Constantly crashes. Why are you the only TV app left if the history of apps that has no introduction skip. No 10 or 15 second back and forward???? You all could take a SERIOUS LOOK AT AMAZON PRIME! BEST APP EVER!!!
Error message " No browser app found in this device. Please install a browser app & try again." Just recently I could watch anything saying I was logged out & that popup showed up. Also battery issues detected on the App. Nothing on the showtime websites can't help with this problem.. 🤦
I get Showtime through Xfinity. I have been trying to activate this app on my Samsung S8 tablet (Android 12) with no luck. When I try to input my Xfinity info directly into the app it says that no browser is installed (I have 3). I can input the account info from the web site but when it asks me to activate I have no code to input. It's nowhere to be seen. I've reinstalled the app and recreated my account with no success. Showtime support couldn't resolve the problem. The app is useless.
Need to reactivate constantly So annoying. Have to enter the code at least 4 times to get the service to work. There aren't any ads, that's the only good part.
Showtime anytime no longer let's me log in on phone or fire tv. Keeps giving me a new activation code over and over on firetv. On my android phone it tells me I have no browser app on my device. I have 4 browser apps on my phone. Just a waste of space now.
Error on the server when I select optimum is all I get for MONTHS and MONTHS! I've called my cable provider too and still nothing works. I'm paying for a service but can't even use it. This app is literally useless.
Good luck trying to use an Android Tablet with this thing. You simply don't get what you pay for. It logs you out and then it tells you that there's no browser attached so you can never log in. Don't bother installing on an Android tablet Trash.
Downloaded 3 episodes to watch on a flight and even though they were downloaded I kept gettig playback error. The worst.
Horrible user experience. Constantly have to reactivate, doesn't happen with any other apps.
FXXKING unreal!!! I am streaming from the top of my head! Why can't you just fix it so you can open an account with you pay with a debit card and I can start watching ShowsTime? Instead you want to connect to my cable network or and my phone network that absolutely have nothing to do with you guys. I have a contract with my cable company if I add you on then I have a contract with you I do not want to do that I want to be able to cancel at any time. FXXKING unreal!!!
Showtime Anytime is a super way to search for and see movies, new and older.
I find it near impossible to watch an episode of Dexter new blood on my TV or tablet. I have 30 day free trial with xfinity on showtime. I can't activate. I go around in circles. I would never consider subscribing to showtime. I have 3 tvs and can't use it. I've watched 7 episodes of DNB and can't see the rest. This is garbage. No trouble on Netflix or Prime Video. Showtime is out!
I'll add my voice to those complaining about the app erroring out midstream. I've had the app four days, and it's done it at least a dozen times. Exiting all the way out and going back in fixes it temporarily. Once in a while, fine; every time I watch a show, not cool at all. Seriously, how can a video app that can't reliably play a full episode even exist? Showtime, don't reply to this with your apologies. Just fix the thing.
The app logs you out about every other day (deletes anything you have downloaded), the user interface is terrible. The "my list" feature only works on a tv. The app only shows you a list of recently watched with no link to the show, you still have to navigate thru all the series and find the one you're watching. The video controls only allow you to pause and rewind. Full screen is not a thing. But you have no choice, this is the only way to watch if you subscribe thru your TV provider. Awesome.
This is the worst app I've ever used. I rarely watch anything on Showtime. I tried on both my Kindle and phone. The movie will play for at most 5 minutes, then say theres a playback error. I've tried downloading it and I get another error saying I cannot. I am canceling my subscription this week. I have never had this level of difficulty using an app, and to think I pay for this. Yuck
Constantly buffers & says to try again because of connectivity issues. No other streaming services do this with my TV/internet. It also keeps making me re-login/activate as if I don't pay enough money to not be kicked off & not recognized by showtime anytime. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED AT THIS JUNCTURE. HBO works fine & doesn't forget me or kick me off. I have been trying to watch Yellowjackets whilst typing this & it has played a total of 30seconds. LOVE THE SHOWS! So I will just use rip off sites.
This app is friggin' useless!! "Playback Interrupted An error has occurred during video playback. Please try again." << Getting this error message constantly. Can't watch anything without this error occurring every few minutes. Suckiest app of all time!! - "Watch SHOWTIME® whenever and wherever you want with SHOWTIME ANYTIME®" is a joke!! Pathetic!! Come on, man, it's 2022!! Get it together!! Please!!
The app is extremely frustrating to use on a Roku TV (and others from the looks of the reviews) because you have to reactivate practically every day. It's a huge pain, and it makes no sense that this level of "security" is needed to watch TV. Also, the "4k" looks subpar.
Pretty sure this is the worst app on the market for TV. Logs you out everytime. Then when you log in it works sometimes then doesn't amd says no browser app detected even though it just worked last time and nothing changed. So hit or miss its frustrating. I am one who cut cable and have zero issues with any other streaming service connectivity and I run almost all.
This app is the most horrible streaming app I have found. It is NOT user friendly. I don't know where to start this app is so bad. How about someone in development check out Netflix... it doesn't save the shows your are watching except on my list which isn't in plain sight. Once you get there you can see what you've watched but I can't find a way to watch the next episode. I have to do a search find the program and remeber what episode I had watched because the app doesn't designate. Horrible
Stupid app has an option of whether or not you want to use your cellular data plan to download movies to store on your device to watch later. Great that is awesome I was so happy about it. But... In order for it to allow you to download movies through your Cellular Connection you have to go into settings and toggle the switch to " Allow downloading over a Cellular Connection". Okay fine. But then after I did that it's still won't complete a download and it keeps getting interrupted and then it will say quote "There is no Wi-Fi" as if to explain why the download has stopped. So even though I called it to allow downloading over Wi-Fi or cellular it still won't let me do it and in fact it will start to download but then it has a brain fart and stops doing it and then gives you this explanation that there's no Wi-Fi! Good job guys! As if you don't have enough money to get a decent app developer to make your app run right. Way too buggy! 1 star is the most generous review.
Worked for a while, then logged me out. It sends me to the page to authenticate, I enter my info and it just gives me a popup message that says "needs to authenticate". They need to fix their buggy provider integrations. Update: It started working again a few days later. Other than the rare authentication hiccups, the app works very nicely. It has a slick UI, high quality video, and supports the features I want such as casting and offline viewing.
I can't sign in. Same issue as others. I click log in, then Spectrum, and it just goes back to the page I was viewing. I've tried it from different pages, while trying to start a video, etc., and always the same result. I am never presented with a form to sign into my provider. Customer service cannot help given this is a bug in the app. Useless to me.
I enjoy Showtime as they have really good series however, with that being said I wish they would update their movie selection more often and with better titles. I good mix of older 80s to 90s with more modern. I also hate that I have to constantly "activate" my tv when wanting to watch something. Showtime is the only subscription service I have to do that for; you put the code in once and your good on the others.
The app will not open on my phone just blacks out and closes. On the TV signing in is impossible. The account constantly deactivates. It become impossible to reactivate because it sends you in a loop. It asks you to input code and brings you back to the main screen to enter new code. Essentially tou need to start over just to get it to reconnect in phone app or TV. It disconnects so often that I give up because reconnecting takes you into a continuous loops of reactivation but never signs in.
