This game would be a lot better without all the unnecessary message pop-ups (not ads, although just as annoying) that prevent you from actually doing anything. Hint: Don't speed up the game, if you do you'll have a difficult time shutting it back off. If the developers could fix this, the game would be fun, instead of work.

It's actually a really enjoyable game, Kairosoft classics. The challenge is that you can only use the theme once and that you can't gain it by research. It's also a bit annoying that you can't choose the staff after you choose the genre, so I have to go back to assemble my team after deciding on a genre. Also it would be a lot more fun if the building's in 3D like the baseball game instead of 2D like this. Thank you for keeping making good games.

I love this game. The game is great for those who like game dev etc etc. I'm ok with the side scrolling but it can be a tad annoying until you get the button to collect all money etc. We need more genres and some of the themes should be genres instead, like Fantasy and Horror. I can't believe I'm going to say this but I wish there was a slow down button too. Overall I love it though. Finished 20th yr and I'm still playing. I already plan to play through again once I unlock everything.

Yes the game starts out slow, but that is only because there is a lot to wrap your head around. But once you get past 6 year on the game it becomes easier because you can truly understand the play and work out how to beat it now. Though I will say, forget the quest on the first run though on the game and just fouces on making movies, good or bad, it doesn't matter. When the game ends and you can start round two, all those movies you make before makes the game much easier to build you up.

This is one of kairosoft's best games. I would give it five stars but the annoying amount of popups with information that happened during the game is nothing short of frustrating. Just when you're trying to click on something a pop-up appears. Also, it seems to be a little difficult to click on actors and Technical staff to hire them. Sometimes you have to tap more than once. I would suggest that they lengthen the game time and spaced-out the events bit more.

A good return to the Kairosoft single player games of old. A very fast paced game, it can be daunting to get a grip on what you need to do to thrive and survive making movies, but once you start figuring out the ins and outs it can be hard to stop playing. Word of advice though, don't be quick to upgrade the theatres even if they sell out! You'll sell more tickets but at a reduced price, so you'll make less money. Save up, and upgrade your other buildings first!

It's a simple, time killer game. I however have to agree with other users who have mentioned a bug that eliminates your profits when you add more theaters. You can go from make a billion per release to barely scrapping together 115,000 per release. That in itself isn't necessarily bad until you consider that almost all the higher end (I.E better) actors/actresses are between 100,000 and 300,000, effectively making it impossible to progress forward. Wouldn't be bad if the bug was patched.

This is a good game, not quite what youd expect. its certainly not a casual game, everything happens really fast, the goal is to score as high as possible in 20 years. Gameplay wise it works like a lot of the game developer tycoon type games, build a team, build up your studio, experiment with different movie genres, locations, advertising and actors to try and get hits movies. I really wish this game had a slower speed setting, a pause where you could stil click on stuff but overall great!

It's a refreshingly simple yet engrossing game. Can't put it down. The simple progression keeps you interested and eagerly watching the numbers rise as you get better and and score higher trying to get that #1 release. One thing I find irritating is the side scrolling to find new staff and actors. Collecting money and points is annoying until you get to rank 4. It is often a challenge to select an individual actor or staff to hire. Other than that, it is very fun!

Kairosoft Devs, This is a good game. One of the better ones in recent memory. It is lacking a bit in controls and some complaints have merit, such as confusion surrounding firing old employees. Now I have bought and/or played the vast majority of your games. The best ones give the player the opportunity to grow, while maintaining some simplicity with hidden complexity - it forces the player to figure out the game and thus many break it, and that is perfectly alright. Think about that.

More depth than Game Dev Story but somehow feels lesser in the end. It doesn't do a great job of communicating the mechanics and the menu navigation can be clunky when wanting to make changes to your team or movie. I didn't really get a proper feel for it until near the end of my first run. That being said, I refer to it as my "first" run for a reason, it's pretty friggin fun.

Classic kairosoft. Fun and relaxing. A bit messy, design wise (some poorly communicated features and systems), but that too isn't unusual, and it's not really vital to figure stuff out unless you're minmaxing. Biggest flaw is the controls, which have a lot of issues with overlapping buttons.

Number of QOL issues. Should be able to have a list of available actors/employees, rather than hunt them down. Especially when you have multiple movies going that keep pulling you away. Also should be able to ignore movie progress popups for a smoother playthrough. Would like a list of what all is carried over in New game + as well as all the requirements for tasks being clear. Ability to upgrade actors stats/skills like employees. Otherwise, love the game.

A return to "Great Kairosoft Gaming" slightly marred by bad UI. This game has a lot of the fun we're used to in Kairsoft games. tons of characters, cute backgrounds, and the skinner box of finding new combos. The big problem is that your "studio lot" is one looooong line, and to interact with new actors and staff (of which there are many) you are forced to swipe back and forth until you find them, and then try to find the 'sweet spot'. Started to feel like "Super Swipe Story".

