Manager Features: Managers can gain free admin status on Shyft to have more control of their store. Admins can enable shift swap approvals, have special posting privileges, see read receipts on posts, have the ability to remove old users, and have the ability to curate content and posts at their location. Click the “I Am A Manager Button” inside the app ;-)
Schedule Access & Posting: Snap a quick photo of the weekly schedule with our high-resolution tool, and send it as a push notification instantly to your team. The team will receive a notification that takes them to a high-resolution image of that schedule. Team members can set schedules to their default schedule.
Private Groups: Have different departments? Front of house & back of house? Create customized feeds/channels for different employee groups within your location to swap shifts or to better organize your team & co-workers.
Store Newsfeed: Post pics, give shoutouts, send links, and share jokes pics with your team on a private feed for your store.
Chat and Group Chat

The app constantly kicks me offline. The shear amount of time i have to try to log back in using the pin code cause the password function never works. Its frustrating. When it works its fine. But it rarely works right for me.
This app is so difficult to navagate. Also, whenever I try to log in it just keeps taking me back to the login page unless I completely close it and open it back up. Really it would be better if they scrapped it and started over.
While still sometimes helpful, the new version of the app is glitchy. And my schedule hasn't loaded at all, even tho it is live. So, it now has gone from glitchy to down-right dangerous. If I failed to show for one of my shifts I would be fired.
3.0 is terrible. The interface has completely changed and is incomprehensible. The calendar is now needlessly complicated and the app is completely devoid of the cute little charms it had before in 2.0. Not only that, but I'm getting a brand new bug where it keeps redirecting me back to the login page. I'm stuck using this garbage for work. Do not get it.
Doesn't allow you to view posted shifts anymore. It only sends you notifications of them once and that's it. The old layout was much better.
When it's working, the app is great! ❣️ I've been able to get shifts that open up and cover for colleagues. We can also trade messages and warnings for traffic, parking, etc. Unfortunately, sometimes my app is glitchy and doesn't send notifications promptly, so I miss opportunities because someone else gets there first. I have to close the app and reopen to get the latest information rather than leave it open in the background while waiting for someone to post.
It is tremendously helpful to have one flexible but closed network for communicating and schedule alterations while not on site for our shift work. It is also frustrating that some of us, especially Android users, have to reinstall to catch shifts, or even post them, sometimes. Filters, handy while functioning properly, also seem to have a mind of their own; I can't even change who may see my schedule, nor see my own pick up shift requests.
App suddenly has stopped showing me shifts if I unclick the expired button in filters for shifts. I have to have it clicked and then it shows me shifts all the way back from July and I have to scroll to the current date, can't even select the current date, or any date for that matter. Super annoying to have to see all the shifts that have been taken and cancelled and really hard to keep tract of everything. Also having trouble posting shifts. The app is just not really working at all.
The app will work great for a while, but suddenly will stop sending notifications. I checked my settings and everything indicates that I should be receiving notifications. The only way to resolve this issue (that i have found works) is to uninstall and reinstall the app. After that, it will worknfine again. This is the second time it has happened.
The update has made it difficult to login so annoying.
I feel like managers should be able to input people's schedules into the group calendar, rather than expecting staff to so it themselves. I also wish the messaging functioned more like a chat, with read messages and typing indicators like Messenger. Other than that, it seems like a genuinely useful app. We'll see how well it works going forward.
This update is not good at all. Does not keep filters when you select. Unable to post that you want to pick up shifts. Like the old version much better. Please explain where the function went to post you want to pick up shifts and to get filters to stay in place.
*What happened to the option to "Deny & repost" or just "repost" the shift on a manager's account? *Where is the option to post that you're available? *I miss messages because there isn't really a visual indication of a new message when in the app. *what happened to groups & direct messages being on different tabs? Everything streamlined is absolute chaos. *I gave 5 stars before but this is not user-friendly AT ALL anymore & I truly gave it a chance.
Makes covering shifts at work very easy. Along with an instant messaging option between you and your team of coworkers, managers can also communicate memos, announcements, etc. with employees. One thing i dint like is that you have to sign in every time you use the app, which is annoying.
Per my Manager and Assistant Manager I signed up for this believing that when put on the schedule I'd be notified. I see on 15 Feb it showed my shift from 5-8PM which was a total shock as I was never notified and notifications on app and phone were on. I've since uninstalled and re-installed. It looks to be an app to enter our own schedules in. Why? That seems useless and just another app to take up space on ones phone which I do not need. EDIT Ive replied numerous times & no answers.
Before update it was cute, functional. Now: complicated and tries too hard to be "hip"... we have the app because we have to, you aren't retaining us after we leave this job. Rn its forcing me to change a password I just updated last month, glitching and refreshing without accepting any of my tries.... yeah, great move guys 🙄
Add to Calendar option please.
I weekly schedule doesn't always show but otherwise it helps a lot. Getting someone to take my shift and for me and to add an extra shift is very easy. I don't have to have my staff members phone numbers to communicate. Great app!
The new layout is dumb and not as easy to use. Who did they think could se the tiny dot they put under the days to quickly see when they have a shift. I also hate the new schedule layout. It's like apple's up next on their calendar and I think that's the most annoying and not user friendly design. In summary I hate this new update. If your gonna change things at least give me the option to how I want things to work and not frustrate me ever time I try to use the new app.
Although I posted a negative review of the app 40 minutes ago, the developers and support team were immediate in responding and resolving the technical issues. I have appreciated the functionality and convenience of this app, as well as the great support team that works on it. Thank you for all you do!
The newest update is atrocious. It showed that I had no shifts for the next few days so imagine my surprise when a coworker called to ask where I was. It was showing the shifts available to be picked up so I had no reason to think it was malfunctioning. I had to uninstall and reinstall to get it to show my schedule properly.
Worked fine until the Oct 14, 2019 update. Now almost every time I open it, I'm logged in, but not connected to my store, and can't see anything going on within the app. Meaning I can't cover shifts or view my schedule. PLEASE FIX IT!
great easy app that allows coworkers to swap shifts and/or get shifts covered. An inbox is also a valuable tool among coworkers to sort out any details of shift swaps or to update the team as a group. what more can we ask for?! Also, I havent posted a picture but its nice to see my coworkers dressed up in their own little profile pictures as we are retail workers and sort of dont wear much make up or super swag as its restricted in dress policy lol. great app overall!!
The newest version is actually the worst. It isn't user friendly and has alot of bugs. Having to get verification codes everytime you try to log in is annoying and you have to filter through all your own shifts to look for ones that employees are posting, being an admin that is annoying.
I'm so frustrated with this app. I have to use it for my work. But I get important notifications so late. I tried to uninstall & reinstall it. But the issue remains the same.
