Sign Language

I subtract 3 stars because of the quality of the pictures/illustrations. (Not all of the images are a large size and I was unable to zoom in on the smaller ones. The content is useful, but the point is lost if I can't easily enjoy seeing everything clearly) I would have given this app, the 3 stars I subtracted though so it's not a complete failure.😐

I'm currently studying ASL; this is my second year. The thing about sign language is that it always changes either because its not politically correct or other reasons. The first thing I noticed is the time signs....they are correct and all but it has changed because of facetiming and technology; it now faces outward so you can see the m or t and other reasons. This app is ok for starting to learn how to sign but its old and it doesn't change with the Deaf community and the signs.

I know a decent amount of sign language, and I was hoping to become more fluent in ASL sign language, but they don't show the movements of the sign, and that's not completely correct. This is a pretty good app, although I suggest you thoroughly learn ASL, and edit some mistakes here and there.

Absolutely useless. This app doesn't teach you anything. The images they show are not clear, it doesn't teach you full sentences, it doesn't help you learn anything except SOME of the alphabet and you could just look that up instead of downloading this horrible app.

I knew I didn't like the app when I first opened it. I know a good amount of sign language, but I just wanted to know more just in case if there is a situation that I need to know more sign language. So when I opened the app, I noticed that there were no side views, no arrows to know if the hand moves or not etc. Example: The letter J is the same as the letter I, but you move your pinkie like it's the shape of a hook. But they just put it side ways. I DO NOT recommend this app AT ALL!

This is a very good app, especially for people who are learning to sign and are beginners. However, as I saw it mentioned in many other comments, it is true that the quality of the pictures may be a little off and it may sometimes be hard to recognize, but that's really the only flaw I found with the app, and I really do enjoy trying out new things and trying to learn sign language, because I've wanted to for a while, and it's nice to have this app.

Its a good app, very useful. However, it doesn't say anywhere that is is asl. American sign language. This is a problem for me as i am british. However, I'm just going to continue learning american sign language as I've already started. Just would be useful to know what kind of sign language this is.

Terrible! Been using sign for almost 20 yrs. App explains nothing. Very confusing. No real interpreter to show u how. I'm not an interpreter or licensed. I had a relationship with a deaf person for 17 yrs and married with that person almost 10. Also I've worked with the deaf for more than 10 yrs. You may as well buy a BOOK. Illustration doesn't cut it. Just ask the internet for the sign. It'll show u how with a real licensed interpreter. Trust me!

This Sign language app Is correct the reason why I know this is because I know sign language. I just didnt have to learn it but I also wanted to learn it for my friends and Family. At the same time I use sign language at work to help make sure that what my customers was wanting was correct The only thing with this app is that I would suggest that you should make it to where if someone does not understand that they can watch it like a video and be able to interact with this app

I really like this app because, for me it's really easy to see and for me it's really easy to remember words! This is really helpful so I could communicate with my friend which also can do sign language!

it is showing the right signs but it is in very weird print and it is very hard to understand what to do. if your a person that can easily understand stuff and read weird print then this is for you but for the rest its not the best.

It's great for beginning!! I learned more than 200 words.... I still wasnt able to have a conversation though and that is frustrating.

Slightly more useful than the other apps I've tried, but the images are very low quality, and the amount of ads make browsing a very frustrating process.

60-70% of this app is doubles, triples, repeats, images without translation, horrible image quality, all working together to make this app uselss. Uninstalled.

Would like it if the ads didn't make it unusable. No option to remove ads, there is an ad every time you try to go back to the previous section.

Instead of a bunch of ads at the end, you should include a chapter or two on basic constructs of ASL. Such as taking the sign for week and doing it with a 2 hand making it 2 weeks. Or reminding people to try and keep their elbow steady and their palm facing the person being spoken to when practicing at home.

Everytime I tried opening it, it would say that the app was unavailable. I thought it was my device so I used two other devices, but it said the same thing. It may just be me, but I highly recommend you don't get this app.

Good app. Very useful tool for learning. Extensive list of signs for free. Also throws in a little extra for nothing too!

i like the app, but the pictures are not the best quality. you can't really see what the image is trying to convey. how about videos?

Way to many ads the sign language is kinda weird in the "example" even though its hardly an example and it does not update as sign language changes

This app can be useful for the learners to where I teach. I gonna share it to their parents so they can teach their child at home. We really love this app and other sign language apps.

half the signs were wrong and the pictures were too confusing!!! i know how to sign, but not the way they do it!!! Yes,some are right, but most arent the asl i know!!!

I would say this not bad, but I would say its also not good, I mean it's hard to distingush the direction of the hand since the angle of the camera is everywhere

I can't zoom in to see the pictures it really annoying and some of the pictures are not clear so two stars.

I really like this app! its helping me learn more about sighn language because my dads best friend does sign language all the time and I don't understand it so this app really helps

the app is a cool learning experience but I can't really see the pictures to be honest I would recommend it if the makers make the pics a little clear
