ShopRite App

Wow. I thought the previous version was funky. This version is almost completely unworkable. Hasn't updated to prices shown in current circular. Won't load digital coupons. Two step search process is a giant step backward and also seems to provide incomplete results, even after choosing more results. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Didn't help. You really need to get your act together.

The old version was fine. Not perfect, but it allowed me to create shopping lists with out too many issues, and allowed digital coupons to be loaded without a hitch. This new version, however, needs some major improvements. Digital coupons won't load, and end up freezing the app, and it's not easy at all to select items I need for my shopping list. Do better.

The recent major update has made this app nearly unusable. Added steps slow it down. For example, searches show only 3 random results. An extra click is needed to see the actual list. There's a superfluous "Item added to cart" banner every time an item is added - another slowdown. It takes much longer to sift through past purchases. If the goal is to get shoppers back in the store by making online shopping take longer than shopping in person, then it's doing its job. Otherwise, please fix it!!

When creating a shopping list the aisles are not displaying in order. For example it can go from 11,12,15,16,13. Not very useful when in the store. There's also a lot of items in the flyer that can't even be added to a list. When searching you basically have to tap twice now which doubles the time. Same thing when adding items to the cart, there's an annoying pop-up to confirm it so twice the taps once again New app is worse.

It used to be easy to use. The latest update is a major regression in my opinion. The previous purchase screen is not optimized for mobile devices, forcing you to do both vertical and horizontal scrolling to select items. This is painful. Then, to make matters even worse, every time you add an item to a list this annoying little confirmation pop-up appears that needs to be cleared causing twice as many touch actions than is necessary to add items.

I have ALWAYS loved the ShopRite app and how easy it was to use, I've been using it for years. Since the update i can barely use it. When I look at the circular and click on something to add to the cart, it would have an error message and that it couldn't load. For every single item. It's frustrating when a system worked great before and now can't really be used.

EDIT: The review below was for the old version. The recent update STINKS, or at the very least is not nearly as easy to navigate. For instance, switching from online order to in-store list was easy. Now? If it is there, neither my wife nor I can find it. There are other new issues too. Skip! This app has absolutely gotten more business out of me. SR is farther away than other stores, but between the buy online/pickup and the shopping list ordered by aisle, it makes the longer trip worth it.

Requires an unwanted upgrade and a changed PW but doesn't stop there. Asking me to do it again, again. Lost my saved lists and digital coupons, format is different, harder to use if I'm allowed on to the site. My phone and computer are synced but this app doesn't seem to think so. I really like ShopRite but this enhancement is a disaster. Please go back to the tried and true version we all had no problem with.

Not a fan of the latest update in May. Although the app is more eye pleasing, some simple tasks in the past version are now missing or takes longer to do. For instance, there is no longer an email or print function. This is important so I can share the list with others. The weekly ad pages are lumped all into one rather than page by page. This is hard to view on a mobile phone. The app also takes about 3 mins to open which is rough when I am standing in line with other customers behind me.

while the new update is more atheistically pleasing, there are so many bugs. first, nothing loads and if it does, it takes forever. second, when you add something to the shopping list, the price doesn't register. everything is $0.00. and lastly! the shopping list doesn't save once you exit the app. i have to use another app to create my list. it defeats the purpose. bring back the old app! or fix all of these bugs.

The older version was great. Now it takes forever to open and is too much of a hassle to use. I'll type a product I want in the search bar, the item will pop up, I'll try to add it to my cart and it will suddenly disappear and I'll get a message that the product wasn't found. Extremely frustrating since the item was just pictured in front of me. It wasn't a one time glitch, I tried multiple times. It seems crazy to redesign an app that was working great.

This has got to be the worst Shoprite app in history! It's so slow. Most items do not load from the sales circular. Then after hours of frustration you go to check out. NOT! Managed to select a time slot for pick up time and okay now how do you check out? Hit "continue" and it says there's an error. Had to leave the App and go on the website to check out. Very inconvenient!! Go back to the old app!

The old app was better. This is much slower and clunkier to use. I don't like having to tap "view more," loading lists is slower, loading searches is slower, I can't see my whole favorites list at once - only by category, so I have to keep backing up instead of scrolling through one lost and clicking on what I want. This new version is NOT better. ALSO, my main reason for shopping at shoprite is gone. I can't get to the part where I select pickup or delivery. It won't load.

I downloaded the app because there was something in store that was only available as a digital coupon, but it won't even let me login. I click on the profile button to try to see a login screen, but nothing happens after the click. I reinstalled the app but the issue persists. After reading all these recent reviews, I guess their recent update trashed their app. I'm hoping they fix it soon after all these complaints.

I've increased my Stars from 1 to 3 with this supposedly improved app design. I was able to get the pages to load correctly after they were initially enlarged off the screen. It actually works well now loading coupons and searching. I don't use the shopping list that others have commented isn't working well. The details about the items are useless, almost, because they don't give the amounts, like gallons. The pictures don't always load and pinching out doesn't enlarge them to see the amount.

