Simple Alarm Clock Free No Ads

Save yourself headaches, this app has some MAJOR problems! First & foremost: The alarm only works when it's open! It's even more worthless than the one that came as part of the "System", that won't work if the phone is in standby. Secondly: It's taking over a minute to get the volume up to a point that it can be heard. Last, but not least: In the "Send a bugreport" section of the menu, it says to "...send a msg in the space below..." but there's nothing there...

1st: I love love love this alarm, had it for yrs, always trusted it! Unfortunately, since my recent android update, it has failed to go off almost every other day. I uninstalled and reinstalled, but is still buggy. I don't want another alarm but can't trust this one anymore after sleeping in too many times. I am hoping some fixes can help me keep it. Until then, I will not uninstall, but have turned off all alarms and will be using a different one in hopes I can use this one again. Help

Been using for years, but after 2 failed alarms it has to go. I have 1 time set and turn it on every week night. Twice it has failed to go off and the alarm shows as turned on but the time is 23 hours from going off. Not trusting it anymore. Uninstalling and trying something else or just using stock alarm.

Great alarm app done with care, no anti-features and unnecessary permissions. And most importantly it is FOSS GPL3 licensed. Used to replace google bloatware alarm/clock app which comes with my phone. Giving it 4 stars because it lacks the ability to set alarm to a specific date in the future ( I.e to alarm me once in a month ahead or so). Promise to buy the pro version to support the devs and update my ranking as soon as this feature is added (i see in GitHub tracker it is on the roadmap).

I have ntg to say, these simple and easy features speak by themselves. As i am an heavy sleeper i must keep continuos alarms, but its too time consuming in the default alarm setter. This apo is an exception on all the queries i have for any alarm apps. What are looking at, download it now, thank me later.

Was my favorite till I realized it stopped ringing. Alarm does not go on. Seen it was updated going to try it again. Hope it's fixed, I'll re edit if it is . Update : alarm worked great, went on dismiss worked did not have to shut phone off. So pleased, thank you.

It's a 100% free app with no ads, and it works well. You set the alarm by pressing number buttons instead of using rotating dials, which I like. Trouble is, the on-screen keypad is not very responsive, so you have to type slowly, otherwise your keypresses will be lost. This is a very annoying little problem that, sadly, diminishes the user experience. UPDATE: after using the app for several months, it suddenly started failing intermittently by not sounding the alarm. Hope it's fixed soon.

The time input as a number pad is so much better than wasting time spinning wheels. I can't believe people still do that and that Apps haven't changed! This app seems to work great without unnecessary over the top graphics or fancy stuff. I love the clean simple look, and it's compact so can see all my alarms on one page. It would actually be nice to have an option to make it even more compact. And would like to select exact number of minutes for pre-alarm and snooze (1 to 500+)

Simple Alarm Clock is a great app! The best thing about it is that you can actually pick from a selection of sounds and have any alarm, including ones that span over multiple days, sound like that! On my old alarm app, I always got confused between my ringtone and alarm if I had anything except the boring default sound, but I don't anymore! It's awesome! You should definitely look into this app.

Loved the features and ability to use my own files for alarms and it has great ability to adjust the fade in to slowly wake me up. However it has failed to go off 4 times. It randomly crashes and indicates that the alarm is still set but no longer leaves an icon on the pull down menu. That is the only indication that it has crashed and the alarm won't go off. Only an uninstall and reinstall fixes it. I can't rely on it and can no longer recommend it.

Have had this alarm for a long time and have always loved it. It is a simple alarm that is easy to snooze. However, lately, the alarm will go off with no visual means of stopping it. I will have to restart my phone to get the alarm to stop. If this bug is fixed, I would give it 5 stars. - UPDATE - I uninstalled then reinstalled the app. It appears to be working great now!

FINALLY! An app that gets it. After more than a year of trying to find an alarm app that won't disrupt other phone functions or turn itself off, I found it! Huge variety of wake up sounds, easy to set, and hard to accidentally dismiss (you have to long press the dismiss button). This is a great app. Thank you!

App functions fine, but i am disappointed with recent update. previous, tapping anywhere on an alarm entry would bring up the number pad to set new alarm time- simple, functional. now, if i don't y'all precisely on the current time, it pulls up the all sounds, not the number pad. this is a pointless and annoying change. combine that with the new, thin font and my satisfaction has decreased to the point i am looking for another app.

