical and sustainable alternative in your next shop. It will make a difference.

Useful enough. Needs hierchy filters on the search for a user to choose what they value, as the app's treatment of GM and non-vegan as whole negatives is counter-factual.

This is an important tool for me to spend my money ethically. Keep up the great work! I would like an update to match the 2019 book!

The app keeps telling me to update the database but update fails every time I try to do this.

So easy to use and a lot of information set out in a very organised way so you can choose which criteria are important to you.

Went to open the app.. aug2020.. says it needs updating... I try... Keeps failing to update.. please fix

I've been using this app for four years & highly recommend it to anyone who wants to know which products & companies are ethical. Database is updated regularly. Would love to be able to choose a red star for products & companies I want to avoid!

I don't live in Australia but bought the app just to support this awesome initiative. Hopefully it expands to other countries in some way or other countries adopt this ranking system as well. Using this app will let conscious buyers make informed decisions on how they can do their part for their environment by supporting the right company. I wish all the luck for their progress here from India.

So I'm sure this app is great if you live in Australia, but they should probably make more visible that those are the products that this app rates. I scanned 20 items after purchasing this app and all of the read that they weren't in the database. I didn't realize until then that American products aren't in there.

Best app and easy to use to find all catergories of items ethically ranked. Informative and eye opening. You'll never look at some products the same after knowing their chain of production! Barcode scanner is the cherry on top! Well done Shop ethical!

Love this app! It's easy to use, gives a lot of information on a wide range of commonly bought products. The A to F rating system is easy to scan.
