Does not work at all on Pixel 2 XL. The concept is good, but would work much better with audible frequencies which all phones can generate. And surely you would implement commands to make it moved forward, backwards, left and right? Could even make it execute a programmable sequence, great for teaching programming concepts. There's so much potential let down by the poor app.
------ Finally got it working in a consistent manner ------ First of all, it uses sound frequency to control the robot, not bluetooth, so turn up your speaker and make sure you're not in a noisy environment. Second of all, the robot is constantly alternating between 3 states: Random actions (moving and making sounds), waiting to repeat your words (may vary with your toy) and waiting for the app (the eyes are not blinking, no sounds). THE APP WILL WORK ONLY DURING THIS STATE! Have fun!
Doesn't work. Firstly, the app communicates via sound which isn't explained at all. Secondly, all the sounds are identical so not sure how they expect a different result. In my experience, none of the sounds had any effect on the pokibot even at full volume. This toy is worse than a furby that was released over 20 years ago.
A limited and almost useless application. To make it work had to hold the phone about 1 foot away. All it did was offer six program dance moves that last about 10 seconds each. WOW! Adds nothing to the user experience of the toy.
the app description claims that it enables the robot control. Nope. the app doesn't connect to the toy. It doesn't look like there is any communication interface available on toy itself. The first hint should be that there are no instructions on how to connect to the robot. Google doesn't bring any useful info. Found a toy review video, but the author also wasn't able to connect to the robot.
Does not work at all, despite the speakers' volume being set to the max. Tried it with two different phones, and quite high-end ones at that. What a waste of time.
Useless. In the history of useless apps, this one should be rated highly. As a control for a Pokibot...it does nothing. All of the app buttons make the same sound, to which the robot does not respond. I wish I had read reviews before purchasing the robot for my daughter. Absolutely useless.
App works as advertised. Good to see it doesn't claim to need any resources, so its very privacy-safe code. Thumbs up there! Also I experienced some problems caused by a faulty set of batteries. This app's dev actually helped me getting it back on its feet. Thanks dude! All working fine now. :)
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't work, but over all it works. And i Would recommend a new update to make the connection between the robots and the apo better great app keep up the good work.
I'm pretty sure this doesn't work. every button I push makes the same sound and the robot is unresponsive to these sounds apparently.
I have a pokibot and got this app for it. It looked really unpromising from the moment I got it. It only lets the boy dance and it never works. Don't download this if you're expecting it to work
Very poor you can't do hardly anything and if you're controlling two at the same time u don't know which one you're controlling.I'd recommend Anki,Vektor or Cozmo instead
It's not getting updates anymore. The robot in itself is malfunctioning straight from the box and the app doesnt connect to the robot. I'm not a tech noob
App is a joke and a toy (Pokibot) is also really bad. My daughter got it for Christmas and we are all pretty disappointed. Basically it is worthless, you can play with it 5-10mins and thats it :/
Useless App. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. A screen with some buttons. Does not connect to the robot so absolutley pointless app. DO NOT DOWNLOAD.
I love it! I know it has to be programmed and it takes some time for it to understand. I have MazeBreaker and even if the app makes the same sounds, it works. I tottaly reccomend if you have patience. Just to know, it sometimes dances instead of going front, left, right or back.
I really really like this fun and entertaining game. If I was you I would play it with your children. Get together and play with your children. it would bring joy and happiness so please get this app. Thank you for reading my review.
Hey SilverLit ™, you're copying a lot of Wowwee robots. Inspiration is took by Wowwee? The original plan was by Wowwee™. Still, I have MacroBot but it's cool. But anyways this app is useless.. only for the dances but ok.. you can still use the controller. Anyways, I'm planning to get a Wowwee robot to have 2 similar robots. I even made a bed for MacroBot! Now they will sleep together like friends. The 5 Stars are for the robot! :)
The app offers nor does nothing "extra fun" to operate these robots. We received the Maze and Neo robots, with this app not managing to do anything for the bots. I think we will stick to the instruction leaflet...
using ultra sonic sound they said. I already put my phone very near to my maze breaker but nothing happepned. dissapointing.
Poor app. Really poor. Irresponsive. Uninstall the same day!
It is really working with the robot. Actually it makes sounds and the robot is executing moves, like dancing.
the toy is funny for kids. the application is not adding value. i recomend the toy. aplication need massive improvements.
Great 👌 but the problem is that there is only a little bit of options compared to the toy's remote😒
the app doesnt have the same amount of controlling as the remote and it is useless
Great idea, sadly it's ruined by bad implementation. It produces the same sound for all buttons, except for group dance. The robot (path breaker) usually ignores it, but sometimes does a random action. The defferent sound of group dance button does the job, but not every time. Probably it works properly on some phones, which can produce certain frequency, but not on mine (Samsung Note 8). Would be absolutely great product with app control. But since it is totaly broken - I don't recomend it.
