Should I Answer?

This app works great when it works. It will not load and tells me that I must adjust something in the lock screen settings. The thing it tells me to adjust does not exist in my android 5 phone. It does work well though. Now I have a newer phone thete are no problems. Brilliant app does what it says on the tin.

This was recommended by a friend, to avoid all the interruptions due to calls from telemarketers Etc. I configured setup as recommended by the app, and selected the option for "block all calls not on my contact list". It just flat out didn't work. After some troubleshooting and reading, I find their website says there are compatibilty issues with Android versions 4, 5, and 6. I have 6 on my phone. So, while I wish the developers the very best, for me it just didn't do what I wanted to do. Uninstalling.

It's pretty great. It screens your calls and makes a recommendation on whether you should answer them based on the ratings of other users. If it's very negative, it'll just straight up block it. If it's unknown, mixed or only slightly negative, it'll give you the choice and then once you've taken the call (or not) you can rate it and, if necessary, block it. Saves e from wasting my time answering nonsense and nuisance calls.

Great app, works out of the box and requires a few permissions to work effectively. The upgraded version didn't work correctly on Android 8.0 on my Honor 9, so reverted back to this version. Simple interface that's reasonably easy to work with. The new version has a better interface and if that works on your phone, then I'd choose that.

Not a perfect app for blocking unwanted calls, but very close! I am receiving almost zero unwanted calls. The few that sneak through are usually the marketers that spoof a local number. Or ones that just name the state the call is supposedly coming from, like , "Hey, New York is calling me!" lol. I'd recommend anyone to give the app a try, to see if it's a good fit for your needs.

Pretty easy to use. I make sure I rate the calls and name them. Only issue I've had is getting to my call because I have to click off the notification which takes up most of the screen, but it's a minor irritation. I've tried several of these type apps and this has been the best. By far the least intrusive & no constant nag screens. Only had it about 3 weeks and not perfect but much better than most & free.

I like this app. it does trap many calls, although not all of them, which would be pretty much impossible. I wish there was a way to copy all the numbers I have in the phones block list. Every phone is a bit different though. A good set of instructions would be a plus. I do have a drawback in that my phone is very old and running slow. It's old, a Samsung Note 3. Running Android 5.1. I was getting 5 to 10 bad calls a day at a minimum. Now it's closer to none to maybe 2 and I always rate them.

This is a mean looking app and it does a nasty job. Good job. The more calls that I get the better this app works. Sometimes I have to delete a call from voicemail. Haven't had voicemail for about a month. Thans for the good work. I dont have a lot of calls coming in that needs blocking. Thanks again. You have blocked all numbers but one. It was able to go to voicemail. I have to check that one out when I get time. Calls are getting through and ringing.

First time I tried it I was disappointed to find I'd lost the "text to" button that used to be next to the "call" button. This makes texting someone back inconvenient if I cant call them at the moment. I really use that feature alot to let people know I'll call them back at a certain time. It looks like a great app though. I'll keep trying it and see if I'm just missing something.

Good app for its purpose. It will block previously marked numbers. If a new number calls you and it's a problem number, you can put that number on the list for their database. You can also do the same for a personal do-not-answer list that you keep privately instead of adding to their database. such as annoying personal contacts that would normally be a legit personal call. The problem comes from the fact that spammers and scammers get around the concept by constantly changing their numbers.

Who can resist an app with Chobotnice as its logo. They are super intelligent! I was looking for a replacement for other caller ID apps with ads and subscription models. This just doesn't work for me. I gave SIA a try, and am pleased. Tech support is very responsive and so is the app itself. You might want to download the newer version. I also purchased the gold donation package. Grammar in the instructions is good. Program seems solid and is updated regularly.

an excellent call screener that has saved me hours of answering telemarketers and worse. I love the feature that rejects any call that's not in my contacts list. Trying to reach me but don't know me well enough to be in contacts? too bad! call the office instead. runs in the background with minimal resources. great app guys, thanks! update: it's more than a year now and i can't fathom how much time and frustration this app had saved me. Makes owning a cell phone worth it again.

great app, saved my sanity. never call in for those scratch card contests, kids, it only takes one. I got 25 calls in one day once. surveys, life insurance, straight up scams. that's a thing of the past now. Just check the filters in the options to make sure you block what's necessary. And you can add your own personal blocks without having to upload them if you just want to save yourself some hassle but dont want to add the number to the blacklist for some reason.

tremendous help deciding what calls I should answer and whether it would be a waste of time or not. Only thing i can tell so far that i would like to see improvement on is if I'm doing something very important, weather I decline the call or not even if it's based off prior review I've given on that call from that number it still makes me back out of whatever I'm doing to clear it from my screen which can be extremely frustrating. Overall, from what I do know&understand, it's been useful.

Very smart app. It starts good and then it gets much better. Very low battery consumption. Like any other new amp and might feel annoying in the beginning but in no time it becomes a second nature. I believe that this app can do a lot and I'm sure it will evolve in the future. From my point of view it's a must have because all the robo and scam calls. Thank you

This thing is highly rated but I don't know why. It is not intuitive and it's wildly intrusive. When a call arrives it dominates the screen and continues after the call ends. The instructions are not written well. Maybe it's great and I'm just doing it wrong but the default should not be this level of intrusiveness. I'll play with it but if I can't change the way it operates then it's gone.

The icon constantly being there is kinda annoying, but the app says it needs to have that to improve it's functioning. Also it doesn't have the feature I was looking for: to block all out-of-state calls, or go by the area codes. But it's effective and still provides a lot of customization options.

Excellent tool to block unsolicited callers! With so many phone calling spoofers out there I went through several apps looking for one to block them. This one works. I have it set up to block all callers and aend them straight to voicemail if they're not in my contacts. If the call is important enough they'll leave a voicemail message. There are more options to play with but this is all I really needed. Excellent!

I honestly never care to take time to leave feedback. Even on good apps. I am so happy with this one. I get anywhere from 3 to 8 spam calls a day with my same area code. And of course I answered them wondering if it was my kids or something important. I 1st tried the one advertised on the news and it was horrible. One of the best app choices I have ever made right here.

I've been using this app for only a short time, but it has saved me some aggravation regarding phone numbers I don't recognize. More than once, though, the app has given wrong info regarding a phone number, labeling several calls as either "suspicious" or "telemarketer" when the numbers were coming from legitimate sources. I also don't like the constant "Rate Us!" reminders. They're obnoxious and annoying.

I did like this app at first, it seemed to stop Voip calls etc, but now I don't see it stopping anything ! I've had to download 2 more apps to block unwanted callers. I'm not going to let an app take over my contact list, text's, to stop numbers that call 5-6 times a day !! So, I'm un-installing this app. Another thing ,the adds that come up and block what I'm trying to do, my gosh, 3-4 adds to "X" off before I can get to the email, or phone call I'm trying to make !

I had 10 sales calls in one afternoon and looked for something to stop them. I found this app and installed it. I had one call and a second call. Both were blocked. Since then I have had NO CALLS AT ALL FROM IDIOT'S! Somehow this app tells them not to bother. No charges. No ads. Just relief. Thank you SIA. Brilliant! Continued great service. Still doing the job months on.

I do appreciate this app. My biggest issue is that it pops up on my screen for every call which is great if I'm not doing something on my phone but normally I am. When you exit off the screen it shuts down and interrupts. So if I want to just ignore a call and continue what I'm doing I cant. It still interferes! I'm not sure if its fixable or not but if it cld be fixed i would give it 5 starts and rave reviews! So for now its 4 3/4 ☆s for me.
