Siemens Smart Thermostat RDS

Extremely unintuitive app to match the overly complicated stat. I'm a distributor who got 10 of these stats for free, and everyone agrees they are terrible. Also if you forget your login, it looks like that stat can never be used on the app again??

Good thermostat but Siemens wont share the API of their climatix ic cloud server so it can not be intergated to home assistant. Also I own three of them but I can not see them in the same view in the app.

After update to latest sw. 2.0.1816 the application is not starting, I can see the Siemens logo on start up and then only white screen. Updated to version 2.0.1873 and now I can use the application on my mobile! Thanks a lot for the support.

Please provide integration to Google home/Home assistant/other smart Home solution, without it it's not a real "smart" thermostat, but a thermostat with remote control. Is it on the development roadmap?

Love the RDS thermostat. On the app I would like to see the option of creating a group so I don't need to go into each room individually but could change a whole house. On the device I'd like to be able to password protect the settings. There are advanced settings which are protected but guests still can mess around with language and wifi settings.

The biggest problem is that even though I have it in "off" mode, it still works and consumes the gas, while noone is at home. I think that's unacceptable and I can not imagine what is the point of that and why isn't it fixed so far.

Good app, but you must set the program's thermostats low, otherwise it comes on when the water or air temperatures are low and manually turn the heating and water on when you want them.

Won't even install. App crashed whenever opened it. Deleted app and tried to reinstall. Will download but won't install. Have cleared cache, downgraded play store, and cleared memory. Still will not install. Dec. 2nd. Still won't install on Android. Have done everything google recommended and still cannot install app. This needs to get fixed!

I can't even create an account, it always says failed.. So I can't log in and use the thermostat.. Simply HUGE MONEY WASTE PLEASE FIX THE APP RESPECT THE MONEY WE SPENT

Latest version now functions fine on Android 12. It would be useful if the app showed current room temperature in the devices overview.

Google home integration is missing. Also it would be better in the graphs to record somehow only the time that the thermostat was actually signaling the boiler to heat and not record how many hours the thermostat was active.

Increased to 3 stars since app seems to reliably follow the defined schedule after deactivation of the parameter “Room presence detector”. I'll give additional star if app provides reliable feedback about current heating status (on/off). The round slider seems to turn to orange color when thermostat is managing the temperature rather than explicitly indicate on and off status. I would finally grant 5 stars if app allow a finer temperature granularity than the 3 predefined levels.

This is the third day that the app is not working, I have uninstalled and reinstalled it on my smatphone but nothing happened, I only can manage the heater manually, but I can't change the temperature scheduled. This is very bad!

Worked fine for a month, can't open it anymore, the app keeps crashing on startup. Reinstalled but still doesn't work. I hope that you will fix it immediately.

The app was not working.. tried to update, unsuccessfully.. had it uninstalled and now can't download it.. it's really a pitty that a company of the size of Siemens cannot fix an app critical for buyers to use their not cheap thermostat.. I don't know what is the problem but it seems your last update didn't address it.. maybe is the new android version but whatever the reason do something fast..

The app cannot be installed or run on Android 12. Older version of the app released 8-11-2021 is 20MB where the app released 15-11-2021 is just 9MB. The older version is installed but can't be run. The newest version cannot be installed at all.

Application crashes always after log in. Cannot do anything with it. Siemens should be ashamed for this app and its customer experience using Rds110. Update 9/11/21: After latest update, app crashes before opening. Siemens should fire all devs working on this project. A 15year old guy could do it better. Shame on you Siemens! After android update to 12 i can't even install app. Please resolve this problem. I tried everything ( data wipe, cache wipe, uninstall and install nothing works ). Using Samsung Galaxy S21. Regard Domen

Since update to android 12, app deleted itself. Now can't install from playstore, fails everytime. Very poor from a large company like Siemens. When will this be sorted?

developers of this application are children. Hello to all, I have the android version 11 and after the latest update of app, the application crashes again and again. You spend much money for the rds 110 thermostats, and you cannot link with them.

I have problems to connect this app to Google home. Everything else work fine for me. I hope in future this app will be added to Google device list. Thank you 🙂

Thermostat app is refusing to connect 3 days now bottom line is that I lost a lot of money not able to switch off my heating unit . customer support is not replying my emails. Also there is no option for google home or alexa connection. Avoid this thermostat purchase

The thermostat app just stopped working. I have sent an email to siemens support a week ago and still have no reply. Shame on your customer support.

Really nothing smart about this device or app. Virtually no integration with any home automation. I regret my purchase now. Even the app login is with a password. No google or facebook login... Nowadays this is simply retarded.

App does not even install on Android 12! There is no way for me to control my thermostat, cant find any solution. Awaiting Siemens to react quick on this otherwise trust is lost.

Best device ever. The bad thing the book instructions for installation have no full information for the procedure. Once you set up correctly this device it makes great job!

App was automatically deleted from my phone and now can't even be installed. Siemens, would this thermostat still be considered smart? Fix it.
