This is a great app with great movies, series. I would have given it 5 stars if, 1: it weren't for slight freezing during some newly released movies you're watching. The freezing is not long as it would only take a fraction of a second and you still watch the movie and enjoy it. it would be great if this could be fixed. 2: movies that are not from Hollywood and are foreign language movies are only English dubbed versions of them. I enjoy foreign movies subbed and audio must b original language.

When I want to watch next episode, app always crashes and I have to restart cast, and says "sorry something went wrong" at the end of each episode and very last part is unwatchable. I use Google Chromecast to watch on my TV. Would be great if app was available for download on Amazon (to use with Firestick) But overall great to be able to watch SA content.

Works perfectly on phone and on computer. However, problem comes in when casting a series on Google Chrome Cast. It fails to automatically jump on to the next episode. At the end of each episode, it shows an error "We're sorry, but something went wrong". Kindly check on this.

It doesn't have any of the good shows like the Stand and The handmaid's tale as shown in the pictures. Nor fifthly shades grey as shown in the pictures. The movies and shows that provide are nobody has heard of . There isn't even one good sci Fi movie! It's false advertising for sure! EDIT:The email of contact you have provided is false and it bounces back. I tried to send you an email with screenshot and proof that these shows are not on your app as you claim you are and the email is invalid

It's good, really the HBO/FX keeps me here always, I just hate that the downloads expire so quickly after watching them. I'm busy so sometimes I just watch 10 minutes and decide to finish the rest at a later date, then boom! Gone. I hate to compare but, I once downloaded a episode of Peaky Blinders on Netflix and watched it 3 weeks later, the episode stayed there for another month before I deleted, but I appreciate that and wish Showmax could just fix that.

The graphic, resolutions.. and movies, series are amazing...the app us very easy to use...and provides all facilities of choosing your ur movies or series of choice.. without forgetting sports channel, live streaming with 4k definitions...they are amazing, no adds at all. Very nice and interesting 👍...i suggest to subscribe whoever is reading without hesitation...u won't regret...

My experience with showmax has been incredible. It doesn't consume as much data as I thought it would and it is very affordable as well and it literally has everything that I need to watch plus I can watch a series or movie for a period of 2 days after I have watched it so it is very amazing

Worked fine for a while on my Hisense 4k UHD TV, but now its buffering and freezing with messages like "Waiting for Network" or "No data was received. Please try again later" I have a 50Mbps fibre line and Netflix and Youtube plays PERFECT. I recently came across a FB post on SHOWMAX FB page from 2019 where people were having this issue specific to HISENSE TVs and NOTHING has since been done between SHOWMAX and HISENSE to fix this. Why then should I keep SHOWMAX if they don't seem to care?

What is wrong with the app. It struggles to show any movies, series or program without buffering. It takes so long to watch something that they might as well include adds again. Really frustrating.

Showmax is a really great app from technology standpoint, and in its main duty as a content platform really has a great collection of series. Movies i believe will continue to grow. I have to mention the data Saving features that allows seemless streaming is incredible

This has to be the worst streaming service I have seen in a while, whether it's on phone or laptop, 50mbps or 100mbps, the quality even when set at the highest, is abysmal. The inconsistency when streaming live TV or on Demand is really the worst I have seen.

The application offers the most fantastic fabulous movies and tv shows I liked and loved them but I paid for my subscription fee via Google play store but my account remained locked, despite the effort of contacting the technical support non was able to help I ended up giving up.... And I will unsubscribe.

Yeah, the picture on picture is now available.. Thumbs up... The recent problem I just encountered since yesterday is that, anytime I tried to download any content, it keeps telling me that "Paused by User" I've tried to look into what could be causing it, but found nothing... Pls fix

Still can't watch sport on Xbox. Still can't stream from my phone to a TV. Still can't watch sports on a smart TV. The streaming also disconnects about 20 times trying to watch a football match which just isn't worth it. I have better streaming experiences internationally over a VPN so I can only assume you're using a potato and linked sausages as a streaming host and data line opposed to proper servers and internet lines. Unbelievably poor experience for the money you pay.

I have tried updating the app with the hope that the "resume" function would work but still it doesn't. Every time I have to go to the list of episodes and try to remember my last watched. Please fix this, don't be like DSTV NOW, which doesn't work at all these days. Edit: I have updated and still the same issue

Yea there are somethings i enjoy on the App,there are equally some i dont,that requires improvement,sometimes the connect frnd option just disappear so that im not anle to connect anyone,movies that u expect to see,arent even close to being seen,esp...recent ones.

My downloads keeps breaking and It's frustrating!!!😡😡. I have to redownload tv shows and movies several times because they get broken in less than 48hrs from the date videos are downloaded. Please, fix because im having a bad user experience. Thank you.

There is something very wrong with the app at the moment. Suddenly my watch list lost many of the movies I had on there and the continue watching list shows stuff that I finished 2 months ago and won't remove it from continue watching while what I am actually watching doesn't show on the continue watching list? What's going on??????

Good Service and Content,BUT.. 1. Showmax must scrap this thing of releasing an episode once a week(i.e Real Housewives of Durban) and rather release all episodes at once like Netflix does with its series🤷‍♂️ This thing of an episode once a week is so dated😫 it takes us back to Television in 1992. 2.Showmax app must be able to skip Intros and be able to go into the next episode even when one is Streaming through Chromecast. Come on🤦‍♂️❗

App is already downloaded. When I go watch it doesn't sign me in. Even after paying and confirming my subscription. What a bad experience I received on the Showmax App. No where to sign in. You being told to update and confirm your subscription on Google, when that is done they don't sign you in on the app. Am anoyed as it stands and quiet disappointed with this week 's experience. I have been using this app with no issues. All of a sudden things have changed to a very unfriendly process or way

It's frustrating when I have to hover my fingers over the screen while I'm watching, because you guys decided that it wasn't a GOOD idea to have a lock button when you're watching. My daughter watches her cartoons, then she accidentally presses the screen, skip some scenes and loses focus and understanding, sometimes exits and can't navigate her way back to the exact scene, please work on it, it's just a lock option, other than that you people are doing the Lord's work ❤

I don't like this app at all because you can't find all the movies you want to enjoy,which is very terrible and annoying,all these latest shows are dramas you can't find them here this app needs good update and all movies should be available..we are not paying for nothing here which is absolutely annoying

I love the fact that if you are running low on some data if not connected to wifi or you're far from home, you can still enjoy some of your faves with the 'Data saving' option which allows you to watch an episode or 2 with less mobile data. It's a huge plus to the app and that has made my experience that much more enjoyable. And that option should not be taken for granted as other apps don't have that option and just allows you to download using a lot of data unnecessarily.

Good variety, recent movies and series, streams easily. Sometimes difficult to navigate on other devices. Easy quick login for multiple devices and download great.

Simply loving it,its a great app would definitely recommend it to my friends,but i rather think there is still more content you can add to it because the latest movie section in it has mostly 2020 movies kinda outdated. OVERALL its an amazing app👍🏾

Only one complaint, a few builds back you had a split screen feature, which I still don't get why you got rid of? The picture in picture option isn't all that tbh. So please, return split screen support. You had it once, you can have it again. I know you can do it Showmax, I believe in you!!

Subscribed to showmax. Streaming is only 720p. Well for live football matches quality should be 1080p in best quality image and sound when watching your favorite team. If you could upgrade the streaming quality overall and if possible in 4k then it would be a great streaming experience.
