Simon Tatham's Puzzles

Excellent selection of classic, old school puzzles, with unlimited variations, and levels of difficulty from very easy to mind-bogglingly difficult. No ads, no annoying "music" (no sound at all in fact, which is very welcome), and totally free. Oh, and devilishly addictive, especially Flood. I would give it more stars if I could. Just brilliant!

Great and addicting collection of logic games. Infinitely replayable because levels are randomly generated. Suggestion for update: add option to disable the visual clues (red numbers and lines for example) that indicate an error, to level up the challenge! I don't want clues to help me, discovering mistakes by yourself is more satisfying

this is the only thing i ever really play on my phone anymore. it's part of my nightly routine to just solve puzzles until i start to drift off. by this point, it'd throw me off completely to not have these logic puzzles to solve anymore. there's so many unique ones and it's all in a stress-free, ad-free, bare-bones minimalist environment. you can just focus on the puzzles, which almost every other puzzle game on the market would distract from. i would PAY for this experience, and yet its free.

I've been using this app for years and absolutely love it. I can't recommend this enough to anyone who loves puzzles. Every puzzle has a very succinct and complete explanation on how to play, as well as going as far as explaining the parameters of the custom games that you can make on your own! Want to make a puzzle that's 500 times as large as its hardest default difficulty? Go for it. If your phone has the processing power it can make it. It's the only puzzle app you'll ever need.

This is one of the best games around. Sure, some puzzles are confusing and could use better controls or more succinct instructions, but there are a lot to choose from and most of them are really great. No annoying ads at all, which is just amazing! And sure, some people might not like the graphical style of the game, but it's just really simple and nothing distracts you from the game itself.

Lots of varied puzzles for every taste, well-designed interface, no intrusive monetization (in fact, no monetization of any kind). Puzzles are generated on the fly by the app, which could be a downside for those who prefer curated puzzles, but I find the generated puzzles pretty good, and there are usually plenty of knobs to tune the difficulty for exactly the challenge you want; plus, generated puzzles means you can play forever without exhausting the supply.

Favorite game in the app store. No ads, great functionality, have never run into a problem. They just added a new game, and it's just as good as the rest of them. The only thing that I don't love is that many of the puzzles dont use the name they are generally known by. That being said, because every puzzle is worth playing, you quickly learn the names the game uses and it isn't a problem. Love the app and would give it 6 stars if I could.

Absolutely love this suite of games. I've been playing these puzzles for years now, and they're just as satisfying to complete today as they were in 2017. No ads getting in the way, no "limited attempts", just a focused puzzle experience for you to learn from.

Fantastic collection of pencil puzzles that have kept me entertained on many a train trip. As far as auto generated puzzles go it doesn't get better than this. The interface is clean and simple and the puzzles offer the option to play custom sizes and different difficulties.

It's good but the algorithms or whatever could use a lot of work. In minesweeper I'll have multiple moments in a single round where I have to guess to proceed. In inertia I could get trapped very easily in larger maps. Everything else is fantastic.

Amazing app. It has an incredible variety of puzzles, and all of them are great. You can modify difficulty/size for each one to customize them to your taste. Would 100% recommend to anybody who enjoys logic puzzles.

Best puzzle app! It's got all my favourite puzzles. Lots of different puzzles with so many ways to customize them. No unnecessary junk. Uses very little battery. I love the new game added with the most recent update.

Love this app, full of games and doesn't take a lot of memory. Unfortunately they took an important feature on the last update, the ability to not use your internal memory and put it on an SD card. A shame.

So grateful to the creator of this game! No ads, unlimited games, customizable, great variety of games, and difficulty levels ranging from relaxing to really hard! Best game app ever!

Honestly the best game in the app store. No ads, infinite enjoyment. I play the slant game while listening to audiobooks and school readings to help me focus.

All of my favorite puzzles, for free with no ads and no unnecessary battery drain. Love having something to play when its a 5 hours drive and your battery is at 13%.

Fun, but it doesn't appear possible to save Solo games. Update: Thanks! It saves now and can be loaded from the game menu!

If you're looking for an actually free (no ads or in-app purchases) game, this is a straightforward, just-lets-you-have-your-own-fun collection of a bunch of puzzle games. Some might miss the feeling of progression from gaining levels, unlocking things, etc. since this just gives you everything right out of the gate, but honestly, I see that as a selling point. I got the app, lemme play the app.

This is literally the best puzzles game I've ever tried in my life. The only possible way you could improve it is by addig more puzzles, other than that it's perfect: 1) You can save a game so you can play whenever you want 2) You can undo and redo moves in case you do a mistake 3) All modes have some sort of feature to organize yourself mentally before doing a move 4) You can have multiple games running at once 5) It uses no memory 6) Super customizable And on tip of all of that it has ZERO ADS

A very welcome addition to the options for playing Simon Tatham's veteran collection of games. The website versions don't work well on mobile, but this app absolutely makes up for that, working intuitively with touch devices and keeping the retro feel for lightning response. Not all the games are unforgettable classics, but enough are to make this well worth the tiny download, and really will give your brain a workout all those moronic games we get bombarded with clickbait for can only dream of.

This is the best entertainment app I've used. It's exactly what I was looking for but couldn't find until now. It's completely free, no ads, challenging but not impossible, with a great variety of puzzles that don't drain your battery like the games with fancy graphics. I've received no benefit for this review. It's just a fantastic app!

Instructions are insufficient to understand how to play some of the games. Otherwise it is fun.
