SidelineSwap: Buy and Sell Sports Equipment

Have only made 2 purchases thus far but the process has been very easy and painless! Both items arrived as expected and in a timely manner! Definitely recommend this app if you're looking to save money on sports equipment!

This is a great app for sporting goods. Buying is a snap. The search feature and filters are super easy to work with. It's a super simple interface both on the web and on the app. Selling is also equally easy. Everything seems really well thought out. I am pretty impressed. This is my go-to, first choice when shopping for hockey gear now.

Navigating individual listings is quite cumbersome. When going back from a listing to the list of items, the app does not remember your place in the feed, forcing you to scroll all the way down again. There also needs to be a way to send photos directly through the built-in messaging platform. Currently, you can't send photos, forcing users to use extral methods, which goes against SidelineSwap recomendations of keeping all commications on the platform. Using a Pixel 4a, running android 12.

Love sideline swap but I find myself having to use it in a browser when searching for specific items. The application does not allow for as specific of criteria as the browser version when searching for things like specific skate sizes, stick handedness, flex, and blade pattern. For the things I buy, the application is almost useless. I only use it to manage purchases that I made previously through a browser.

Ability to block a seller would be a great asset to the app. I have had to deal with more douche canoes on the site that attempt to over inflate prices on a daily basis. Latest issues have been seeing extremely outrageous prices for USED goalie gear... doesn't matter if it was used once or 20 times... stop letting people post goalie gear at just under retail prices. Example is a used set of True goalie gear for 3k... I can buy a brand new set for $2,800 plus shipping.

Really love this app ive made over $300 in under a year so far and i dont like complaining publicly but in my opinion there should be a bigger consequence a shipper does not ship the item out in time than an auto post that says they didnt ship it. Also the wait time before sidelineswap cancels the order.Not only do i not get to write my own reveiw i have to wait 3 weeks just to get my money back to process into my bank account.Please change the wait time down to 10 days or let me write a reveiw

The app is great to browse with a few kinks. You'll need to actually purchase through a browser, the App never works. Also, if you view an item and go back instead of going back to where you were it scrolls all the way back to the top.

I was shown this app about 5 weeks ago, and during that time I have bought 4 items for Ice/Inline Hockey, that have all been phenomenal! I not only saved around $900-$1000 compared to retail prices, but each item was in better condition than what the photos showed, and the shipping/receiving aspects of the process were smooth and convenient. I have become addicted to this app, and if you are looking to find any hockey/sports related equipment for cheap, I highly recommend you browse this app!!

I tried to post an ad, but every time I upload images--the app says something is wrong and I cannot proceed forward to post my ad. I normally don't post reviews, but this is ridiculous. The app has potential, but it also isn't working.

I was excited about getting some used equipment for my kids. Made offers on three things. Bought a glove. No problem. Made an offer on a bat, seller never responded, because they haven't logged in to their account in 8 days. Made an offer on a second bat. Seller accepted. Then they decided they didn't actually have the bat in question and canceled my order. Guess I'll go back to ebay.

I have had nothing but great results I couldn't more happy with what I have purchased! It has been Golf clubs that is what I use the app for if they don't have it I wouldn't think anybody would. I bought five sets of irons through this app and happy with every purchase !

I've made s few sales when things work properly but lately the mobile app is not allowing posting new listings it's stuck at the end. Either it takes a while to finalize in the past or times out. Today it shows on last step "saving" and doesn't advance to list live. Tried clearing info and started over but same issue repeated. If this continues I'm done, taking my business elsewhere.

Have to use my wife's phone to complete transactions ok otherwise. Would like to see a back button that remembers where you are in your scrolling. It starts all the way back at the top of the list every time.

Great app. Only thing I would say is you can cant share stuff through the app to other people. Also when you save something and then view it, it brings you all the way to the top again. Other than that great app.

Only 2 stars because its all in usd there is no Canadian or usd which makes it awful because me as a Canadian i have to pay extra for shipping and tax but also i have to pay for the dollar conversion so if i buy something cheap wouldn't be a problem but if im buying something expensive the price would go up gradually according to the dollar conversion, its really disappointing because this is like the only app where i can browse through used hockey equipment

Great app that saved me tons of money. 400 for a bat that gets used one year is ridiculous. I bought my son a bat from here every year and then sold the bat when I bought the next bat. $400 bats for $200 and then sell them for 175 is way more reasonable. I don't know why anyone would buy new anymore.

