Not a great user base and terrible choice of ads. App doesn't appear to be as active as users takes days if not weeks to respond. Also the choice of apps immediately makes me need to close out. When I'm scrolling all of a sudden LOUD music plays from an ad I can not see. Changing pages doesn't effect the music either. Doesn't stop when I minimise the app either, I need to fully close it losing my place. Not great when in public and all of a sudden really loud music plays.
In general it's a decent place to get hold of stuff,but the search engine is astonishingly bad - almost laughably so. In fact I've never seen a worse one anywhere,ever. No matter what you do it's overly difficult to narrow searches and avoid the frustration of completely irrelevant results. I wish whoever is responsible for this shoddy effort takes a look at the way other sites do it. Also, why is the number of allowed alerts/saved searches so ridiculously small? No competitor has this problem.
Disappointed with new updates The app used to be safe for 2nd hand items. Now, the UI is inconsistent, leading to a terrible experience for something as simple as DMs, cancelling deals or even purchasing items. I accepted an offer for an item and since then had no way to pay the seller. Apparently, the Shpock Wallet is only integrated when purchasing full price via BUY NOW. Anything other than that, be at your own risk at getting scammed via bank transfers etc. Doesn't feel safe anymore.
Very disappointed with the service I've received from shpock customer service team and the app itself. I feel scammed. I paid a £9.99 monthly subscription to rip the benefits of a premium service however I haven't been able to as the app keeps crushing. I complained to the team to fix the issue, however, when I asked for a refund I've been ignored ever since. It's been over 7days and no response. Absolutely rubbish.
Edited since previous review. Now 1 star. 01/05/22. Now constantly getting alerts for items that do not exist!!! Possibly the most useless buying/selling App ever created. Shpock, it's clear you couldn't care less! FIX IT!!!! Search function no longer works at all since update. But even before that, searching brought up loads of completely unrelated items. Had some bargains using it over the years, but now the App is just so frustrating I just can't be bothered with it anymore. Shame.....
Still no sales, I've lived in hope for the last year that Shpock would go back to the good old local carboot app I used to rate 5 * From selling something daily to now something once a month if lucky. Edit update I've gone up a star. First reason quick removal of false review. And second there is now a collection only option without messing with distance bar. Edit 2 I can now sort my own adverts at the bottom of my list without bouncing back to top everything I open an advert to delist/update👍
I'm trying to cancel premium on my sphock account just before the trial run out and it won't let me cancel. Seems to be a glitch with the app keeps bouncing off now I'm stuck with a bill on a system I don't want to use. Everyone I contact keeps referring me to someone else 🙄
Gone very down hill as of late. Offers are being sent but in some new UI looking messaging system which doesn't seem to work half the time. Yet some offers come through like they used to and it's been no problem. What is going on?
Installed as I was curious and I think I got scammed on my first buy. The app isn't very smooth, search seems a bit basic. I was astonished with the payment protection cost. I made a purchase a week ago and not even a single message or postage from the seller. I better avoid in the future. I can't recommend I will stick with gumtree and eBay.
Update: It's exactly the same but only worse. They still spam messages desperately wanting us to use the app. The app still tries to put in promotions/ads in the notifications and never separates actual notification. They still don't want to separate promotion notification and actual notification that Android allows. Absolute garbage tactic. I've already mentioned that eBay does this!
Brilliant app! Useful when you need quality items at affordable prices! I just bought a a bunch of items for a kitten I am picking up soon. I was so pleased with the condition. Practically brand new! I got a few other items for free too!
Needs work to be as good as others! The watch facility doesn't seem to exist in my app, once I've added items I can't get back to them again. The fees are a bit ridiculous too. Just bought an item for £8 and the fee was £3.24! Luckily this item was worth it, but the fees will definitely put me off buying more items.
The app is rubbish, can not see anything listed for sale! A totally blank squares It's pointless messaging Shpock because it's takes months for any reply that if it they do read anything. What's the odds this will go unread by them I have uninstalled the app and looked for updates
App is unusable for me, everytime I try, it freezes my phone and I have to reboot so I never get past looking at about 10 items before the issue starts
Rubbish. If your a retailer don't bother paying these lot! You pays £££ to advertise keep customers and reviews but these lot let hundreds of non paying customers to keep advertise. Totally unfair that we pay while loads sell for free. Also they now have a stupid shopke paying system where customers pay them and they then pay you. 🙄
Joke of an app, keeps crashing when I try to upload photos to ads....essentially preventing literally the 1 of the 2 features this app van do which is selling! If you want to see what a real app is just look at the Vinted app, that's a proper app!
Can't choose a delivery option. Can't choose delivery cost. Delivery options/prices etc hasn't been updated since April 2021. There IS no Hermes anymore, it's now Evri. Looks more like this app has closed down
Can't post from USA? Everything I try to do something I get an error saying this feature is not available in country(US) or you can't post from country(US). What is going on guys?

Love the app they give me the best free stuff just because I'm a great seller and great buyer and I promote their business.... U can get free stuff too just promote their business and sell sell sell and buy buy buy ... They scratch your back you scratch theirs ... Loyalty and love makes the world go round..... I love China and love to be proudly doing business with them...
Still a disappointment. Still jam packed with posts which aren't available, some are literally years old. Yes it's laziness from seller, but I'd have expected shpock to have recognised and taken steps to prevent this (like many market places have done). But I gues they are happy just being average and being overtaken by all other markets.
Just got scammed on this app the other day. Been on this for many years and disappointed in you guys. You should make a system where the seller can't take the listing down until its been delivered and the buyer has confirmed they have the item.
Something is off.. I use the app for a good while but now I think there's a glitch and I can't list anything. I add the pictures, select category and delivery option and when I choose the delivery type it deletes the pictures I loaded and the category. All this, over and over again. Developers, possible to have a look to see what is happening?
This is not a app to sell your items on its a app to waste your time messaging people who can't be bothered to message you back. If people really want to sell their items there will message back but no matter how many people I contact on here no one answers. Don't waste your time with this app
I use this app all the time for vintage kicks ...1:1 reps .... Vintage tracksuits ....every thing possible.... Its straight out awesome .... As good as vinted without doubt
Over all great selling/buying app, however new update with the ads is horrible, you could be scrolling through shpock only then to hear loud songs or ads playing out of nowhere!
Great way to sell old stuff, however doesn't let you add links in description of items. Very annoying if you want to link to specs of a Laptop. Edit: The most annoying part is it lets you paste them in, you can press save. But it'll auto delete it from your post without warning.
Emailed Shpock customer service to ask why there is a £3 buyer protection fee to buy a £1 item and was told that it is my choice to either buy the item and pay the fee or purchase it elswhere. Fair enough I'll delete Shpock and use an alternative platform. Shame really, this app could have brought some much needed competition to the UK market...
Great app to sell and buy used / new things. Used by many people of all ages which makes it very easy to find a buyer / seller for various things with different needs
Has gone downhill. Constantly spamming you with notifications to pay to get more visibility. These notifications cannot be disabled, and if you're selling a small item for less than the premium price, they will still spam you anyway, which makes no sense. They will still spam you about items even if you've delisted them and marked as no longer available. Have attempted to sell a dozen items in the past six months, not a single offer - installed eBay instead, they all sold within days.
