ShopSavvy Barcode Deal Scanner

Loud video commercials.. no matter how good an app is when it flips to a loud video commercial and you can't stop it it's totally inappropriate. I get the need for ads but not like this. I made this post and now I'm going to installing it- it's not the way to get people to buy apps

UPDATE: I quickly added another star just for the quick & friendly reply. Please note I do not have any items in watch lists... I simply want to use your nice app 'on demand' when I want to buy something. PREVIOUSLY: Noticing a lot of internet access by this app, even when not using it or doing any shopping. Otherwise, a promising app. Will award more stars if this issue is resolved.

so far the best app out if dozens I've tried, for getting product info and comparing prices. I buy bulk lots at auctions and then sell single units, so I use this app for my business to tell me what I've got when I don't even know, and what the selling prices are currently so I can stay informed and competitive, it's a crucial tool I use to run my home business! it recognizes most of the items compared to most other apps that didn't recognize even the common basic items barcodes!

Like so many others before, this app has been made unnecessarily complex. No more simple lists with simple prices presenting valuable, useful information. Developers just don't know when to leave well enough alone!

The app works as intended, although the app uses it own database for information scans; so you might not be able to find certain information on it. In some cases due to parameter restrictions of the app version number in use, the item might not be able to read at all. There is a specific light bulb that I know cannot be located by using the application at least as right now.

it could use some work kg laggs a bit and the damn thing pops up when your scrolling, that's why I have it 4 out of 5.

It used to be a pretty decent app for checking prices but now the ads have taken it over. Every time I close an advertisement, another one pops up. they're not small advertisements either; they cover most of the screen, if not all of the screen. I've yet to find a valid price for the 15 or 20 items I've tried to check on since the advertisements became so pervasive and invasive.

This app use to be great but does not work at all anymore because pop up adds are controlling it to the point it is useless. This app helps you find things you are looking for as well as find cheaper prices when you are trying to get a better deal with a price match. I have on many occasions saved as much as $5 to $10 on a single purchase on items in the $35 to $45 range with a price match. Recently this app has been block from working by a pop up add from Robert booker to do with the market.

I installed this app years ago, and found it did not actually help me. I research things ahead of time. So by the time I'm at the store and the app could help me, either I already know I'm looking at the best price, or being able to get the item immediately is more important than price. (If I need a part while in the middle of a remodeling project, and I make a trip to the hardware store, I'm going to get all the parts I need right there and then.) Lately the app has started advertising rebates through notifications. That's somewhat annoying but the straw that finally broke the camel's back was that when I unlocked my phone yesterday, this app shoved a full page ad in my face. I was not in the app, and had not gone into the app for years. Shoving ads in my face out of the blue is UNACCEPTABLE.

I've used your app for years and saved hundreds of dollars. I didn't use it for awhile and just recently "rediscovered" it. I'm sorely disappointed. It ABSOLUTELY isn't what it used to be. Your prices are inaccurate along with your stock levels. I understand stock levels can be difficult to maintain but prices! I'll be standing in front of a lower price, multiple times, yet you'll have your "lowest price" much higher. I haven't saved a cent with your app since taking the time to utalize it again

I've been using this app for around 4-5 years & I LOVE IT! If I'm shopping at a store & see an item I want to buy, it's so easy to whip out my phone & scan the barcode to compare prices everywhere else, including online retailers. I just love this app & I especially love the new feature of teaching price drops for any item I've scanned in the past.

It WAS Great. No More. It use to give me a list of stores both online and physical, now it just... Lists the top store? Anyway, it doesn't do much price comparison anymore. It does do a lot of price trending and lets me know when a price has dropped, but really, that's it. While that is a handy feature, it is not the reason I downloaded it.

Have to uninstall. This app started taking over when over a do a product search in Google. And it takes forever to do it. Extremely annoying and inconvenient.

Complete junk of an app. One item listed wasn't even close to the item that was scanned. The other item scanned just got stuck in "Searching..." never to be of any use at all one bit. Plus the ads cover up the entire screen. My conclusions are that this app is 100% fraudulent and should be removed from the Google Play Store altogether.

The search yields way too many results. Missing sort by price. This app only works for getting a broad view at the current market of well known common items. I keep trying this every once in a while, but every time I try to search for the best deal on an item I end up finding it easier and faster on a different app.

Very confusing app--constantly sends notifications about deals that you tap and it just takes you to a homescreen that is still showing an article about "what to expect" on Black Friday, which was a month ago. Nothing updates and navigating is incredibly difficult. Plus, you select stores you use and ones you don't and it does nothing.

I love how the app gives me prices for multiple places without having to search for myself. Thank you for making shopping for deals easier!

I believe this app was downloaded without my permission. It disrupts shopping. I was trying to add products to my Kohl's shopping cart, and it blocked my screen, so I couldn't figure out how to add products to cart. Then it tried to get my to sign into my account, but I was already signed in. Earlier I sent someone a link to an Amazon product, but when I clicked the link, it didn't take me to my Amazon account, it showed me a chart of other similar products. I would rate negative 100.

Terrible...Did Better Typing It on Google... I sell on eBay and sometimes i like to check the value. I try a few items to test it. Most of the time it will try to scan before focusing or will scan partial giving yiu no results. You mught need to scan about 3 times before it "catches". In a few items it tells me it is searching and nothing happens. Other times it tell me what it is but does not give me any prices. So sad, i was hoping to do my online searchea faster.

Nice app but could use a few updates. 1.The top search doesn't include shipping so a item at top could be $1000 +$200 shipping while some below it could be $1100 with no shipping. 2. Wish there was a way to report wrong price or shipping price as well. You will see something click on it & the price will be all wrong or have a shipping price that was not displayed on the app.

Very fast, efficient, and informative

After latest update(s), ShopSavvy no longer works on my Note 9 Android phone. App gets stuck on searching in both online and local tabs. It won't advance beyond the searching screen no matter how long I wait. Uninstalling but will try again soon as I really loved this app & used it often. Twice, I've tried uninstalling, restarting my phone, then reinstalling the app but problem persist.

Used to work and display prices and stores. Now nothing but ads and annoying things that has nothing to do with the scanned barcode. Update to the developer response: this absolutely happen with every single barcode, nothing shows up but ads, no stores or online sellers period, and all are household items, kitchen stuff, air refreshing, food, electronics, hardware items. It basically makes no difference. The oldest version of the app that had no ads was working flawless & was the only app i use

to many pop ups now. used to work seamless and now it's asking to install on browser. ads making it inconvenient from what a great app it was

when I first started using this program everything that I scanned had a price. Now maybe half if I'm lucky will ever even find someplace to match it to.

The app does not work! It will not scan anything. Wish I could rate it 0 stars. Uninstalling it Everytime I try to scan a barcode it won't scan. No matter how many times I try whether it is a TV, box of cookies or a bath and body works candle. I always update the app when needed and it hasn't properly worked for me ever.

very disappointed in the new version. had been using this app for years, never once had a problem with a bar code scanning,... now since a new version of scanner is used, Almost all barcodes are blurred and wont focus to scan. after years of being loyal to shopsavy,... I'm now going to find a different app.
