Simple Calendar

Very simple to use. It has options to give a notification days or minutes before your event and is very consistent about reliability. I've received my notifications before the event consistently. I don't miss events. I've even been able to enter memos to myself about a certain day. Very reliable. Thank you, Simple Calendar. Sincerely, Janet

Works super fine! No matter how many events and alerts you save, it never crashes! They won't collect your data like google calendar and others, but NEVER show you ads! I guess they profit from the premium version, but free version allows you to save as many events as you want, with title and (looong)descriptions, set the time you want, even if you have other events saved for the same time, set a color for every event category, and there's a snooze option when you get the notification.

I like the app so far, but can't seem to change the colour of the reminders after it's been set? Also is there any way of seeing an individual day as a column with times displayed down the side, so when you add an event you can visually see a chunk of colour in the day indicating when you are busy and when you are free? Instead of relying on the written time only. I hope that makes sense

I use this app for basic calendar that does not tie into the Google ecosystem. It does the job pretty well. Adding events to the calendar is pretty straightforward. Some of the buttons do not default to where I'd hope to make the experience really fast. But most importantly, the app is mostly not offensive. It's nice plain and basic for the people who want to schedule things and get reminders. I'm a basic dude and this is a basic calendar. Five stars.

I loved this app. It was great - super simple, no annoying ads, and I could customize all the colors to keep things organized. Then, it just disappeared one day, taking my schedule with it. The app closed, the icon on my home screen was gone, and the only option under my app list in the settings was to uninstall. It was just what I wanted, but I have to give it one star, since I can't use it. I could reinstall, but I don't trust it now and write everything in a physical planner instead.

This is a very good application and the capability to divide the entries into types is extremely useful. However, as I'm coming from using the native Huawei calendar, I can't help but notice the glaring inability to change the daily display to card-like entities that can be dragged and dropped to change the time (the list is okay but this is a must in my opinion). Hopefully, it can be added in a future version.

Great App overall. However there is a problem with notifications. None of the event reminders are working. Not the preset ones like "4 hours before" or custom. The custom ones also don't say "before". They just say for example "1 day". So I think there needs to be a whole new function with reminders and notifications. As I think past updates tried to fix this.

Really love this app. It's just minimal enough. The widget is perfect too. It took me a long time to find one that wasn't some google calendar reskin. I don't like putting everything on the cloud or sharing with people or syncing or whatever. I just want to have a simple, clean calendar on my homescreen that I can pop little events into and this app lets me do that. I've been using it for ages and it's stable and reliable af. Hope it never leaves the app store.

Nice free app that works great. My only complaint is that sometimes when I open it, the schedule shows empty. I have to close the app and open it again for it to work properly. It's only a minor nuisance. Also I'd suggest adding drag and drop for events. I'm a teacher and I constantly need to change my classes half an hour ahead or behind. Drag and drop would really help me

I would rate this app a 10 if possible. I never had any problems forgetting an appointment/special event. Easy to use, sets in with time clock reminders. Don't need to change phone settings which is a plus. Easy instructions to follow. Best not to change anything. As for a free service, this couldn't be any better. I have tried other apps, hard to figure out or bad instructions. Thanks team, Please keep up with this simple easy to use app.

It syncs with all our Google calendars. Has great pop-up notifications. I like the daily view of events - each event lists the start and end times and only the one day is on the page. It's themes are subtle, not distracting. Once the event is saved, I can change the calendar it should be from. I like that past days and events are greyed out, making it easier to find the current date and time. This is a great calendar app!

I originally rated this app 5 stars but had to take one off. I still like it and use it but I do have one problem that keeps happening. I have a lot of reoccurring events in the calendar and if I need to change one (not delete) to better suit my future needs it always changes all the future reoccurring events which is good but completely deletes all the past ones so I can't go back and check them later. It's a shame. This would be otherwise a top-notch app...

I never write reviews. But after downloading 7+ calendar apps this one is by far the best. It is easy to use, easy to customize. You can sync data with google, edit the colors of the app, icon, and events without the 600 million different overwhelming options when adding an event like the other calendar apps. Its wonderful. GREAT JOB! LOVE IT!

