Was 5 stars except only issue is if you go into an album and sort the songs and click ascending it glitches and you can never change it back (unclick it) from the reverse order without uninstalling the app and re installing. Had this issue twice as I forgot to avoid clicking it again. Excellent music app. Random shuffle won't play the same songs twice. Well worth paying for Pro version. So many customisation settings. You can't ask for more.

Dear Developer, If you don't intend to update the app anymore, please don't make it look like it's free. I appreciate your work put behind it. But In my Samsung phone, The notification dialogue that shows now playing multiplies sometimes and doesn't go away if I swipe, also makes an alert sound each time I resume the music after pausing. I've also experienced some crashes while sorting songs in the playlists. Just kindly have a look at those bugs if you have some free time. That's all.

I have been using this player for many years, mainly due to its support for gapless playback and its folder view, and I was very happy with it. Unfortunately, folder view has stopped working on Android 11. This is due to a controversial decision by Google to prohibit raw directory access to all apps for "security reasons". Unfortunately, this means that Shuttle+ has to be updated to make the folder view work again. I reported the issue almost 3 months ago but have not received a response - the player doesn't seem to be actively maintained at the moment. Because folder view is an essential feature for me, I will unfortunately have to drop Shuttle+ and look for other players that work on Android 11.

Generally like this music player, and have used it for a few years. However, after updating to Android 10 I lost all my playlists in the playlist section. I can still add songs to them, but not actually play the lists. Also, shuttle basically doesn't ever start up again where it left off playing last time. I have to manually open the app and start playing, but it will usually forget what songs were in my list and I have to start over again.

I went pro for the 'folders' feature, which is really the only way to use the app. I've found that the app will play some albums in orders other than by file name or title from the tag. I have asked for help and had no responses. Some albums I've completely re-named and re-tagged, but still I can't get them to play in correct order unless I make a playlist and manually reorder them.

Omfg stop making useless minor UI changes and actually fix something. Every single update brings more and more bugs and hardly any features. One thing that would be a step in the right direction would be to differentiate between 'artist' and 'album artist'. Apart these pretty big issues I remain loyal and I'm still convinced it's the best MP3 player on the play store.

Bought to stream one album of MP3s via Chromecast. Player showed multiple copies of every song, and refused to stream more than one song at a time. I found a FAQ from the developer on clearing out the multiple entries, but it didn't work. Updated 5/22/19 in response to developer comments. The player wouldn't stream more than one song in a row. The first one on the playlist would work, and then...nothing. Pick a different song. It would play, and then...nothing.

This player WAS the best... then I upgraded my phone to a Samsung S9+ only to find out there is a legit issue with creating and adding songs to playlists. Doesn't work. I have cleared data/cache and reinstalled the app. Nothing works. The latest update claimed to fix the issue but it doesn't appear so. Please figure out how to fix this so I don't have to use another music player. I much prefer Shuttle + but this issue is driving me bonkers.

Used to be my favourite music app, but there's a lot of issues that I've noticed recently. 1: the ability to exclude stuff is absolutely broken. Just let us exclude FOLDERS, not individual songs ffs. I have a ton of non music bs in my library 'cuz of that, and the app refuses to actually exclude it. 2: the "next up" playlist keeps breaking every other second. 3: the app keeps crashing randomly. There's more, but I can't be arsed to remember it all. Pls keep working on it.

Am completely unable to add songs to playlists, albums randomly get separated into two, and some albums just don't show up full stop. This app used to work perfectly, what happened?! Edit: Also the app will just randomly ignore what I was listening to, and play a completely different song instead - also erasing the music I had queued up. The latest update apparently fixed it, but no. It did not.

I used this for a while, I like the design and UI, it makes a lot more sense than some music players out there. However, when I compared shuttle to other players, it just sounds terrible. The EQ doesn't do much to save the sound either. So at the end of the day, great for most people for general listening, not so great for audiophiles.

I use Shuttle because it's one of very few Android music players that will organize the library by the album artist tag which is critical for me. I wish it was better at actually playing music. Playback is very glitchy, especially when connected to Bluetooth devices, and sometimes it won't play at all.

Overall, Shuttle+ does most of the things a music player app should do, but several things have bugged me enough to begin to dislike using it now. My complaints are as follows: - Shuttle is consistently inconsistent with Album splitting (splitting albums when Album Artist is the same value but Artist is not), but only for a few albums (which does not happen to the library which is synced with an iTunes library). I've gone in an adjusted the media tags on the files manually but the issue stands. - Lack of customization options (EQ, View options). - Widget always defaults to shuffling the entire library as opposed to continuing its last queued list. - Playlists created in Shuttle disappear periodically. Overall, there are currently too many inconveniences to justify using this app over its alternatives now that Poweramp updated its UI. (And because my Bluetooth headphones that had its media controls stop working now stopped charging, defeating the point of switching from Poweramp.) :/ (Review based on daily usage of Shuttle+ from 2018-01 to 2018-10.)

Bluetooth control issues still present since Android 9. Workaround solution is to use the app controls on phone; would really like to see this issue fixed so I can drive while listening to music safely. I don't have this issue with other music streaming apps, but then I also hate streaming and would rather play music stored on my phone. Otherwise great music player!

Before it was my favorite music player, that's why I bought the full version, but now I have lots of issues with it. When I'm listening random songs it seems to set the volume down with headset and I have to pause and resume to reset it. Also, the custom colors never get saved, everytime I set it to material pink and when I get back to the player it has a new random color palette. My device is a Moto X Ghost with Android 5.1.

Aside from new bugs that keep coming with new versions, Regressions are a problem with this player. The bug that adds the whole music library when adding a folder to the que is back and is anoying as hell. Aftre using it for probably more than years it feels like QA is skipped but very needed. Regressions like this are a deal braker and finally made me leave it after so long!

Two years after I originally reviewed this player, there have still been little to no changes, the now playing screen still looks boring and plain, and the lyrics display is STILL in an awful popup, as opposed to its original place over the album cover. Used to be really good. Now, not so much.

Last time I used this back in 2015, it was the best music player out there but in 2021, its worst. Never reads audio files or folders on device & if you somehow succeed by repeating, bugs while playing kills it all. Same with S2. If you play a song that has white color art, then whole app becomes that despite dark theme enabled across. Equalizer doesn't work & no in-built relies on system which is useless. I request dev to see jetaudio, pulsar, nyx, ymusic, retro & Spotify for better reference.

This music player is a near perfect copy of Google Play Music. It works well and looks great. I was very unimpressed with Google after they discontinued Google Play Music. Thankfully this player is looking to be a great substitute. Thank you so much developers.
