Shopping list voice input

Very good voice recognition. Saves having to write or type out your list. Also good that you can either choose to delete the items from the list completely once you've picked them or just cross them out and then uncross them if you want to use the same list next time. 2021 update. I appreciate this is a free app and relies on advertising, but recently when an add pops up, it's impossible to close down or get rid of, so I can no longer use the app.Out of space to reply, but will try using again

Am more used to writing a list so wasn't keen on speaking what I wanted to my phone, regardless I decided to attain this app. Now I see an app like this is a necessity when it comes to time. Voiceing what you want than writing saves time. However when using the voice feature, the app often writes what I said wrong, even in a quiet room and I'm speaking clearly. Beyond frustrating one would have to type down certain items instead.

I gave this 4 out of 5 stars, because I have seen shopping list apps that have a little more to them rather than just black-and-white with strange lines. I used a different shopping list app before I found this one and it was it okay. I changed apps, because on the one I had been using, I somehow deleted my list and brought up a weird menu on the app that I couldn't get out of. This app works a lot better in regard to voice recognition too and I appreciate that.

I like the convenience of setting up lists for different stores. Am still a basic user and not sure if it has the ability to put in prices & quantity to compare total cost w/qty. Am sure I have more to explore in this apps tools, but far more efficient than using ColorNotes until trying this out. I tried 2 other shopping list apps before this and found them awkward & cumbersome. This was easy to use out of the gate.

Love this app! I can add to my grocery list whenever I think of something wherever I am. Its easy to cross things off as I get them with just a tap and then move them to the bottom off the list - but still handy if I ever need to look back at what furnace filter size I got last time, etc. You can also maintain multiple shopping lists. I am setting up a Air BnB and have a separate shopping list for that.

It's one of the better shopping apps yet I consider it at the average of what a shopping app should be. Apparently shopping apps are difficult, I can understand that, so I'll give it a 4 based on all the other apps being a 2. I can't use categories because they are terribly implemented, I have made a personal work around. I want the checked item to move back to it's original space, it doesn't. No space for it all here but it does a lot correct, though, so I'll give it a 4.

I used to love this app, but ever since the last update a lot of my items from list are showing up doubled. If I delete one they both delete. PLEASE FIX THIS. THIS IS REALLY ANNOYING. Now some of my items that had prices don't. I don't want to find another shopping app but I will if issues aren't addressed. If they are fixed I will change my rating back to 5 stars.

Very good app. One of the few apps I would consider paying for if they would add an automatic sorting option. While shopping, I cross off things I have found but the app does not move the crossed off item to the bottom of the list. So when list's are long, items I still need to purchase are out of frame and I forget to scroll down for them. I end up forgetting to buy items I need. So Iif the purpose of this App is to remind the user or to same time, it could do a way better. Hello ???

I used this in the supermarket for the first time today. It was really helpful apart from when all the items from a few of my categories disappeared and for some reason the app wouldn't let me add them back in using the voice command, hence the 4* rating. Will give it another go. I really like this app as I've wanted a shopping list I could categorise.

I gave up on paper shopping lists because I always end up either forgetting or losing them. It's very unlikely that I'll either forget or lose my phone, so this is perfect! I tried few of this kind of apps and this one is the most easy, user-friendly, both visually and interactively, so it's the only one, out of the 4 or 5 I've downloaded, that survived on my phone.

Very simple, straight forward and too the point which I do like. I wish I could change the font, as I use this app for all my lists, not just groceries list...so sometimes I need 2 lines & w/ the large font it makes it too crowded & just doesn't look great. But I'm just being picky. It would also be nice to have a "print" option where it could be properly formatted to print out the check list. I like that it's simple but there really are so many possibilities to make this the ultimate list app

Grocery lists are recurring lists, the use of which this app does not serve well. When people buy groceries, they choose mainly from a relatively small list of items they have bought in the past with some regularity. Consequently, it would make a lot of sense to allow users to set up a base list of things they buy recurrently and then allow them to quickly and easily create a specific shopping trip list by checking off choices from their base list. The base list serves as a memory aid and obviates the need for a lot of typing or speaking to set up a shopping list for every trip one takes to the store. Also, this app does not include settings to alphabetize categories or to keep items in a particular category as the user moves category headers around. This is important because people like alphabetical lists, but they do not shop alphabetically in the store. Rather, they move from one section or aisle of the store to another, getting everything they need from that section before moving to the next. As a previous user of Grocery Gadget (iPhone), which does offer this functionality, I find this app extremely disappointing. It's not worth the trouble of using. I can do much faster with scrap paper and pen what this app does on my phone. I would encourage the developers to look at Grocery Gadget, to see the benefits of what I have tried to describe here.

Finally I found an app that I want to keep using and not get rid of immediately. Love the colors and simple font selection. The microphone voice detector works so well and easy to use. Love the options of making lists with voice or text and easy to edit if you change your mind. Not a whole lot of ads disrupting, in fact I don't really recall seeing any that took away my attention. It would be good to practice with it before you do an actual list so your comfortable. Quick and easy.

