Shortwave Radio Schedules
This app provides schedules and frequencies for shortwave radio broadcasts throughout the world. Information is also included on some utility stations, Firedrake jammer etc.
Information is taking from the Eibi schedule (http://www.eibispace.de/) and AOKI Schedule.
Location permissions are for mapping features for Google Maps API and displaying your current location on a map. For full source code see

RECORDING PERMISSION
- This is for recording your DX catches or anything else you are listening to using the built in logging option. If you choose to share the log then the mp3 recording is uploaded to a server I run along with the station name and frequency (but no information about the user or your location) and a link is returned to be shared for example http://9915.khz.mobi/b .
The app has the following features:
*Schedules easily updated from Eibi and stored on device meaning data connection is not needed once schedules are downloaded.
* Search by time showing all stations broadcasting to a chosen target area at a specific time
* Search by station showing either complete station schedule and frequencies or only broadcasts of a station at a chosen time
* Search by frequency to identify a station you are listening to either at a specific time or any time.
* Search by language to find stations only broadcasting in a specific language.
* Shows maps of transmitters location and beam direction from AOKI list
* Log your DX catches, record audio recordings of the station and share your logs using Android share options.
Results show the station name, the broadcast start and end time, the target area of the station (EU, Asia, Africa, North America etc.) and a list of frequencies including the transmitter location (swipe across to see more frequencies)

Its OK but I am listening to a foreign language station on 7.120 MHz and the signal is weak but readable. This is in the 40 meter ham band and most broadcasters honor the agreement to stay above 7200 KHz but obviously this one isn't. But I STILL want to know what station it is but no joy using this app to find out. I have the paid version and this is the 3rd occurrence like this. Being a ham radio op for 34 years and a swl for 62 years means its not my first weekend out. These listings are not kept up to date as they should be. Disappointing. This is an exotic station so important to know for those of us who like to hunt for the rare DX. :-(
For those who enjoy listening to Shortwave Radio Broadcasts this app in the full version is one of the best investments to help make your SW listening time more pleasurable and productive. Loaded with features, a must have app. Great backup support if needed. 5 Stars!
I have used this app for some time now, and I really love it. it makes shortwave more interesting, if that's possible.it is a very accurate app, and with it I was able to hear some good dx stations that I thought didn't, exist thank you for such a great app. I can recommend this app,to anyone into shortwave and radio listening in general.
The app looks good. However, two days after paying for the premium upgrade the premium features are still locked.
The built-in audio player produces continuous choppy audio; as if its turning itself on and off twice a second. Still a 5 star app !!!
I've just bought the full version and I'm supposed to know what time a particular station broadcasts,the list of stations is wonderful but couldn't you have provided times too to make what is newcto me more understanding and enjoyable as an interest and hobby,please muchly and thank you
Very good. But user must learns how does shortwave radio signal propagate on different bands and different hours.
excellent app. "NOW" tab is very useful but request adding a target area filtering which would be very helpful
Was wondering if you had the decency to tell me why the app crashes and won't download what an it's supposed it literally won't work can you fix or do you not know how.

Most current SWL schedule info out there. Having the broadcast target is a great plus.

Prettty good. I especially like the what's on now section. It doesn't include everything but its still useful.

Developer immediately fixed minor install issue for Moto G8 Power on Android 10. Free app is fine but Premium app for only $1.49 is awesome for SW fans as it shows you the station schedules in both analog tuning dial and digital frequency formats. Awesome work and app. Will save anyone interested in SW tons of time to enjoy listening to your favorite stations rather than endlessly looking up schedules or randomly attempting to tune in a station at the right time on the right band and find the right frequency. Highly recommended :>
