Sierra Trading Post

Not sure how this app has such great reviews... I've had it installed several times over the past few years and it's consistently had major issues. I decided to install it again to see if they'd stepped up their game, but now when I open it up, all it shows is a white screen with "Sierra" in the center. And it never progresses to the actual shopping part of the app.

It's alright. Fairly intuitive and easy to find things. Kind of slow. Searching for something using the search feature is almost always a problem. Would be nice if you could check in store inventory via the app. Lately hiking or trail shoes over size 11 have been sparse via the website. Would be nice to know if the store 40min from me has bigger sizes available. Then just order for pickup. I recall when the STP website was featured in books as a model of intuitive design and SEO. No longer...

2/21/19: The app won't load at all. Freezes upon opening. 1/23/19: First, Sierra Trading Post as an online retailer is a 5/5 in my book. It's my go-to shopping for shoes. However, this android app has many bugs and glitches. The overall shopping experience design is fine, but sometimes it's slow to load items and today, from nowhere, it requests to leave the app and open every selected menu item or product in my web browser - including my account info and list of previous orders. It's just crazy.

still very buggy. The Hourglass button for the search is completely unresponsive on my Motorola Z2 Force. I've installed and remove the app several times and I've also rebooted my phone several times. I always seem to have to just user browser if I want to buy from Sierra Outpost. I really like their deals and selection but the app is so disappointing.

This is quite possibly the worst shopping app available. While I'm a longtime and loyal STP customer, this app seems designed to save me money by not allowing me to 1) find an item, 2) look at an item, or 3) remove unwanted items for my cart prior to checkout. The search feature is tediously slow. The view item feature is frustrating because pictures load tediously slow. And the remove items from cart forces you to delete items one at a time (each one tediously slow). Not recommended.

This app used to be good. I ordered on it regularly. This app will NOT open. It goes to a white page with the logo and nowhere else. And while it's doing nothing, it freezes up your phone. I have sent detailed feedback to the company with no response. Bummer, uninstalled, again! Should be zero stars and they should pull the app until it gets fixed, instead of frustrating people all day, every day. ✌🏽♥️🙂

EDIT: STILL can't review, now I can't delete things from cart, takes over a minute for each item. 5 days, still awaiting customer service. Terrible, terrible app, so glitchy its frustrating as heck. I've contacted them about this months ago and nothing changed. Can't review, can't use ebates with their app, can't search properly, editing and saving items in cart takes forever, slow and glitchy, please please fix!

App used to work fine. Now the past month or so, when I open the app, it just shows a white screen with their Sierra logo, and then it freezes up my phone and I have to force quit out of everything. They need to fix it. I uninstalled the app now. I have a Samsung S8 Active.

1 star for current situation. For a few months now, the app simply won't open on my pixel 3xl. Just tried downloading it again and installing and it still isn't working, after multiple Android system updates over the months. Every other app opens fine, so something about this one just isn't playing right anymore with Android, apparently.

Have been a loyal Shopper at Sierra Trading Post for well over a decade. This app, though, truly sux. Can't get it to open any longer on my Android device, so am relegated to shopping with my laptop. My spousal unit likes that because she thinks I'm buying less then if I had the app working on my smartphone. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app from the Google Play Store to no avail. Super frustrating.

The STP app has been very buggy and freezy for the last six months + on my google pixel mobile. Happens immediately after opening app, just displays a blank screen with Sierra logo header at top. Have tried un+reinstalling several times and I turned off data saver. The app also has all requested permissions. It ran OK for over a year previously to these issues. Are there any known issues with other resident applications on Google system?What gives with this POJ program?

SIERRA TRADING POST: YOU ARE LOSING BUSINESS!!! This app has not worked for many months on my Galaxy S9. I only shop using my phone and have made multiple purchases through the app for several years without a problem. Now the app will not open and you have basically lost me as a customer. I'm very disappointed. Many other reviewers are having this exact same problem. Why are you not responding to this, Sierra Trading Post???

I'm a regular Sierra shopper (via computer). Navigating the app with the filters is simply too time consuming and, to be honest, maddening. The interface is far from user-friendly and that's a shame.

App just doesn't work! Tried three devices does not work on any of them. I use to really like shopping with this company. Now everything from the physical store to the App had gone straight down hill. I'm not sure how one company falls so far, so fast.

just downloaded and can't even check it out because all I get when I open the app is the logo, in other words it doesn't work at all. wanted the option of viewing this on my phone as well as online. guess I can only look online till the app is fixed. disappointing.

When clicking an advertised item in an email, app does not go to that item. In addition, Sierra Trading Post no longer offers any specials such as free or flat fee shipping. Plus the name change makes it easy to confuse their emails with emails from Sierra Club.

Loved the app before it was changed. New version doesn't open, it stalls and sticks on the title page. Even went so far as uninstalling, restarting phone, and reinstalling. Still won't open.

Broken and has a tough time loading anything. Not sure if this is a server problem, or if the app is under repairs. I'm disappointed that the company isnt focusing on fixes these issues since these problems have been noted before by prior users and this is a money sink if they can't generate sales from a broken app. Not sure what TJX is doing, but definitely not good for business.

App does not function. Over the past several months, I've downloaded & deleted several times. Nothing changes. Why doesn't Sierra fix it? Things over there have gone down over the last year.

App was updated, now will not go past logo screen. I've shopped at STP since it was a print catalog, but you all need to fix this or you're losing a customer. It's been this way for at least a month. Fix it.

Won't let me sign in. Even tried making a new account but both emails I have apparently are "invalid"? Pathetic log in system the company has set up. Take this rating into consideration to keep money flowing your way. I'd rate it 0 no stars..that's how disappointed I am. Hope nobody else has this problem. It's ashame because I love to order from here so much. I wanted to make a wishlist and I can't do it because of your glitch 😒

Used to work fine, quit working, only see white screen with sierra logo. I wanted to start Christmas shopping like I do every year with the app, but I can't. PLEASE FIX!!! You are definitely losing business over this!

This used to be a good ap. I have shopped Sierra for years. Probably every sense they have been on line. But, the app has not worked properly for 3 months that I know of. I have deleted and reinstalled. We'd then jou open the spot it just sits there . . ....... Just FYI. Go to the internet and pull up website. Please fix.

The app works approximately 1% of the time. Unfortunately, it usually just opens to a blank screen or the application completely freezes up.

The app has yet to open for me at all. I only get the blank white page where it has Sierra and that's it nothing further. Doesn't open for me at all. I really enjoy shopping at there stores but I cannot do anything on the app which would be nice to hopefully!

I love Sierra, I don't love the app. I haven't been able to get it to open for several weeks now. Hey Sierra, I miss you guys! Get your app fixed so I can give you my business.
