Simple is amazing. Their app is great. I would give 5 stars, but there are a few issues. 1: No automatic bill pay is really annoying. It's ok, but having to write physical checks in the mail isn't ideal 2: It loses my credentials periodically. Kind of annoying 3: I can't change my username once set, which is mostly ok, but I wish I would have known that it can't be changed later

Have had Simple for 4 or 5 years now. Overall, really like it. However, a recent update to the display of the Expenses feature makes it very difficult to tell when you've reached your expense amount for the month, and what money might be in the expense for the following month. The amounts all seem to be off compared to the dates they should be ready. Not sure where else to put this feedback but I hope they change it back to the way it was before.

Love it but... simple has been a game changer for me getting a hold of my bills. I havent missed or been late on anything since using it (2 years). The downside is that I've had 2 instances of fraud, and they wouldn't cover me. Their customer service is also horribly slow to respond. Because of this, I'm looking for a new bank, but their budgeting part seems to be proprietary.

I've been very disappointed with the Simple app and web interface. Neither are very intuitive or user-friendly. It's taken a lot of time to set up and requires redundant tasks. For example, my partner entered all our bill pay vendors for our shared account. I can see them, but can't access any of them to schedule payments. I have to enter them all again in my account for access. Simple could be much more attentive to efficient user experience. This app definitely doesn't simplify anything.

Love this app for personal banking, but most of all how well it helps me save money for both goals and expenses. Its very customizable and user friendly! The only cons are that you cannot pay bills online and money transfers between all my other accounts take more time than most others. Hoping the next one is very the same, minus the cons and maybe I won't have to find a different bank altogether.

i do not like the fact that the bill pay is going away. I still do enjoy simple and have had it for 4 years. Never had any issues with customer support. On occasion purchases and deposits take a little bit to show up on the account but I assume that realistically is something that will happen with all forms of technology. I see in other reviews people have had issues. I personally have not which is good. It has been very convenient for me and useful.

I've had nothing but a great experience with Simple. Easy to use, love the tips and ability to set goals. Love that there are no fees. The only time I've had an issue has been when I've had to deposit a large check or tried linking to certain accounts (like an investment account when they would not recognize it ), but if you're an average banker it's the perfect way to go.

Simple is easy to use and I love how they tell what my "safe to spend" balance is rather than my actual balance. I also love the goals and how easy it is to save my money because of the round up feature! The only time I've ever been frustrated is the one time I had to call customer service for help. The wait time to speak to someone was outrageous and annoying, but when I was able to finally speak to someone, she was super awesome which more than made up for the wait!!

Love the bank so far. The ability to set aside money by goals/expenses is brilliant and exactly what I was looking for. This makes it so very convenient to budget. Although - I thought the money sitting in goals/expenses would be technically in the savings account earning interest, which isn't the case. The interface itself has a learning curve, took me awhile to get comfortable with it. But I'm really happy managing my money here overall.

A great bank and app. I love the goals feature, and being able to instant transfer between other simple users is awesome. Their customer service is great both in the chat and on the phone. My only complaint is that the "expenses" feature isn't as easy or intuitive as it could be. It could use a little more development and fine tuning. I have effectively used it, but I still feel a little confused and constrained when picking the spending/saving schedule

Simple has some really nice features like setting goals for things I want to save up for, the ability to budget monthly expenses, and see exactly what money is safe to spend so I don't cut into bill money. Main gripe with the app is that from time to time, it will bug out and not accept my password, so I have to reset the password to get it to work.

This bank app used to be great. I've been a Simple customer for years. Customer service always addressed any issues almost immediately, I had very few probelms with them. However, a week ago, I was charged twice on two separate purchases which resulted in overdrafts of over $100. I have contacted customer service three times now with no replies. Absolutely nothing. I'm now in this weird limbo with rent rapidly approaching. I plan on closing my account when/of this issue is resolved.

