I've been using this app for about a year. It stalls frequently on my Android phone. The app does not seem to pick up changing traffic conditions often enough. I am using it less and less. Looking to switch to something better.
this is the only traffic app or website I've found that provides raw speed sensor data and they've been doing it since before smartphones were a glint in Steve jobs's eyes. circa 2004 every person in LA checked that website at least twice a day, glad to see they expanded their markets. Google maps &c just give you an approximation calculated from the sensor data when available, and random users when not, it can be wildly inaccurate or misleading
Used to be an awesome app... as of Sept 1st, 2020 - the app just loads up a browser page to the sigalert website. Completely useless now. If I wanted to use my browser to access the page, I would've just created a bookmark. No need for an app.
This sigalert app itself shows traffic cameras in Los Angeles, California only, but does not show traffic cameras for other cities like Albany, NY, or New York City, NY. If you are looking for traffic cameras from other cities besides Los Angeles, e.g., Albany, NY or New York City, NY, download the sigalert website.
I can go on in 10 seconds, & find out the traffic before I hit it. which is great, to switch directions if needed. Not once has it disappointed me. 👍
Doesn't work! Only for Central and southern Indiana to Louisville, KY road conditions and not elsewhere, doesn't let you zoom out or move the map to other places. Plus the camera icons don't work! Uninstalled!
This used to be an amazing app. Now tapping the camera icon does nothing and the zoom has to be held or it reverts back to full view. Uninstalled.
Not needing it during our pandemic but living with traffic jams of mysterious origin in a state capitol, this thing helped identify where some were before I left an area for another & to choose alternate routes - saved time!
Not always accurate and no numbers to reach out to for Q/A. However, given info can help determine a faster route if you know area.
Can't zoom very close. Unable to see the small (one/two way) streets. Barely able to see the main streets. No street names.
Appa's jacking up right now and hasn't been working for the last 72 hours texting needs to get on this fix it already uninstalled twice something's not working out here in Los Angeles area with this FYI fix this immediately
Love it although the delay time is sometimes not accurate as a truck driver this app has saved me on numerous occasions from sitting in traffic
Got a new phone, now it won't load at all. Hopefully you can get this fixed. I was a very helpful app
Works great for me on my pixel 3a. I can see real-time traffic flows.
Works in boston area. I use it daily. Customer Service is excellent
A little slow in loading sometimes but I don't think it's the aps fault it's my phone
Recently sigalert ONLY shows the LA area, not where I live. I'm removing it from my phone.
Clunky, not fluid to use, not responsive
Usually great but not updating as of 2:30 pm today.
Accurate, easy to understand.
Balto beltway 695 inter and outer loop has not worked in over last 10 days all it says is N/A
Limited features but gets the job done in
Best Traffic App Ever!!!
Not free. There is a monthly fees.
The development team that put this together violates some very basic mobile app standards. No matter where you are in the app, hitting the back button closes the app instead of going back to the previous screen. This is extremely annoying. I know they provide close icons but when 99% of the apps follow the backup rule 90% of the time I instinctively hit the back button and close the app. Also, very poor zoom capabilities and the icons are so small on a phone it is nearly impossible to touch when you have large fingers. The map is extremely limited and only shows the primary roads. By today's app standards, this one fails miserably
