Doesn't even work at all. Says not connected to Wi-Fi even though everything else on the same device works just fine.
The app use to be very helpful but it doesn't display wait times for most of the rides. Also does not show cave tour schedule.
Poorly designed. There's no search feature for finding specific attractions or locations, and though the map is a great idea there's no way to toggle off all the location tags (you can turn off everything except the "handicap accessible/not accessible" flags) which obscure the map and make it virtually impossible to use. Word to the wise: just open Google maps. The only useful thing in this app is all the menus in one place, and (very tellingly) they don't include the prices. Come on, SDC.
I saw others had problems getting accurate info on wait times. My wife and I only needed it for the map and directions to entertainment venues. We picked an event off the schedule list and tried to follow the map and moving icon. Horrible result. The map tries to reposition itself with each step you take, so it constantly twirls around. When we finally got to where it was directing us it was the wrong stage! Worthless app, as far as we're concerned.
Somewhat helpful. Told us when & where shows were and about dining places. GPS feature on taking us to different places helped twice but then stopped directing well. Also the tracker (blue line) kept flipping around even though I turned off rotation on my phone. The printed map also did not help us much in getting where we wanted to go. It would have been more helpful if places were listed in alphabetical order with the coordinates instead of by category. Would I download again? Probably.
"Error: Unable to Connect Please make sure your phone is connected to Wi-Fi or a cellular network and try again." I even tested it after we got home on our home network and got the same error. I believe you have to be connected to the park's Wi-Fi for it to work, but I couldn't get their Wi-Fi to authenticate on my phone either. It kept giving me a sign-in loop. Love their park, been going their since I was a kid. But it's one-star for the app and their Wi-Fi.
App worked before the update, not after. Have tested internet and wifi connections, both are great running speeds. Have re-instalmes 4x across 2 android devices, still doesn't open. Other apps/web pages load connect on both data/wifi except this one. Checked all app permissions and settings, location enabled, etc. App is a complete dud after this update. Guess my OS won't support it right before my first trip.
GPS is a little off, calibration didn't help. If it says it'll talk 4 minutes to walk, double it. Map seems to reload and depend on data connection. There is definitely room for improvement. Would be nice if the filters could be saved. Maybe a slider to to turn on keep screen awake so it didn't turn off as much when using to navigate.
I can't get past the loading screen. It says I'm not connected to the internet. I hope this gets fixed before my trip.
Review updated 2021/08/03. Search feature now available, but can sometimes generate unhelpful results. Gyro/GPS sensitivity is still a bit too high, but map and directions are improved. Ride list can be sorted by wait times, but the wait times are no longer displayed? I spent about an hour putting a list together on my profile, only to have it deleted/gone the day of my visit. Request: Having parking stops on the map could help tram riders.

Wait times are grossly inaccurate...if they even populate at all.
The app won't let me sign in. It says I'm not connected to a network. The problem is that I am connected to a network. Fire your app developer and find someone that knows what they are doing.
Never could get the app to work at all, it would say unable to connect and for me to check my wifi/data service which was working fine. Tried repeatedly to open it using WiFi and phone data, deleted it and reinstalled multiple times in multiple devices and never could I get past the first screen of the big 60 Silver Dollar City logo, I had this app years ago and it worked good hopefully the programming error gets fixed for the people traveling to Silver Dollar City soon.
Cant connect even though i have mobile data and wifi both available
June 5, 2021 The Android version of the app is currently unusable. It will never connect to the servers regardless of internet signal quality. A suggestion to the devs; have the device download the map and waypoints and just use the GPS rather than needing to download the same map data over and over.
Main use for wait tines, useless. Checked several rides with "no wait time" and found super long lines, 45+ minute ones. What good us an app if it isn't close to accurate. Also the GPS doesn't show where we are on the map and filters kept coming back on after being turned off.
Previously I had this at 5 stars, now it's 1. Same problem as all other reviews, it won't launch claiming that I am not connected to the internet. I've waited weeks for this to be resolved and have reinstalled the app many times to no avail. Park is still 5/5, but an app that won't load is useless junk.
Won't even load always says connection issues
If they updated the wait times for rides AT ALL....I would have given it a four. I usually forgot the app was even on my phone while we were in the park because between the paper maps and simply walking, it was pointless to open the app and look a time that was wrong.
App is very helpful. For people saying they weren't connected, if you connect to SDC wifi you may have to connect once in wifi settings and a 2nd time via browser. Includes in park GPS directions, wait times show times, etc... Very helpful on our family trip!
Won't load just gives an error
Didn't work. Recieved the "Error unable to connect. Please make sure you phone is connected to the wifi or a cellular network and try again" . Network was fine because I was able to use the internet for other things while on the park network. I was there on a weekday with a medium size crowd.
Would be good if you could actually use the app. Weekday with moderate crowd and none of us can use it, even though we have data and park wifi, both of which are working. For a "world acclaimed" amusement park and as a season pass holder, it is frustrating to not have either app wait times or physical posted times at the entrances. Been waiting in line for 90 min with another 30ish to go.... Would have been nice to make an educated decision before queueing up
This app is horrible. Wait times are not accurate. There is no way to tell if food stands or shops are open or closed and many of them close early. The back button on android does not take you back but instead closes the app and when you reopen it you have to start over. The videos that are supposed to show a preview of rides do not work at all. Silver dollar city just spent $25 million on a new ride. They should spend $50k on a decent app.
There needs to be a way to turn off the wheelchair accessible icons. It obscures a good portion of the map and makes it hard to see other things. Everything else can be filtered out as desired except for wheelchair.
The only reason to get this is as a map, it usually doesn't tell you what rides are open or not, quite often incorrectly lists rides as closed/open when they aren't, and 95% of the time doesn't list any wait times. It's aslo straight up missing a few attractions on the map
The app doesn't work. I installed it in December when we went and worked good the . Reinstalled it now and doesn't work at all. So many reviews on here..look at them and do something about it! Worthless app when it doesn't work. Very disappointing. Come on SDC!
Will not work on my phone (OnePlus 9 Pro) or my husband's (Samsung 10+). Keeps giving me an error saying that I need to connect to WiFi or Mobile Data. Have checked all of my connections and everything is perfect.