Best bank ever! Transitioning to BBVA has made me really upset. Simple's goals were the best, allowing me to pay bills on time/early, helping me to reduce debt, and not overspend. If I could find another bank that did the same, I'd switch in a heartbeat. BBVA has goals, but only one per checking/savings, not the way Simple had it. I really do miss Simple T.T

Below average. No fees great but you'll pay in other ways. Unless you have an expensive phone with professional digital camera quality, you will struggle with mobile check deposits because flash is not allowed, and even with perfect lighting conditions, expect to retake tons of pictures to get a clear image. Even then your check may still get rejected and you may have to mail it. On top of that major inconvenience you can't write checks on it which takes the "checking" out of checking accounts.

Broken UI One Plus 7pro, in the Goals section when I tap to open one of my active goals the "progress bar" is at the very bottom of my device, and I cannot see the pause/resume, make transfer text buttons. The only way to "make a transfer" is to delete the goal all together. It's been like this for over two months, I thought it was a bad update, but it has persisted none the less. Giving this a 3 until later.

It shows transactions immediately, which is fantastic. It doesn't have bill pay and I'm not a fan of having other people pulling money out of my account. The reports could be a lot better. It's just a graph or a list of transactions. You can't drill down in categories. You can't search by dollar amount. The protected goals are a good feature. It would be nice if it had more than just basic savings and emergencies, and allowed a particular goal.

I loved the Simple app and used its budgeting features heavily! Now that it's gone, I have been struggling to find even one app that could compare to what I could do with Simple. This makes me realize how unique and ahead of its time the Goal features were, and I wish I could go back to my beloved Simple app! Also, BBVA is completely mishandling the transfer and I am now looking for a new bank as well.

Amazing bank. Amazing app. Amazing service. I am a very organized person and this bank lets me manage my money very easily within the app. I have everything set up automatically to budget as soon as my paycheck comes in. High savings rate is a plus too. And if you ever have any issues, their service is prompt, efficient, and consistently so. Honestly the best service I've ever had. Zero complaints!

It logs me out from time to time and I have to reauthenticate fingerprints and pin, etc. Not sure if that's intentional. Also, for my savings goal photo, it won't let me update the picture! I select a new photo and refresh several times, log out of the app and back in, etc., and it just keeps showing an old photo I had selected. Minor but annoying, please fix. Thanks.

I've had Simple since they were originally invite only and have never had an issue. The app itself is super user friendly and capable of a lot of things. Simple as a bank is also great and their customer service is top notch. The loss of having them mail checks for bill pay recently was pretty big loss for me but there are other methods out there. Also you wont be able to deposit cash with Simple but I have never had a reason to ever need to deposit cash so its not really a big deal for me.

Love the goals and expenses!! Only negative experience I have had is that they are unable to activate cards. I had poor internet connection and couldn't activate my card. Representative told me to activate it the next time I was at Starbucks. In the past, with other banks, I have the option to call an automated system or a representative to activate cards. Otherwise, I love this bank!! They are continuously adding new features that help with budgeting. Plus, their interest rates are good.

It's a good app, and really enjoy the budgeting tools built in. Only been using it for a short time, but everything seems to work good and I have had zero bugs. However, I really wish you could see your total account balance as well as the "safe to spend" amount, without having to add up all your expenses. Why is this not a thing already? We should be able to easily see the total amount of money in our account! Once that is available I will feel comfortable giving this app 5 stars.

Overall, good software. This is why I still use Simple. my main gripe is thay they removed the Bill Pay feature, so I now have to do a weird workaround to pay my auto loan. This is still a very standard feature, and it wasn't a good idea to get rid of it so soon, in my opinion. Some things in this app, like protected goals, are also confusing and unnecessarily complicated to use. Sometimes it feels like I'm serving the app, not the other way around.

Don't waste your time (or money). This bank is the literal worst. I deposited a check a week ago (7 days now!!) and am STILL waiting for it to clear. There is no real way to deposit cash and they have now removed the bill pay feature, for some unexplicible reason. I didn't use my account for a while and was unable to access it when I went to use it. They had deactivated it without even notifying me! I had to jump through hoops to have it restored. There are far better online banks out there!

Though rates are constantly dropping they still manage to be among the best out there. I love the features, improvements never seem to ruin the whole app like others. I will mention that whenever I recommend Simple and have to go through the long process of convincing people they can never seem to sign up. They always come back to me saying there was a problem so they'll use something else.