A fun Kairosoft installment, with aspects from some of their biggest hits - well worth the investment and keeps you playing with that 'one more turn' vibe. The only annoyance is the increasing and persistent pop-up notifications for in-game events; there's a lot happening and it takes away from focusing on a single task. Still well worth your time if you're a Kairo fan.

I played through it once and around year 27 or so I restarted in the same save file. It was fun!! My only complaint is how everything just pops up instead of being able to click on it. It's frustrating when trying to do something and you get 15 pop ups in a row.

I love most of the games this developer makes but this one I found got a bit boring quite quickly as it was too slow, and felt like I was playing an inevitable storyline. But other than that it certainly has potential but I didn't finish this one like most others I've played. Please remake or update new stuff sometime would be great for your loyal customers!! πŸ™πŸ˜

I liked the idea of this game but the repetitive gameplay and clunky interface put me off. Sure, per usual with Kairosoft games, the characters and dialogue were charming. Still, I did not look forward to returning to the game -- too much grind, not enough fun.

Sot. Dec 11, 2019

I really love Kairosoft games I've played a lot of them. The gameplay and replayability is very nice (there is a new game+). The only reason why I give 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the drm. I'm fine with having to validate the app for the first time, only it periodically tries to validate the app again. I play these games while on holiday for example, where I don't always have internet available, which in turn blocks me out of the game until I can validate the game once more.

Sco. H. Jun 9, 2019

Badly flawed. Silver Screen has the messiest and worst user interface of any Kairosoft game. I still don't know how to fire excess staff. Hiring is done by tapping on characters that wander the streets, but it takes several attempts to get the click to register or hit. You upgrade buildings by expanding your area to the left and right of your film studio, which means that you have a longer and longer area to search for new staff and the game slows down more and more (Samsung Galaxy Tab S).

Ash. R. Mar 15, 2022

I love this game but Ive run into a bug that makes it unplayable. Essentially it keeps crashing during the Awards Ceremony at the Directors award and you cant fully skip the awards ceremonies so I cant keep playing.

Fak. E. Jan 19, 2022

It's an okay way to kill some time. Don't upgrade movie theaters if u don't have too. For some reason to more you upgrade so u can sell more tickets the less money you make despite selling g tons of tickets. Also new game plus sucks. Your movie staff keep their levels and high pay rate but not their stats so you start over and have to pay high salaries w garbage stats. This game isn't worth $6.99 with all its bugs. Honestly if say it's worth $0.99.

Ado. R. Oct 3, 2019

The combinations don't seem to have any logic or reason behind them, which can make it incredibly frustrating trying to find a good combo. I also feel like it really needs more genres. Otherwise a good, fun, addictive little game.

Man. S. Apr 18, 2021

The in game notifications are very constant and annoying. I spent more time skipping scenes, and junk that was really overdone. There was no need for that many. It's 98% of the "game" that they should have named it a tap story adventure

Nic. S. Oct 20, 2019

Pretty fun. Not easy at the beginning clicking on the street actors n actresses is not easy as it's tiny. But u can zoom in and out to make it easier. Has to be fast though. Quite a number of interesting themes etc. Worth the price. No in app purchase wonderful. Thks Please make Yr Basketball in English arigato

Mel. M. Jun 14, 2019

The first is with the Africa cinema, I bought it and upgraded it four times then when my movie released it had Africa listed as not bought yet, so I double checked and yup it's definitely unlocked. Secondly, sometimes when I train my staff their start points go up, but when I check that staff member the start points will be at their previous non updated state. Also all awards except for film festival ones stop happening after a few years.

It's like playing a pop up game. Too many pop ups not a lot of gameplay. Holy molly this eats a lot of your time when they show information that doesn't interest you. This needs an option to hire people easier than trying to click the actors. Needs a pause button to be able to do things properly, less pop ups. I don't care if I am top 50 or how well I'm doing. The older Kairosoft games did this a lot better

Jon. F. Dec 18, 2020

Fun, mindless. I wish it was easier to recruit actors and staff. You will be trying to catch them on the sidewalk and a pop-up from your secretary or the production interrupts and make it very annoying. I lost of interested parties would be nice. Negotiable contacts would be fantastic!

Ale. B. Dec 29, 2020

Would be 5 but need a few tweaks and it'll be a perfect addicting little sim. I love the developer always have. But the game is missing the pregame options before you start a new save also there the designate time to beat is super short you barely update your people and studio before it says its over made

Rob. H. Jun 18, 2019

Kairosoft new games just keep getting worse. Poor interface, overly complicated in all the wrong ways. I wish they would just go back to making the games they were making two or three years ago - simple, internet-less, little management games that enjoyable ate up a week or two of my life.