I like it very much. It opens with easy access to my list. I can use it by speaking or text & can fairly easily edit. It gave me choices of background, colors & fonts. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because I couldnt figure out how to use some of the features. Like how to create the categories within the list & change the font size of the names of the lists. its very helpful easy to use; instead of looking for scraps of paper lists in the bottomless pit of my purse.

So far so good! Very smooth and easy to use. Voice to text as soon as you remember that thing you keep forgetting to get at the store and its added instantly to the list. Items are just as easy to delete / remove. I have not encountered any overwhelming ads or commercials. For me, this alone adds credibility to a well-designed app that accurately. Accomplishes its purpose. Thank you and well done. !

I really like the fact that I can speak into this ap to make my shopping list. I really like the editing process too. The only fault I find with the ap is that items can disappear too easily. Perhaps users can have a choice of having the discard icons on the left-hand or the right-hand side of the phone. I say this because sometimes when I get home from grocery shopping, I don't have some items that were originally on my list. While shopping & holding my phone, my finger accidentally deletes.

I have adhd and this is the best way to grocery shop!! No trying to remember what I need. The app had a microphone and you can just say items that you need. It puts then down in a nice, easy to read shopping list. When you get your item, you just touch and it's crossed off. Also easy to delete if you change your mind. Super helpful app!!!!

This app is fantastic! Super easy to use, and I love the voice feature so I can add items to my list that way instead of having to type them out. And, with the voice feature, you can add multiple items at a time. I also love that I can create my own categories. I put the categories in order to match the layout of my grocery store and that makes my shipping trip easier.

I just found/installed this app today. I'm updating my review as I go here. I'm very pleased and impressed so far. It seems very easy to use. I really appreciate being able to customize backgrounds/fonts, sort in lists as I go, make multiple lists, use for more than groceries. I love using the word "and" or another separator command word to automatically make entries. I don't have to press a button every time I want to add to the list. Game changer!!!!

Very easy to use, compared to handwriting a list, and with optional voice input can be much faster. During the lockdown our daughter has been shopping for us and we can share the list with her on WhatsApp which is really convenient. The free version does present adverts but not intrusive enough to be a problem. Lists can be saved and modified under a new title which can be useful for last minute needs. For what we want, this app is highly appreciated and recommended.

I wanted a simple grocery and store list app without all the other complications. This app is prefect. Let's you create multiple lists, makes it easy to add items, check off items that can be added easily again and delete unwanted items individually. It also puts your lists in alphabetical order so you can easily find the items to add again when needed. I have tried quite a few grocery list apps, but this one is the best for simple lists, and it doesn't drain your phone battery.

Love this app. Talk converts to text on shopping list perfect. Ability to add a category like food, toiletries, or anything you want to add. Can change unit of issue, like eat, pkg, lb or what ever. You can select quantity. You can have several lists. I use one as shopping, and added another as Misc. When you add items, it keeps them all listed under "My Items". When you click on an item it keeps it on list, but draws a line through it. That is really cool. Option to delete items when done shop

Great free app, can move items up or down but would like to have been able to put them in order. This can be done by moving them up & down but it does take quite a while if doing a weekly shopping list. When you're shopping you can just touch the item on your list that you've put in your trolley putting it in the grey with a line through it. When you have finished using your list you can bring your list back by touching each item ready for the next shopping session. You can add remove or items.

It's too easy to "accidentally delete" items on your list if you don't put your phone in sleep mode while your carrying your phone around. I'm looking at my app to see the next thing on my list, I look away for 5 mins, look back at my phone and 1+ items are gone & I CANT REMEMBER WHAT THEY WERE! That stinks!! Sure, if you do this, it gives you 3 secs to "undo" a delete right after you accidentally delete it, but not after that. **UPDATE..Thanks Toni!! Love the APP!!! I have all kinds of lists!

I love being able to sort my list by category. I can create any categories I choose. I've categorized by stores, aisles, food categories... The possibilities are endless. You can also enter prices for items for future use and add recipe ingredients to separate lists should you need to. I love it and use it almost daily. If there are ads I haven't noticed them or just can't recall them, so they must not that annoying. Just give it a try. If you don't like it uninstall it. It's that simple.

I have just started using this and it looks absolutely marvelous. it seems you can create different shopping lists but better then that you can just cross out items as you pull them off the shelf just by touching them. The crossed out items remain there until you touch them again so you can reuse them if there is a repetitive item. absolutely wonderful.

I use it daily. It is easy and quick to get items added to your list. The only improvement that I can suggest is to be able to add the entry into a specific lication instead of creating a new entry and then having to drag it to where you want to place. No big deal if you have a short list, but if it is a long one then you have to drag, scroll, drag again, scroll again until you get to the lication where you want to place the entry. Other than that I am very hapoy with the app.

Items are added as you think about them but there is no way to sort like items such as dairy, meat, or canned goods. Who needs a choice of fonts? Practical solutions like drag and drop to move items in your list to where they are in a store and REMEMBER that sort would be ideal. The ability to restore the entire list or selected items for the next grocery day would be even better. Right now, this app is a fail.
