Simple Audiobook Player

I really love how simple the interaction with app. Indeed the philosophy behind this app is to avoid the clutter wherever possible. It worked with my headphone Bluetooth controller. You don't need to get the full version to enjoy it but I believe buying is one the ways of supporting good stuff like this.

Extremely utilitarian design, but it works like a charm. I tried another 3 apps and they all had terrible output quality when playing at enhanced speeds, I had no such problems here. The notification widget is not the best, and there's no option to customize the intervals it jumps through. Solid app, 5 stars for the audio experience. Shame I couldn't test it in the free version, but I'm happy with the purchase.

Checked out a number of audiobook players. This one is sweet, meets or surpasses all my needs in a player, most excellent app. Proud to pay for the full version, and thanks to the developers for a solid, easy-to-use book player. The equalizer is a nice touch, btw -- adjust vocal timbre to the mood and the story. Lot of apps on my phone that I rarely or never use. This one will stay quite busy.

Whaaaaaaat??? The free version WAS my favorite player for lectures and audiobooks. But I found out that this can play faster than 1x. So... Now this is my new favorite! 😄😄😄 I installed and THIS player picked up where I left off on the free version. Didn't have to do anything extra, everything carried over. The app design is clean, simple user friendly and while it looks like it lacks features that's deceptive because it has almost everything you could need for audiobooks. THANK YOU DEVS!!!

I've used a lot of audiobook and podcast apps, and this is so much better than any I've ever used. It's minimalism done right. I really don't need the player screen to have the cover photo, and I just absolutely love the ability to change the skip buttons depending on context. It's amazing that the free version of a $2 app can be better than Audible's app, but hey, this definitely is. Worth the $2 just to support the programmer.

Perfect, does exactly what it says on the tin. Absolutely no bloating. Upgrading from free version is a breeze, every setting and progression is remembered and free version will automatically uninstalls when you reopen it. Excellent additional features, like automatically going back a second or two when a notification plays. No advanced setup required. Didn't need the extra features of the paid version, I just use it so much and love it, the dev deserves at least the two bucks.

This app was obviously made by someone who considers functionality and usability to be of the utmost importance. This app is so much more smartly arranged than all the others I've tried. I really appreciate the clean and straightforward interface. Minor complaints (five stars even with them): The simple monochrome UI is great but my eyes sometimes struggle to read the text. I don't know if it's my old eyes or the giant pictures with normal sized text... It would also be really nice if the book progression (as displayed in the app, which is awesome) was displayed the same way in Android Auto. Not sure if that's even possible though. Again the app is so smart it was a no-brainer to buy. Thanks for thinking through every aspect of what a good app should be like, when so many people do not.

Simple and fab. Have just paid for the full version, not because I needed to, but because I wanted to support the developers. The free version did everything I needed it to (and with no ads!) but went for the full version. Was having so much hassle listening to audio books with other players, but this just works.. What more can you ask for really? 👍😊

A great utilitarian audiobook player. There was a little bit of a learning curve, but once I got it all figured out I got to say, I love it. I've tried a handful of other audiobook apps and was constantly wanting better functionality while being simple to use. It's not flashy, yet does everything you need. Also, I emailed the app customer service with a functionality question and received an answer in less than an hour.

Having tried many book players over the past few years and settled with two primary players because of options, I have finally found perfection in functionality in this player. I cannot find any fault at all while putting it through its paces. The icing on the cake might be to have a permanent book cover display option for all books , but if this request might hamper functionality, then forget my suggestion. Well Done to the author of a great product!

Lightweight and ad-free, easy to use. I use it for my podcasts and it's excellent. Buttons on screen big enough to use easily while driving and surprisingly configurable. All in all a pretty good app. Also, and unusually, the app offers a pre-amp finally fixing the too-quiet connection to many Bluetooth players/speakers. That feature alone is worth gold. I bought the paid version just because I was so pleased with the free version!

I have used many audiobook players in the past but none of those I use for long. I love the app simplicity and yet feature-packed. The bookmark system is awesome. The rewind and forward function are helpful navigational tool. Of course, the dark mode makes its simolicity shines. And it has the ability to disable cover in lockscreen. Amazingly simple and fully functional audiobook player with all the features I need.

Love the options. I really like being able to set the playback speed and being able to set up a default speed. But, I sometimes like to just shut it off, not just pause, and the only way I see is to open up the app and select exit. Is there an easy way to do this? Samsung S7. Correction: Yeap, there is. Sort of. On mine, which I didn't see before, there is a little down arrow, once I touch that the X is visable. Not exactly what I was looking for, but certainly better than before. Thanks

Awesome Little Book Reader. An uncomplicated book reader that does what it says on the tin. Buy the pro version for speed tools. The interface looks basic but at the same time it's very powerful, uncluttered and easy to use. Try the free version first, you won't be disappointed. Highly recommended.

I like the bookmark feature very much. The equalizer sounds great. Other features are also easy to use and simple GUI is excellent. Many file formats are supported (even .mp4, .mkv etc.), so seamless play of audio of video files is possible. One player for all audio needs. The configurable step forward / backward feature is also very helpful. The pre-amplifier is great for low audio files. File delete feature makes it easy to remove unwanted / done files easily without leaving the application. Overall an Excellent App !!!

Best Audio Player! Best for reviewing class audio. My only suggestion is to create the ability to long press the in app seek buttons to change the amount of time we can seek rather than going through a few additional steps in settings options. Also a repeat A and B option would be good too. As long as you leave the seek buttons large, that in part is what makes this app frustration free.

This app is awesome and such a pleasure to use. The interface design is very clear and has nice big buttons for frequent actions. The features are great and very intuitive. And the app is built very well - it's super fast and responsive. I use this every day for my language lessons and love it. I'd happily pay triple the price for it.

Honestly near perfect. It looks fantastic. Tons and tons of great features. Speed settings, easy to switch between books, great color scheme let's you save battery, looks clean, multiple skip settings. Only problem is that timed pauses have to be set each time (for if you fall asleep) instead of automatically.

This is exactly what it says... "simple", however it has all the features you need. Thank you for providing both a free application and paid-for application. I could have used the free application and been just fine, however how much I use this app and how well it works, you deserve to take my money! Keep up the great work! In response to a previous review regarding this app not supporting wma, if this is even still an issue, you can simply convert the wma to mp3 and be good to go!

Nearly perfect. The interface is rich and so much easier to use than all other audiobook apps. One small nitpick is that it would be really nice to set a specific amount of time to replay after pausing a book.