I love the app so far. Calendar has views for day, month, or year that are easy to switch back and forth. Each event that you add is entirely customizable in terms of timing, reminders, and repitition. The fact that it's offline means I don't have to log in, be connected to wifi, or sync with other calendars.

It's a really good calendar, stuff repeats nicely, and it seems to work well. The only thing I have is that you can't get rid of a type of event. Like if you only needed it for a little but wanted a different color so it would stick out, you're now stuck with it. I also wish that you could change the color/name of event types after they've been made. It's a real pain when you accidentally use a color you've already used and you can't change it deleat it.

Please add ability for to mark a task as done or not done. If it's a lot of work just integrate it with the fade feature. Currently past task can be faded, so just allow to fade task only if its done. That's the only thing for which I have to use other app. Everything else seems great. The best thing about is the ability to have multiple alarm (not notification) reminders. I don't get know how there are so many todo, reminder apps with this basic feature missing.

There are so many things this app can't do. It can't order a pizza for me. There are other apps for that. It can't clean my room. Unfortunately there's not an app for that. What it does do it does excellently. - I'm able to enter my and my coworkers work schedules in a clear, simple format that can be viewed daily, weekly, monthly or yearly with ease. I can assign a unique color to each person making quick checks a snap. - If you want all the bells and whistles, go find something else and be prepared to face "contains ads and in-app purchases". - If you want a clean looking, simple to use, straightforward and editable calendar that doesn't take up a lot of space on your device, you can stop looking now and download this app.

I can't believe when I downloaded this app it told me straight away it wouldn't be updated any more without paying for an upgrade. What a cheap trick. Even the horrible orange colour can't be changed without upgrading! Extremely hard to read as it doesn't work well with my dark mode phone setting, can hardly read it. It's gone, what a waste of time.

Calendar seems to work fine but there is a big problem with the Add Holidays part. I've accidentally added holidays from the very strange list in a language I don't recognise and there appears to be no way to remove it. Even if i did my country (NZ) is not even in the list. I can assure you we do exist. There are some names which are not countries and this aspect is a bit of a mess otherwise it does the job with no trace of ads so far.

This is perfect, all the people complaining don't count that some of us want a private calendar, which you can't have if you want to sync within all your devices. Virtually every other calendar app stores my information online, I am happy I found this. The only update I would want to see is a better layout for the widget, looks kind of texty. Maybe put events in colored boxes.

Bought it! Loving it! It's perfection!! The continuous reminder tingling is impressive! Yet, It needs only one function. It is to "Do Not Play Reminder Sounds When In Silent Mode". Imagine you are going to a movie, but do not want to turn off the device for any reason... I could go to my SndVol manager app and tweak Alarm sound (I want the channel to be Alarm.) But it can be overlooked and not everyone can change their Alarm Sound Volume. Thanks again!

I retract my previous bad review. I upgraded to pro version and saw my events had all disappeared. I incorrectly thought they were gone for good. But actually I only had to open the old free version, export events as a .ICS file, then from the new pro version import the .ICS file. Simple enough, but if the developer had communicated this better, they'd have saved themselves many bad reviews. This is a great app, and assuming it's not doing anything nefarious with my data, I can recommend it. 👍

The best free app I've found that does all I want, with no ads & also does not collect my data! Providing a 'Done' tick check box for completed tasks would be great ( seeing these is motivating & I think will make peope want to use it regularly) . I am considering buying the Pro version (it's a small fee) but I am not able to find info on the additional features. The team comes across as dedicated to good quality, ad free products at a low cost. Very appreciable.👍🙂

Seems like a decent calendar but ionly comes in one color scheme with a black background. For people with eyesight issues a black background is untenable. Yes color options are available on upgrade to paid versions, but how are users supposed to enjoy the app enough to want to upgrade if they cannot see this one? I am not saying you should provide a multitude of color options for free, but how about just one additional option with a white backgrounf so people with disabilities can use it too?

Love this app. You may think it will be less efficient than the calendar that is part of my phone, but no so. It's actually more efficient. You can add "categories " and quickly find events by drilling down in SIMPLE VIEW. I can tell you date/year when I broke my right ankle. It doesn't seem important and yet I have needed the information at my fingertips several times.
