Literally the worst; it's like they're trying to discourage you from playing/winning (which is ironic considering the name of the app). You have to click 3 or 4 buttons for every single ticket scan (not counting the match three games). If you need to use your flash while scanning, you have to check the 'use flash' option every single time. You also can only submit one token (or 2 or 3 depending on the prize) at a time in the sweepstakes, so it's super fun when you have 400+ tokens 😡

If I could give it a zero stars rating, I would. After reading some of the ratings, I wasn't going to down load this app. But a couple of days later the scores got better. It will scan the first few tickets, then lose its place. It took me 10 minutes to scan 6 tickets, 3 of them were considered "bad" or "unreadable ". Annoying. The whole purpose of scanning was to make this process faster. It may be faster to just type the codes in by hand.

They fixed the app, but the app is beyond awful. We used to be able to put together the board, which was fun. Now we spend all the time scanning. Worse, we end up winning less and less due to each chance step. Worse, I've noticed that products have gone up in price, at the stores. As if to compensate for the coupons. Absolutely ridiculous. Monopoly is not fun to participate anymore. I'd rather shop elsewhere, now.

The game isn't fun anymore. Don't like the pick three titles/deeds, especially to only win a bottle of water or an equally disappointing product. Very few tokens are won when scanning. Too few prizes to shoot for at any given time. No longer monopoly, feels like a chore. Not sure I'll play this year. Seems like there are more layers of chance to (NOT) win anything. Bring back the thrill of the board pieces, please!

Just like everyone else, after 3 weeks of doing this, the app won't let me past the product page. The flash is set to default and the game changes are horrendous. I had fun playing in the past, even though I never won any more than $5 cash or a $5 casb card. I was able to save up enough points to get a $25 cash card for 3 years running plus free items from the store. But now the game just socks big time. I've given up and will shop more elsewhere.

This app is as useless a knitted condom. Scanning coupons with your phone works about a quarter of the time. When it does scan, the app sometimes freezes, so you have to restart the app, or it tells you the code is wrong, so you have to type in the code anyways. Most of the cards are dumb coupons no one will ever really use, and the playable cards are all rigged. I've done around 15, and you have to tap and match 3 of 9 cards, and you never end up matching. Bring back the old board system!!!

This is one of the worst apps I've ever used, although i believe it's actually the web site/services to blame. Incredibly slow UI, scanning codes often fails, zero UI feedback when it's waiting, so I don't know if I should scan again or wait. The code history screen actually has an animation that looks like it's loading, but it never finished no matter how long I waited. I can't help but feel it's intentional to prevent people from claiming prizes

I wasn't going to play monopoly because of my last experience with this app but thought maybe it had been improved. Not. I cant even login! It says my email is not the correct email associated with my Just 4 U account but guess what, it's the one they send all the ads too and it's the only one I've had since 2008! There are not contact numbers and zero support. Very sloppy and very frustrating.

Deleted Everything! I've been using the app since the game started again this year. I updated it last week, everything was fine. This week I go to scan my new tickets and it doesn't recognize my login. I try to reset my password. It doesn't recognize my email. I had to start a new account. EVERYTHING IS GONE! No markers tracked, no tokens... nothing. All that time and effort wasted.

It's a scam. Servers conveniently have issues the days before tokens expire, then the gift cards are no longer available. I actually had enough for a $25 gift card and the redeem button was enabled, which means it was BEFORE the limit was reached. When I clicked it, I got a server error. Seemed like load issues. Kept trying that evening, but it never worked. The next morning, the button was disabled, meaning the limit was reached. So essentially I lost $25 because of poor server load planning. Sad. Will NOT be playing Monopoly ever again. What a waste of time!

Everything about this sucks. Finally figured out how to make it scan. Then it was just annoying how many clicks from one to the next and repeat. After 80 scans I end up with a small bottle of water and cream cheese...lol really? This game is the biggest waste of time ever. Worst time I've had "winning" in my life. I live across the street from this store but might shop elsewhere just on principle.

Mostly works, but aggravating when it doesn't. Scanned an instant winner, for example, to which it says "NOT a winning code" despite the code matching perfectly to what's on the ticket. Then when you scan the 16-digit codes, it often requires several tries: you might find it easier to slowly tilt the ticket toward you as you scan as the light needs to hit it just right. This year, when the slot machine is spun it doesn't indicate what you won. Workaround is to view your winnings in Code History.

The app gets one star and well deserved for being a confusing mess designed to suck up your time. It's little things like putting the prizes in seemingly random order or having a "tracker" without visual representation of any kind. Good to know I'm 3/7 of the way to a vacation home I guess. There guys make Monopoly boring. This thing has gotten kinda shameless. Forcing you to give as much information as possible. I remember when these were to try to drive foot traffic to McDonald's.

The change in game is a bit disappointing. Not sure if this is an app thing though. Used to be the board and then extras on the app, but now the whole game is on the app, but it's a match 3 mini game per ticket, which has (so far at least for us) has a 2% chance of winning anything, and the prizes have been french bread, and the things we didn't win were $5 to our Just4U account. Hopefully they will go back to the original.

