Shopee was a good platform to shop in its early days. UI was clean, the shopping experience was satisfactory. The coins system was working to keep shoppers shopping. BUT NOW, the experience is bad. You cannot choose your courier anymore and thats a significant bad change. The couriers used are so slow (BEST EXPRESS), and even some deliveries take too long. Please, give back the users the option to choose their own couriers. That is enough for a 5* rating.
It was great until recently. apps lag too much. I couldn't even checkout my cart. Error messages keep popping out without a clear solution provided for it. Delivery service is slower than previously. The only thing I can do is request for refund when it has exceeded the estimated delivery date. I hope it can improve better as how it used to be.
It was good previously and now it is getting from bad to worse. App is laggy, shipping option fails to load, messages and notification is always at 1 but there is none which is annoying, back button on phone does not work and sometimes page frozen even with high speed internet connection. Extremely terrible customer service as no there is always no reply and problems are never able to solve. Time to move on to other platforms.
Getting to be worst since these few weeks. Difficult to scroll fast now as screen will freeze despite selecting an item to look at. And as others has mentioned, the back < function on my phone does not bring it back to the previous page as it should be. Doesn't work anymore. Have to use the ← function at the top left corner of the app instead. It's frustrating!!!!!
Takes time to get used to it, but soon after I find the app as easy to use as the browser one. Only downsides are the interface is kinda cluttered, it can be tricky to tell if the item entries are listed as ads or not, and the sorting and filter system sometimes don't work, like sometimes you'd get high priced items followed by lower ones on the first page even if you sort the listing with "price - ascending" setting.
Lots of super cheap price items compare to lazada. Edit 2022: App performance not great. When browsing some item and wanna press back, it took few seconds delay to go back. At some point I accidentally press the back button many times in results shopee to go back many times and back to home page! Also when I took picture from my phone camera and wanna rate a product, recent pics will not shown unless if I screenshot the pic afterwards. This is so frustrating!
App keeps getting worser by the updates. It's so slow to even open the listings, like it didn't register the touch on the screen when tapping on a listing. You can scroll but you can open the listings? It also doesn't register the phone's return button, you have to TAP on the app's return button for it to work. Ridiculous app, wasting people's time. Not to even mention the service, the 'express' delivery.
The lousiest app of all, keep on showing invalid address while trying to edit the name and address! And that all the customer have no choice to choose the courier company. Besides, it's hard to send photos and videos to the seller. It keeps on showing sending for such a long time forever!😡😡👿👿
The app itself is terrible. The longer you browse, the less responsive it is. Waiting time can exceed 40s between action tap and the resulting response. Reinstalling, clearing cache & storage changes nothing. Images that can't load, it really won't load. Tap into it or go back a page and return. Nothing. Try your luck next time you view the product. Confusing Free Shipping voucher applications. Not clear, not transparent. And I can't add my address because of their useless map!! 🤬
1) Sometimes back button doesn't respond. Can't go to previous page or exit the app. This happen when re-enter the app after switching between apps or went to homescreen. 2) The longer I use, the more laggier it gets. This bug has not been fix for a very long time. Even using high performance phone gets lag? 3) Some page suddenly just freeze or just lost connection and clicking some item gets slow respond. These are the bugs I have encounter...for now. Your app need A LOT of improvement.
I'm going to be honest, there are few things that I wasn't satisfied with this app. First of all, the app is getting laggy these days and I personally don't mind it. What I do care is that we don't have the option to choose courier. When shopee first introduced, I was skeptical of using it and when I tried it for the first time. It was good. Now it's just a hassle. I already lost my parcel twice due to unable change courier and stuck with the same delivery courier. You know who I'm talking about
BEWARE of this UNSAFE app & platform! You may lose your money, or products, and definitely time. As the seller, my shipped out item to the buyer was possibly stolen by someone during the delivery process under Shopee Xpress. It made a lot of problems to communicate with CS teams for processing the refund to the buyer and compensation to the seller. The item has never been found nor returned. Sad but true.
This app has become very slow. It takes longer time to load every item. There is also no option to choose the courier service. Most of the time the standard delivery will be delivered by the Shopee Snail Express that takes between 5 to 10 days. If we complain to the customer service, they will add another 7 days for the delivery. This has happened multiple times for this year only which is very annoying and frustrating. Online shopping supposed to be convenient.
The app has gotten worse ! Updating it doesn't help at all. App freezes and lags, on and on i'm getting sick of it. Every button is not functioning! Took hours to buy an item, after few restarts of the app. I give 2* as it used to be a great performing app.
