I wonder why this app has not been integrated with the Android and ios. Amazing concept. Thank you very much! !!
It simplifies all the work i got to do, it really is a very good tool
I love this app it is the best. But how come the pro feature is gone?
I've gone through so many side launchers, but this is the one I always come back to. A bit more resource-intensive than some others, but the recent apps feature has remained functional when most other apps have broken by now. Animations are really nice as well, fluid and elegant. Good app.
Really like the functionality and the ability to customize. But one star deducted because shortcuts aren't working properly, specifically Greenify. If I assign either the Hibernate Now or Hibernate and Lock shortcuts, Side Control just launches the Greenify app, NOT the shortcut. And running these Greenify shortcuts was actually the main reason I installed Side Control, ironically.
This app does serve it's purpose and does it fairly well, however, it's graphics are painfully slow and I've found no way to change that so far. Delays everywhwre. A few features that I've seen work with other apps but not other this one (on my note 5) are back button and notification pull down. I've seen several apps have issues with the notification shade but lots of apps have the back button working. Add those features and speed it up and it's 5 stars.
missing recent management.. would be great if it has an option to sync with default system recent, what's cleared should not be shown in sidecontrol's recent. or with another option to show only running apps, exclude system apps etc. i have my display set as immersive so i could notice a gap at the top of the panel.. hope the next version will resolve this..would love to replace the default system recent with this!
Makes switching apps quicker since it eliminates the need to go to home screen first. Those precious seconds add up. In many cases, a particular app which you think you used just a minute ago has gone to fourth or fifth place in the recent apps screen so annoying to find that way. With side control, you'll always have a few choice apps at the ready.
Extremely customizable. I've bought and used practically every other sidebar and/or floating launcher available, wasting lots of time and money in the process. Should have started and ended here. No perceivable options missing, and intuitive, just like his other app, Floatify. Can't praise this dev enough.
Very spiffy app. I have tried multiple sidebars and app launch helpers, but this one definitely takes the cake. It is very minimal, sitting there on the side barely noticeable, but it packs a lot into it. Different gestures when you touch it can open different lists or do actions. Nice on the eyes. Decent customization for the UI - if there is anything they could do to improve it, this is the only area I can see being improved upon.
Hi sir, I am using Oppo f1s with Android 6. I can't set this app to Whitelist. It's app not appear in recent apps list or taskbar menu option. When I am clearing all task bar list then this app disabled automatically. So if I able to see this in recent apps list I can add to whitelist or trusted app list... Please fix this.. Sorry for my English.. I hope you that understand my issue
It has been more than 18 months that I'm using this app. I changed from Samsung galaxy grand to Google Nexus 5 but i couldn't be without this app.. I've tried almost every side bar app on the market n can safely say that this is the best amongst all!
Fantastic app. It's like a 2, 3, or even 4 for the price of 1 app. Many I've tried, and while they work well, there's always something that seems to be left out. This app covers everything. Best part is you can adjust the settings so that the app column, pops up from the CENTER of the screen. Which allows the icons to be very easily reached from either side of the device. The height adjustment is also convenient for use with larger devices e.g Galaxy Note's or tablets.
Notifacation bar, quick settings and data toggle will no longer work. Worked perfectly prior lollipop. Galaxy S5
Update: This is for the paid pro version it's nearly a year later and it's worse than ever. Developer has either abandoned the software or he can't fixit. Was fantastic but now the apps don't populate on the sidebars they're just blank when slid out. This is on S4 running lollipop. Contacted the coder but he's too busy to help with individual problems. Had to delete sidecontrol and install sidebar instead which works well
I've just spent the past 2 days trying every swipe launcher out there-no lie. I can officially say Side Control is the very BEST one. The options border on overwhelming there's so many. I had a heck of a time figuring out how to make my #1 favorites bar show. You go into Gestures then down to Right Touch area and assign a gesture to it (I assigned 'short slide'). Hope that helps someone 😁. I gladly gave them my $2-extremely well done app. Thanks!
Potentially a 5 stars app. Unfortunately already buggy in this free (trial) version. The long slide gesture doesn't work (please fix), the shape of the activation buttons have changed without having changed any setting about them, it interfere with my eye filter disabling it from time to time, randomly. You'll be happy to pay for the pro version if those bugs will be fixed. (galaxy note 3, lollipop).
Nice, nice. Very innovative stuff. But it's a little derpy when it comes to adjusting it in the settings. Also it should save the changes you make to the length and sensitivity (it seems to reset the next time it's launched)...
Disabling touch areas in selected apps doesn't work on Samsung Galaxy S5 Taken money but no support. Blacklist does not work on lollipop.
A must have. So convenient: everything just one gesture away. EDIT: Bug Report: Isn't displaying Smoke & Glass Icon Pack properly. All of the 'template' generated icons are totally garbled when displayed.
I love that you can customise the gestures to replace system functions and the home button. ialso like that it has optimised my app switching.
I've been using another quick launcher for years and then I discovered this app. I think I'm sticking with this one.
You cannot revoke admin rights once you provide the same to this app. Do not install this app. Its a pain to uninstall it when you will try to revoke admin rights and settings will keep crashing on you
It's really good & useful. The only thing missing from this app is the ability to group app shortcuts into folders within the sidebar. Add that ability & I'll give you a 5 star rating....keep up the good work, devs.
Nice app. I liked beaing able to customize how the side-bar looks & being able to control its speed. Didn't give 5 stars bcoz of the annoying notification. Other than that, it's good.
Edit: In my original review, I COMPLETELY lied. Relax. Was not on purpose. The requirement was that the notification had to be on. I did not realize that and had it turned off. Reviewed this prematurely and began shopping for a new one. I regret shopping for a new one. It was a huge waste of time since THIS is the one that I wanted. I uninstalled and tried again. It worked. Tested a few things here and there. Going step by step slowly to get everything how I wanted it. Turned off the notification. It failed to work. So. Yeah. This was my experience with this app. I "hid" the notification and it is working flawlessly. It is exactly what i was looking for. Original: I seem to be unable to get tasks to start from menu. Instead of running the task from the task shortcut, it is opening Tasker. Tried direct message with AutoRemote as a workaround but, it just opened the AutoRemote App. No message sent. This was primary goal for this sidebar menu so, I would give a single star; however, the app itself is simple, pretty, and reliable so, I will give three stars instead. Thank you for your hard work on this but, please consider improving Tasker support. Much appreciated!
This is my first ever & still favourite of all side bars, shortcuts, drawers: now I have many but I still love this best if all. It's like a pair of old slippers to me but even aside of my familiarity bias, I do think it's pretty perfectly designed functionally and aesthetically.
