Sight Words Coach

I like that you can make custom word lists. However when playing the game it is only allowing playing seven words at a time. Then it scores. Then you have to go back into the same custom list to get different words. That is not easy just to give to my 6-year-old and make sure he has gone through all of the words! Why is the app not going through every word on the list before it changes?!

We just used it for 15 minutes, and I'm very happy with it. I have a slight technical issue, where my volume key does not adjusr the app volume, but adjusts my ring tone instead. This does not occur with other apps. However, I was able to manually select and adjust the media volume, so I'll most likely purchase this one.

This was what we needed! I had been searching for an app where you could create your own word list! Not only does this application allow you to do that, but it also allows you to record your own voice or your child's voice saying the words! It also has the technology to prompt the child to choose between other sight words that look similar. As well as repeating words that they get wrong more often. Worth every penny!

I really like that I can make a custom lists to match his lists from school. I was a little disappointed that you can only do multiple choice quizes. I dont want to confuse him (being only 5) with all the wrong choices. I would like to see just the word in a game or something. Like find the word in this picture or trace the word.

Good app. I like that it only cycles through a few words at a time and records the one you have trouble on and gives you the option to review those. The fact that it makes a various noises even when you get the answer wrong does not always show my child that they got it wrong. it's almost like a reward. the sounds need to be more simple so that it is always clear for my child. this may not a be a problem for your child so It may be perfect for you but It was not working for us for that reason.

I had been looking for an app to teach sight words to my girl going to Nursery. Tried so many apps but did not find option to create my list of words and then I found Sight words coach. You can create your own quiz and record your voice. Also, icons keep on changing in every quiz that keeps kid's excited. Even my 3rd grade son is loving it so much.

It is perfect. Only one feedback: because I am not native English speaker, I think you must to add an option to create custom list of words or phrases too. But you must to add a pronunciation machine for this option.

I like this app. Awesome that it is add free! Simple but good practice for my daughter. I like that you are able to add your own words. The words were easy for my 1sr grader so I added some that are a challenge for her. I love the idea of her seeing these words over and over. I did pay the $5 to add extra words. You can add 20 without paying.

Great learning tool. The ability to record custom words to help with kids' homework is a brilliant feature. Especially if, like me, you need to replace American pronunication with British versions.

Now I have my child's sight words with us wherever we go. I love the grade appropriate pre made lists. Also it was so easy to add the teachers assigned words to the custom lists. I will be using this app for all my kids.

One of the best apps for sight word repetition. I save Kindergarten weekly sight words to a list. My son can work through new and old words in a few minutes. I have each word saved to his voice.

Good app. However, when children choose the wrong word, it should reat that word. Also, when the correct answer is chosen, it should be reread so the child remembers what word they picked to reinforce learning. 3.5 stars

I use this app with my Kindergartener. I have her say the words and even use a second custom word list to spell out the same sight words. She is a 21st century learner so this app helps out so much. I even shared with her teacher and she thought it was great and wanted to share with other parents.

Not what I was expecting. . It doesn't have any sentence structure as it displayed in the demonstration video, there are just a small selection of words to read and select and it's way to easy for a 6yr old! Where's the rest of the game?

I really like this app. Dealing with schools and sight words, this app helps me assess where my daughter is so I can work on words she's having trouble with. I sprang for the premium, just so I can use this for my other daughter. It's a very useful app.

I was really excited about this app! I wanted to quiz my son on his current sight words while stuck at home. It worked great up to where it told me that in order to make a 3rd list, that I would have to pay money...Really?!? Each list only ALLOWS 10 words! 20 words is an insult. Thanks for getting my hopes up for nothing....☮ After receiving your response, I will change my 2 star review to a 3.

Very good app to help young students. Here in Texas the custom lists are a must. I only wish it used Google Text To Speach (TSS) rather than having to record my own voice. Well worth the money, I highly recommend it.

I love that I can record my own voice for my child to learn! We have been using this app to help my grade 1 child with spelling words. She has struggled very hard with spelling. I enter her spelling words in the custom lists, record the word AND spelling and she has gone from 0/5 or 1/5 to 4/5 and 5/5 since using this app as a tool to help learn!

Both my Jk and 2nd Grader use this app. It is exactly what I was looking for. Now I don't have to bring our flashcards if we are going out and want to spend time on our sight words, they are always with us, they can work on them anytime.

My Daughter LOVES this simple app!! But giving 2 stars for now. I was happy to pay for the app! She has 50 sight words to go through each night but the app DOES NOT let you have more than 7 Quiz Words!!!! PLEASE ALLOW A QUIZ TO TEST ALL CUSTOM WORDS CREATED!!!!!! 🙏

I gave it 4 stars because I wish there was a way to turn the volume up. My daughter has to repeatedly touch the word to hear it which makes this app somewhat annoying.

My daughter loves this app and asks to play this game every day. I am seeing a difference in how fast she is recognising words and isn't afraid to try new things and I see her sounding out a lot more too. I am very happy with this game and recommend anyone to try it with their child/children.

This app is very easy to use and it allows you to create your own customer words as well as record your own voice. My son loved hearing his voice say the word. It got him to like playing the game even more! I will be sharing it with more people!

My 4 yr is doing amazing with the help of his teachers And the game. But I wish it had the same sound for when it was wrong. And it does confuse a 4 yr when it asks for red but the option also gives read .

I would recommend this game to anyone with a child that is having trouble with sight words. it's user friendly. My child loves it and you can customize the words to if your childs needs.

Don't like that so far this game seems to be limited without paying for an upgrade for custom words hope it gets better would really like for my child to be able to interact a little more and have more options even for a free app.