Apps is super laggy... a lot of times the app is not responding when i clicked on the buttons, i need to click so many times in order for it to respond sometimes.. for example,i want to click on "reviews" to read the feedbacks,, and then it took a minute to actually come out... even scrolling is laggy and pictures load slow.. I've checked many times if it's because of my internet connection but it's not.. it's the app.. the laggy performance made me too lazy to use shopee
Worst app. Waste my time. When I check out the items to pay, suddenly it exit payment page. I have tried it sooooo many times but it doesnt work. Urgh! it doesnt have function! like you would like to buy something, and you wanna pay for it, but it keep exit the payment page and it goes to order page. Damn! I hate it. I dont know what the hell is going on, but please! please fix it. Thank You.
This app has becoming unbearably sluggish & unresponsive over extend period of usage. It's practically unusable if you browsing through product after product in one session. Clearing the cache won't help at all as the problem lies within the app optimization department. I suggest create a different app for live-streaming & other useless section. Simplify the app for ecommerce only. Shopee is trying to be all at once, from live streaming, to mini social media, etc. No wonder the app is heavy.
Shopee used to be my go-to online shopping hub for its convenience. But it has since lost in its own progress-or regress? Can't choose prefered courrier. Often times than not, shipping was given to Shopee's or JnT. Both are very slow due to high traffic. Lots of parcels ended up missing. I don't mind if it's cronism at its peak, but at least do your job. You're making a convenient barter system by default to be totally incovenient & ridiculous.
Experiencing intermittent bugs and lags. Shopee pay has also been acting weird and their system automatically cancelled my discounted order caused by non payment (due to Shopee Pay's inherent issue). They have decided that no comment is the best solution. CS has also been going down the drain, mostly using monotonous, robotic scripts.
1. App lags way too long to the point of giving up buying! 2.Purchased multiple items frm same shop, if later seller says 1 item is out of stock (but it was in stock in the listing!), then I had to CANCEL the ENTIRE list (seller's advise), request refund & then re-order alternatives. How inconvenient! 3. Why can't we choose courier services anymore? 4. The Sort option doesn't really sort effectively, misleading adverts inbetween. 5. We can't demerit seller's who cancel order after 1 mth silence!

Back button not working. Sometime had to switch app to exit popout or unresponsive prompt. Shopee itself is getting stingy with it's free shipping option. From most item free shipping back in early year of Shopee, to you have to use ShopeePay to apply the voucher, to down right 'Free shipping/Discount not applicable to this product'. Now I had to wait for major promotions date (usually ended before my payday) if I ever want these limited free shipping voucher that I might not able to use.
All things have been improved now. Thanks Shopee. I just wish I could grab the RM25 Knockout Sale. No luck again today. Maybe next time 😀 Hello, I have finished all 500 levels in Shopee Words. Please add more levels. It was fun to play it with my sister. Hello I tried to make second address as default address but it says an "error has occurred. Please try again later". Please fix this issue.
The app is too laggy. No matter how excellent your phone and internet connection is, it's just laggy as hell, to the point that you can't even scroll or tap anything. Plus, you can't pick the courier of your choice now and the ones they assigned are slow af.
App lags - slow and most times it 'hangs'. Have to refresh every 3 mins browsing - annoying. This is a security concern for me especially when payment's involved. My phone is Samsung S10E on Android 12 with very minimal installed apps. One more thing - why repeatedly show things I've bought before? I dont need another oven or another set of cooking pots in my home. I have only 1 kitchen 🤷🏻♀️ The algorhythm should be able to introduce new stuff to keep the interest going.
Shopee delivery is poor, usually leaves stuff at the wrong house or in the middle of the night, but you don't really get a choice. The "free shipping" is annoying, app is spammy inside and outside. Lots of counterfeit products covered by their originality guarantee. BUT lots of cheap stuff, and a large variety of things. Okay for anything you would buy at a pasar malam.
Bad application structure!!!! Please update "cancel all order" to having option "cancel all and add to cart/clear". I hate to add back all my cancel item due to your transaction limit issue! If I will have transaction limit, before I place order, you should remind me so I can unselect item and continue. Rather than proceed to pay and got the message so I need to cancel all and add back one by one. Please have a common sense!
I've given a 5 star in the past. But I must confess that the new update has caused the inability to go back through swiping. I have to manually click the top left button which is both inconvenient for long use and hard to reach for the majority of right handed people. Pages also load noticeably slow in recent updates. Will update review once shopee fixes the bugs.
I'm not sure why but your app has been so laggy lately. Even with a good phone and excelent internet connection it won't be able to open a listing fully. And if you went to a few items (usually more than 4) it will seriously be laggy to the point it will just freeze. Never had the problem on the website. Just the app. It's frustrating when you see something you want to buy but the page won't even load properly so you can't put it in you fav or cart.