This new version is horrible!Can't load the products when clicked on in the weekly circular or load the digital coupons as in the previous version (have to go to separate digital coupon tab to load anything). When trying to view the new features tab, just shows up as blurry gibberish. Does not have "empty cart" feature any longer. Have to delete items 1 by 1. So disappointed with this "updated" version. It's like they just launched without even testing. The previous version was so much better.

Just when you thought this app couldn't get worse. So not only do you still have to "clip" each and every digital coupon (by far the most annoying thing about shoprite) but now you get a message that you also have to click for most coupons "This coupon is a digital version of a paper Super Coupon in your weekly circular..." What a complete waste of time. Will be spending much more time at Wegmans.

When setting up a shopping list you can't add notes to put items on that don't appear in the app. Serious downgrade from the previous version making it almost pointless to use the shopping list feature. In addition app won't let me add digital coupons. What's the point? Worst update to an app I have ever seen. Wish I could give negative stars.

I need to download an update weekly. I find it hard to believe that Shoprite's doing that regular of an update. Suspect problem with the app. A year later I'm trying to load digital coupons and the app wants me to enter my email. When I do so it says the email was entered incorrectly. Thinking about deleting the app, I can load digital coupons at the store. Now there's an update and the app doesn't recognize my email address.

The new app design is terrible. Search is clunky, prices are not always correct, the design is bloated so that the shopping list only shows on a small portion of the screen. Switching from in-store to pickup or vice versa erases your cart. There is not a single aspect of this redesign that improves on the old app.

This app is terrible after update. 95% of the time, the digital coupons (which you HAVE to use to get best deals) just don't load to your card. It's almost like it purposefully fails so you're forced to spend more money in the store. Previous versions worked fine, but after this update to "improve" everything, design and functionality is terrible. Apparently search is also broke in app and on website. I searched for multiple things including "chicken" with no results. Worthless now.

The new update changed the layout and it looks awful. It has some newer helpful features but what's the point if they don't work? It never keeps me signed in like it used to. Adding coupons to my card errors out. What's the point of even shopping at this store if these don't work? I preferred ShopRite because the app was great. It's terrible now and so glitchy. The smooth transitional view once observed in the circular is now replaced for some rudimentary scrolling feature (not smooth).

Updated May 2022. Your new version is even WORSE than the last!!!!! I can't use the plus button because a customer care icon is covering it so I have to add, backspace then type number. Digital coupons - keeps kicking me to the home screen, can't keep scrolling through coupons you have to click show all each time, you start back at 1st when you were just on 3rd if you click on item, disclaimer keeps popping up after you select items for coupon. Did you even attempt to test this before release?

This App is Ridiculous. It hasn't worked at all since the remodel. First for the longest time it wouldn't let me sign on, so I couldn't clip Any of the coupons using my phone. It kept telling me tomake a new password, but never sent me the link so i could do it! After 10 trys I gave up. But it did work on my 10.1" tablet! So, i was able to clip some i could get if i remembered what i clicked off. Now since they Re-Remodeled it, the app No longer works on either device!! Cant even see coupons

Whyyyyyyyy? The update is horrendous! First off, wouldn't take my password. I had to reset it and used the exact same password it wouldn't take. Clipping coupons is awful! For some of them, a message box pops up to tell me that the coupon was also in the circular, but I had to scroll all the way back to the top of the page to read the pop-up message and click OK before I could clip any more coupons. Then I had to scroll all the back down to where I left off. Change it back, please!!

Utterly useless. The app is no longer functional in any way, and just directs to the website on a browser. I miss being able to see which aisles everything is in, which the website does not show. It's been saying that a new app is coming soon for months now. Total garbage. Edited. Now that the app is functioning again, it's still hot trash. Listing the aisle number was the best part about the app and they've removed that. This is just a mobile version of the website. Dumbest decision ever

Update to new version on 5/13 - not any better. Still missing features. This new version is pretty bad. It is very slow to react to the users choices; it has no way to print out the in store shopping list; there is too much navigation when trying to shop aisles (can't select more than one aisle, it's back and forth) and it is not keeping me signed in. Seems like the programmers pushed it out before consulting users and thoroughly testing.

UPDATE. 1 WEEK LATER. Maybe I just got lucky last week and it worked. Well its been an absolute nightmare since. The struggle just to 'clip'coupons, load the page, etc... Shoprite, Im about to give up on you. Huge company with huge issues. I totally hated this app back in 2018 . It always froze if it even opened, but today was a game changer! New upgrade, New features, and it works! Looks beautiful too. Happy to see recipes added and past purchases much easier to get to. Bravo Shoprite!

I'm not opposed to new. In this case, new is definitely not better. It feels like it was created by someone who doesn't grocery shop weekly for a family. The past items idea, listed by department is clunky. Just make it a list. "See more" in every search is irritating because you can only see a few items at a time. It slows down shopping to a crawl. Eliminate that and just allow us to scroll. I'd be happy to teach the developers how to grocery shop for a better app.