This is the best of the six open source alarm apps I tried. It has been reliable in ~6 years of use. My favorite feature is the numeric keypad for setting alarm times, which is much faster than the clock sliders in most apps. I also like the display of hours and minutes until the next alarm, which reassures me that I got AM/PM right. Tip: the Classic layout in Settings prevents annoying mis-taps by moving the alarm on/off switch to not be right next to the edit alarm tap area.

Timely went to pot completely with Android. The alarm no longer worked unless the screen was active, and not at all if the phone was in do not disturb. The bog standard Android one is worse than useless Simple Alarm Clock works perfectly, has nice settings options, it can use your own tones. Simple to use, simple interface including dark mode. It is now my alarm and will be for the foreseable future. A widget would be nice one day with different layouts. Thanks for this app.

Has options other alarm apps do not. I really like that there's a preliminary alarm BEFORE the actual alarm. I set the volume much much lower than the other. This helps me not have to wake up feeling like it's Christmas morning when I was a child. That anxiety is the WORST to wake to. Best alarm clock I've found. Can set diff sounds for diff alarms, volume for each alarm and a label for each alarm. I set a lot of diff alarms for diff things so having those options is great. I had a prob after an update and emailed dev and got a very prompt response. Dev was aware of issue and sd to uninstall and reinstall and that would solve the prob. It did. Better yet all of my alarms were still there! I thought I'd have to set all new alarms.

Love that it's ad free. I like the dark theme, the pre-alarm, large snooze button and hold-to-stop option. But pre-alarm and snooze increments are too restrictive. Also, vibration doesn't work at all and pre-alarm simply keeps the screen on for tens of minutes afaict. Hope these will be fixed soon

It worked great at first. No ads, too good to be true? Then after a while one day I wake up to a warning by my phone that this app has been draining the app way more than any other. And it has literally no alarms on, the app has no business working, so what the hell. Its use has been going slowly up with the weeks, so this might have some really shady stuff inside. Just to be safe I uninstalled it

Gemerally still good BUT the new interface to edit an alarm time is buggy. If you dont touch the current alarm in the exact center you go into the more extended edit screen selecting ring tone etc. Trying to edit just in a hurry you dont need this extra dialogue. Confine the touch area for extended dialbgue more clearly. Only touching the tripple dots (right) should give you this dialogue. .. Not touching slightly low or off center in the main screen area. This used to be no problem.

I like it, it works great. Only thing that saddens me is that it ALWAYS sets volume to some level and disables vibration. I am deaf, audio is completely worthless to me. Can it be set to zero audio and permanently vibration on please? It would be more useful for me. Being asked to enable audio few times in row was really annoying, so are asking for me to set ringtone to anything besides "NONE" which is what I set mine to since ringtone is useless for me. It's very simple alarm app. No ads, no nothing. Very good indeed, besides the issue above.

I've used this alarm for years, & I love it. This is an updated review because there was a problem that happened with an app update but they fixed it and I reinstalled it and I am once again very happy with this app. Thank you. Only thing I miss since the update is being able to type the hour like "7" and then pressing AM without having to also type the "00" but that is a minor thing my muscle memory will eventually remember. Thanks for fixing the app!

Spoke too soon thought it was a great app but it didn't go off at all this morning. Has the same issue as my phones clock, I got this clock so I wouldn't have to deal with this

Superb Alarm Clock! Free. No ads. Complete set of features. Set one-time alarms or repeat weekly. Love that alarm begins softly, then increases volume. No jolting wakeups. Clear, simple, intuitive controls. I have used it for 2 years and am very happy with it.

This is THE BEST app for recurring alarms! Been using it since Android 4.2 & everything has always worked exactly as expected.

Simple and straightforward. Would like to see the following features: * Configurable per alarm: alarm sound, alarm ringing time, snooze time, # alarm repeats. * One time alarms for a specific date (no weekly repeats). I used to have a Samsung phone and its alarm clock was excellent (also included timer & stopwatch). Now I have a Xiaomi, and I can't find any alarm clock app as useful, friendly, and intuitive as the Samsung stock app.
