SilverCrest Wi-Fi Doorbell
With this App you can connect your STWT 720 doorbell to the Internet and finish the setup. After the installation you can communicate with your visitors who are ringing the bell, from anywhere you like (a good internet connection is mandatory).
In addition this App enables the function to save automatic videos if anyone triggers the motion sensor.
It is also possible to make Video or pictures manually if visitors are standing in front of your door (automatic triggered videos will be saved on a SD card inside the station/ no cloud service needed).

The smartphone must support at least the operating system version Android 5.0

Took multiple attempts to set up, very poor instructions. ( I don't even know how I got it going in the end!! ) Takes from about 3 minutes to infinity ..... for phone to alert to doorbell ring. ( i.e. person long gone ) Base station tinkle useless unless you are within a few meters of it. ( In the same room) Battery life is pathetic. Audio useless. Notifications useless. I would definitely NOT recommend.
Seems to be working ok with my Samsung S8 with Android 9. Sometimes there is a delay or no notification on the phone when the doorbell is rung. Been getting worse over time or after each update. Would be nice if the motion detector sensitivity could be adjusted or be able to schedule when the motion detection is active, say at night time. Also being able to disable certain push notifications like motion detection would be good, i.e. so I just get notified when someone rings the doorbell.
Junk Junk Junk I tried all advices here I also got two apps to alter Android heartbeat WiFi and cellular connection rate - none of these worked. The latency between the postman pressing the bell and my phone (galaxy note 10+) is usually above 5 minutes. I doubt the guys at Ring have had a special deal with Google for faster update rates - you guys (sw developers) are fighting the same problem. Did you not invest in a better server? There must be something wrong with so many bad reviews!
This is without doubt the worst app I have ever tried to use. Followed the installation instructions to the letter. App downloads but would not let me register. Tried different email addresses and received the verification codes but would still not let me register. Making contact is impossible. Wasted a day and a half trying to set it up to no avail. This app is a real turkey. Extremely p****d off.
When doorbell is pressed there is no push notification to phone. You must have the app open, not in the background, in order to receive notification that someone is at your door. Initial pairing is also flawed as android disconnects from basestation hot spot during pairing as there is no internet. This can be manually overcome but there is no guidance within the app on how to do this.
I don't receive notifications anymore from the app and it can't gain authorisation from google when I try to sign into the google push service via the silvercrest app during set up. For some reason I no longer get a picture from the doorbell over 4g either. It works fine over wifi and 3g or slower but no longer over 4g. I contacted the manufacturer and they blamed an issue with my phone or network but everything else is working fine. I've tried reinstalling the app with no joy Please fix.
Currently - unable to connect the unit to my WiFi. Followed the instructions fully step by step several times, but no luck! I've contacted my ISP to check if my WiFi Router is 2, 2.4 or 5Ghz. They confirmed my router is 2.4Ghz so should be compatible with this Video Doorbell. My ISP suggest the Firewall on Router may be set too high so after a few more checks and trying out on friends WiFi, they may have to send me a new WiFi Router with a lower Firewall setting. Why do I have to do all this?!
A very good piece of equipment and works really well. Could with being able to turn push notifications off movement or be able to adjust the movement sensitivity, to say movement has to be present for x amount of seconds till it notifies you. Other than that, very good
Trash. Like so many other reviews state installation is ridiculously difficult and the delay between someone ringing the doorbell and you receiving any kind of notification renders it utterly useless, if I could rate it 0 stars I would.
Reaction time just gets worse with every app update. Please sort this out! Also is there a way to adjust the motion setting as a bird can set it off! Making this function useless as it just goes off all the time.
23/12/19 Bell will self-ring continuesly if wet during heavy rainy weather. Very disconcerting at 3:30am ! 14/11/19: Despite following all your advice, found it only reacts if phone is unlocked or I am actually working on it. Otherwise no reaction when bell rings. Aug 2019 A) Reaction time on phone after door bell is rung is sometimes delayed or too slow. B) Occasionally nothing happens at all - doorbell rings, but no action on the phone at all. C) If above are corrected it would be perfect.
The doorbell and app are OK. Good quality pictures and sound but often the app doesn't ring on my phone for 10 or 15 minutes, by which time the caller has gone!
Delayed ring on phone when doorbell wrung by upto ten minutes!! Cannot find a way to get a custom ringtone - it rings the same as a call!! This app needs a severe update to render these problems. Its definitely not a RING by any comparison!! Please sort these issues with the software/firmware.
I do not receive notifications when door bell button is pressed. Other features are ok. But without notifications, will be sending it back
The app itself is great however it's pretty useless as my phone only rings after the person has left the door. Seriously delayed. Disappointing. Wouldn't recommend.
Update. Contacted LIDL Customer Service and Targa GMBH over 2 weeks ago and received ticket numbers from both. No further contact or assistance. So returned product for a refund, which to be fair was given with no quible. The app won't open, stopping at an error message. Waiting for customer service to contact me. Not a happy teddy.
Set it up in 5 minutes and works fine, ensure you go to WiFi settings and click on silvercrest to add it to your WiFi connection then press both buttons on the plug for 5 seconds. Anyone stuck with theirs comment and ill help
Cannot register the button is still half intensity . Yes I put numbers letters special characters 15 in total and ticked the I agree box.
You dont get notified if the phone screen Is locked, you will only know if someone has pressed the bell when you unlock the phone screen. Has anyone found a work around for this yet? Is there an app I can install to force my phone to unlock when someone presses the doorbell?
My wife and I couldn't even register an account on the App using two different phones and details. Complete rubbish it's probably why Lidl is flogging them off for £20
Purchased FEB 8 2020 WORKS PERFECT. Lots of bad reviews... Don't know why. Everything works great so far. Will update in few weeks.
If it is so difficult to register, what will it be like to use after, frustrating, may return the doorbell.

The app won't open and just says webpage not available. So after purchasing this item I cannot use it.
Horrible experience. One to AVOID. App hangs even on very high end smart phones on very reliable mobile internet service. It is just a bad product. After a while using it, I was unable to access its settings or if I do, app hangs when you try to access the recorded videos. I tried everything: uninstalling it / reinstalling it a few times. It works for a bit then back to square one. I even changed its SD card twice. Bottom line this is a waste of time and especially waste of money