A little busy, and the instant win barcodes don't scan... I've had to type each one in individually, which is annoying. when you scan the QR codes it records the pieces which is great but there is no visual of what you have collected and what you are missing :( I didn't like how I had to sign in again every time I opened the app and then it told me I couldn't continue without downloading the update ... and it won't let me download the update. Very frustrating

New match 3 game makes it feel like you're losing even more than the old board game. Every code you have to manually enter because the camera doesn't work anymore. Consolation prize rewards 1-8 tokens or a bottle of water. But you need 80 tokens just to get $5 cash with a max of $25 to win. Everything else is a game of chance on top of multiple layers of chance.

First it's an improvement over last year's as it does not make you sign in every other time. Still not the most user friendly when you have to scan multiple tickets. The ticket bar code is always on a crease which makes scanning hard. There should be a batch scan option. Also needs to be able to apply points quicker, like set a number of points you want to spend on an entry. In general to much clicking to scan, select cards, then select again then hit close. Not user friendly when scanning

App will not scan codes. My camera works great. I have good lighting. Also, once the first code is entered manually, it goes to the submit screen. From there, there is no navigation and the phone back button is disabled. There is no way to leave the screen. Even exiting the app returns to the same screen. App is totally useless.

Terrible design, the app and the game. First the app. Clunkiest interface ever. Like it was written in the 80s for an Apple 2e. Why the hell does it default to using the light with the camera? And you have to turn it off EACH AND EVERY TIME. Not each time you open, each time you scan a ticket. Got 5? Have to uncheck 5 times. How many people are trying to scan where it's too dark for THEM to see the tickets? Slow, clunky its a 1k monkeys with typewriters project. And then choose 3 squares?

This new game format is horrible, in my opinion. Not sure how it is "Monopoly" with no board and no Monopoly game elements. All you do is scan a code, pick 3 things to try to match, and it shows you what you lost with your poor picks. Just to rub your loss in your face, up in the right hand corner the names of people who just won are displayed, so you can feel even better about losing. If I wanted a gambling style game, I would just go to the casino.

Like many others, I can't get the game to activate. Can't get passed the main screen, no button to start the game. Have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. Have many game pieces to scan in.. I hate this app. Can't use, guess they DON"T want anyone to at least have a chance to win. Oh, this is NOT Monopoly. There is no Monopoly board (even virtual) to add the non-existent game pieces to. . Don't call it what it no longer is. This is a complete failure and farce..

New update sucks. Now you're forced to confirm your entries. Takes twice as long to spend tokens now. Very annoying it signs you out every day.***Response to developer: then you have a lot of idiots using the app. The box is in the middle of the screen, you can easily scroll through the page using either side. Plus I don't believe that. It's just people trying to get their tokens back clearly. You don't hold down your finger to scroll, you have to hold down your finger to activate the box. Morons

This game isn't fun anymore. I liked getting the little pieces for the game board. I hate that every game piece has to be scanned in the app just to use it in stores, like the coupons & free items. It's also not fair you've made it all digital. Not everyone has a smartphone so older people can't play anymore. You've also taken Fandango out as a prize to use your points on so it's basically pointless. Nothing like any monopoly game. Needs to go back to the way it was or change it's name.

The app is garbage. Only 3 out of 10 coupons would scan, and those required multiple attempts. The scan area is square, yet the bar code is a rectangle, so you cannot put the camera close without cutting off the sides of the barcode. It is tedious to scan more than one coupon. Scan next should be default. Who has just one ticket to scan? F-minus.

Most things will work on my phone. Didn't like having to click, scroll, click, to keep scanning codes after each match game. Whenever I try to look at the winners, it opens the page then shuts down the app a second after. Not a fan that we don't get board pieces anymore either, but I never won from that anyways. Can't even find a spot in the store where they sell the 16 oz water bottles in which I won many to get for free. As usual most coupons I won't use, but there is the occasional item I do.

Horrible App. Complete waste of time. It turns on the flashlight constantly. super slow. It has trouble scanning the bar code. The chance choice just stalls out. Complete garbage. I hate the entire experience. It sucks. I might just quit shopping at safeway because it is not worth the effort to scan these game piece tickets. Also the entire "pick 3 of 9" to win is a complete scam. What a joke. You need to fix your garbage.

This app had been okay. It mostly worked for scanning the monopoly pieces - if the lighting was just right. I say it worked, because the latest update completely broke it. It now does nothing. At all. No way to log in, no way to scan anything. It's just a home screen that pretends like it will let you pick your store. The end.

What an absolute failure! It downloaded and I have the main screen, that's it. The options for other sub-screens like FAQ, etc do not work. No way to scan any tickets. Can't even open "terms and conditions". What an excellent way to kill a fun game...someone was actually paid to develop and rollout this worthless app that has done nothing but thoroughly frustrate customers.

Reading other reviews, I was annoyed before I even downloaded this. I was pleased to see it works perfectly, sinks with my Safeway "just for U" app and puts all my coupons and instant wins right in there on my list. The sweepstakes points are secondary to the coupons and instant wins. Once you're all set up on both apps it takes only a minute to scan your tickets in after your shopping trip.

Basically because this also works with a website it's all run on servers, so when other people are also waking your region turn to input codes everything gets slowed down so much. There's an issue of the visual language, where the red tickets are typically buttons, but sometimes they are just banners so you can be clicking on something and it's not actually a button, and the page doesn't load to show you the options Also scanning errors, input the code yourself if it doesn't work on scan
