I have had this app for 5-6 years. Loved it! then updates came out recently and I can't use the app any more. I just get a download screen that says the progress is 0Mb/0Mb. *update* I tried clearing the cache and files multiple times, it did not fix the issue. finally I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it and it is working again (lost my list again though).
It was a great app when I bought it 3 years ago. Then, after one of the updates, the bird icons appeared blurry, it bothered me a little, but the app was still usable. A few weeks ago, I did a factory reset to my phone, when I tried to reinstall Sibley, the play store showed it as "This item is not available" and there is no installation button. I have been checking every day, but the problem hasn't been fixed. Edit: Support told me to look for it on my account history, but there is no installation button to be clicked.
"Download validation failed"... I bought a new phone and have been trying to reinstall this once great field guide app. No longer functional. Clearly these jerks are trying to force us to shell out another twenty bucks for their new version. Why not offer a discount for those who had the original? I'm not buying the new one at full price, full stop.
I loved this app. Used it all the time. But my phone crashed and now it won't download properly. The icon is there but when it opens it is just a blank screen with a download status line that goes nowhere and a pause button that does nothing.
Excellent app. I don't understand you people who say it has become outdated in the review. It's not as if there are all of a sudden new species of birds showing up. The bird sounds is a good plus. I just wish there was some way to keep your bird log when you move to a new phone.
I had to do a factory reset of my phone. When I went to re-install myapps from Google Play, this one says it's no longer available. Apparently, they made a new edition, so it doesn't matter that you bought the older version.
I have this app that i purchased some years ago. Got a new phone. I should be able to install the old app. But i can't. Had paid 20$ for it. Don't want to pay another 20$. How can i install the old app on my new phone without any issues? If this is a ploy to force people to shell out another 20$ for a new version than it is not fair business practice.
App works great offline and has a ton of features. I'd suggest an auto backup feature for your bird list. It does have manual backup functionality though.
This app requests too many permissions. Mandatory GPS on all the time, make and manage phone calls? Why?!! I contacted them and they offered no help. It also takes up HUNDREDS of megs. DON'T BUY THIS APP!!!! YOU WILL BE SORRY!!!!!
The latest download renders the app unusable. It gets stuck on the download screen. Paid $20, definitely not worth it! Contacted Sibley, no response.
Has to redownload the app due to a phone reset, the app downloads but the assets will not when I open the app. Now I find that the app has a second version and I need to pay another $25 just to get the app again. Completely ridiculous since I already purchased this. I will not be getting the app again.
Had some trouble getting it download but eventually got the help I needed. Like some of the features but have some difficulties navigating around .
I purchased this app 3 years ago. It stopped working about a year ago. I assumed it was because of lack of space. I just re-installed it & it is still not working.
I bough this app because of the compare function but with the new UI that option appears to have disappeared and the Help text does not match new views
can't install from Play Store purchase history. The app didn't transfer over to my new phone, and I'm unable to download it; the app never loads properly

This is my go to birding app. it has the information and drawings from the book with the convenience of an app.
I used to love it. But it's been outclassed by the Audubon app. I'd remove it except that it cost me money.
how do I get previous version back? Smart search doesn't work! "go" button responds with a return!
Update process is disgraceful. App makes a demand for far too much space.

I have it installed on phone, and it is very useful. Works for me. However, I just bought a new phone and I can't install it. I keep getting an error message to try again later. It never works. I feel like if I've bought it I should always have it, just like my Sibley Field Guide. I paid almost $20 for it and can't put it on new phone. In answer to vendor: Yes, signed in with google on my laptop. The app shows as installed on old phone, so I have the right account. I was finally able to install it by sending myself an email from my laptop with a link to the page. I opened the email on my phone and clicked the link that took me to the app page, and then I could install it. It is not possible to find the app by searching the play store even though I entered the exact name of the app. I had to use google browser search to find the page.