Sideline swap itself is great, but man this app is 50/50 on usability. Some days you can hop on and do whatever, others it doesn't let you log in or even search. Sideline would be so much better if they could figure this app out

Love SidelineSwap but the app has become unusable. It keeps logging me off when trying to return from the seller. It only gives 3 categories to filter on and the search doesn't work. I now just use the website.

Great app and great service! Only complaint is that when pressing "back" when viewing my favorite items, it takes me all the way back to the "Account" section instead of the "my favorites" section. Also, a feature request is in the negotiations section, when clicking the other party's profile, it would be helpful to be able to see their listings. Currently, unable to do so in the app but able to do so in the website.

SidelineSwap itself is great. I've bought multiple items from various sellers & have had nothing but positive experiences. The ability to filter by item type, size, brand, etc. is extremely useful when you know what you're looking for and searches can be saved. However, you can't see your saved searches/results "feed" in the app, which means you have to do the same search/filters every time. I reached out to support who said that feature is not coming anytime soon. Uninstalled. Use the website

Mostly good, but with one really awful design flaw. When you look at an item from a filtered search, and you press the "back" button on an Android device, it wipes out your search filters and bumps you back to the landing page. Thus, you can't view more than one item at a time when from the search results, forcing you to re-enter your filters for each item you view.

Highly recommend if you're looking for/selling affordable gear. I've made around 10 sales, and I've only had an issue with one (USPS quit updating tracking). I'd give the app 5 stars but when I clicked on the Help Center/FAQ section for guidance, the link doesn't work. It's kinda important to have a functioning help center for an app like this. I'm surprised that I haven't received any scam messages like I've gotten on apps like OfferUp and eBay. Overall, I'm glad I found this app and tried it.

Android 10, app only loads some of the time, typically so can see lists of swaps, but stalls when opening the details. Also constantly get push notifications for communications that have nothing to do with me. Have been told via push notification multiple times that a swap had been agreed upon and it was time for me to ship my item... The only problem is I've never listed anything! Update: reliability has improved but still receiving false push notifications.

Though the app is dandy and all it has some flaws here & there: Not being able to view in/out on sellers pictures, the system crashes randomly sometimes, along with feedback control not responding either well,I tried to give reponse back on a product I was not pleased on and it wouldn't send it so the automated bot did for me which is upsetting cause I wasn't able to voice my opinion on it. Although the app is still great it allows all access to great sports equipment findings for great prices!!

Must provide payment details. Details provided. Still the same message. Over and over. Register on web and First order buyer says shipped; never arrives. Offer a 5 dollar coupon. Lol. First and last time using Sideline

The app is fine - the store is trash. There is no solid feedback system; most sellers are unmotivated, don't ship on time, and don't respond to offers or requests for updates. Stick to eBay or Amazon. You will overpay for a disappointing experience with sidelineswap. Update: There is no user feedback system at all. In my last transaction, the seller took 8 days to deliver the package to USPS, and there is no way to leave feedback on that seller. You have been warned. DO NOT USE SIDELINE SWAP.

I had to log in on a pc to place an order today. I log in through google, and for some reason i got logged out on the application and cannot log into my account there. I can only use from pc currently not sure what i am doing wrong.

Easy to navigate. Product was shipped promptly. Arrived in "as advertised" condition. Happy so far. More items to come.

App is super easy to use, great site for buying/selling used sports equipment. My experience shopping on SidelineSwap for equipment was much better than on Craigslist or even eBay. Much better selection and ability to search listings to find the specific items I needed, even down to the size/brand/new or used/other (item specific) options. Will be using this app/site for shopping of any sports equipment.

PLEASE FIX THIS SIMPLE ISSUE WITH THE APP! Changed to 4 stars when i realized they only support fullscreen images of listings on browsers like chrome for example. May have been an oversight, but it would be relatively easy to add to the app! Please add that ability to the app and it would be absolutely perfect!
