Great app! Love it! Highly customizable & very clear looking. The only feature which would make it perfect for me, is to have the ability to make the background transparent. Then I would give 5 stars. All the widgets on my home screen are transparent, except this one, which makes it stand out like a sore thumb. You can change the background colour, but not transparency. Otherwise a great app!
A terrific reminder widget. The one I had used for several years failed to work after updating to Android Pie. Simple Calendar Widget does 95% of what that one did; it's very configurable, looks great on the home screen, reminds me about upcoming events. And free! And works with Android 9. Has to be 5 stars.
Absolutely brilliant. Looks great on home screen and can be highly customised. One reviewer mentioned they'd love it to be transparent - you can do this by selecting colour at the bottom of appearance and then sliding the slider at the bottom to the far right! One feature idea for the future.. notifications! Great work developers
Very good job in reviving the Simple Calendar Widget!!! I was looking for this app for a long time as the old one does not support Android Pie. Thanks a lot for your work on this project! Update: I migrated to a new phone. Even if I configure all the Gmail calendars to be shown, only events form my main account are shown. In Gmail calendar i see all the events form all teh accounts. Any idea what is happening?
Thanks for this app, with this app I could easily live and not miss a bit of the old app "Agenda Widget Plus", it has many good things, but I think it could improve, like the time to the next events/etc, it doesn't display the Google Reminders, and so on, but for free and without ads it's just very very good. Again thank you for this app. 🙂
I highly recommend this as it includes the best agenda widget you can get. Perks include: -Connects to my google calendar and looks great. -Customization options really set it apart from similar agendas. Allows you to fully customize date/time formats, transparency, font color and size, what information is included, and more. -Free with no ads.
Almost perfect, but not able to show my contacts birthdays as Google Calendar pulls this from contacts rather than making it a separate calendar. It would be great if that could be added.
Great widget. Probably the cleanest and most minimal of any I've seen. Only drawback is it doesn't seem to update available calendars very easily.
I tried every other agenda-oriented calendar widget before finding this one, and it is literally perfect. Very compact, everything is customizable, has all the features you need and none that you don't. My only complaint is the author removed the donate link!
I've been using this apps for quite long, but recently it always make me frown every time is apps updated. This is is the third times that update broke the functionality of "Determine which app should be started when clicking on the widget" which I always set to "don't start any app but update widget content instead". Eventhough I choose that third option, it always open default calendar instead of updating content. Pleas take care thus bug, it has been 3 times already happened after update.
In all honesty, I really can't find a single reason not to rate this app with 5 stars. I've been looking for a calendar widget like this for ages. I wanted to be able to customise every single color of the labels and the days and everything displayed, and this app does that! Nothing but admiration for these devs. Simple and to the point.
Surprised that it still works... Considering this was last updated 2 years ago & now it's 2020. Totally free - no in-app payment & no ads. Does the job but would've liked the 'dots on calendar' for events to be a little bigger (difficult to see with a light background or transparency) or a way to resize the date on calendar Read some reviews about 'not updating unless change month' but too soon to comment on that atm - considering how old this app is I guess its due to android changes
Love all the features. But after some setup, the setup bullets at the lower right hand corner disappeared! So i cant make any changes now and have to stay with the current setup.
Great, clean widget that does exactly what it is supposed to do. Only bug I can see: in the settings I can select the birthdays calendar from android contacts, but they don't show up in the widget. Would be nice if they were visible as full day events.
Very nice first day, setup is a bit tricky (custom date format) but results in a clean full page widget Would love to see a per row back color option that defaults to transparent, with a per agenda color (or just transparency). This would allow date row or event rows to pop a bit more.
works as described. 5th star for added Google task/reminder support. I hate having to use different apps/widgets to manage my day so that would be absolutely fantastic if possible! especially since Google themselves have dropped the ball on all fronts when it comes to this! Otherwise great app!
Absolutely fantastic widget that works perfectly on my Android 9 phone and 10 tablet. Easily customisable text colours and sizes mean important things are highlighted and it reads event colours from the Google calendar. Also it's free so nothing to complain about at all.
Wow, I can't believe this app is free. Huge thanks to developer. Excellent interface. Awesome customization options let me make the widget look how I want it to look. No ads. Works perfectly on my new OnePlus 6t. Thanks again dev, excellent work.
It is beautifully customizable (all white on transparent background for me) but the calendar is not updated often enough. You create an event in your calendar and it may take hours before updating the widget :(
Simple and elegant in appearance, yet very customizable. A perfect widget for those who want a clean, concise, informative calendar widget. Works on Android 11.
I've used the widget on my homescreen for several years now. Looks clean and minimal, easy to set up, and enough customization to make it look right on any background.
I loved the previous version of this but since it just crashes on the new Android I went with this newer one I found... And I hate it. Will be uninstalling and finding something different. The old one allowed lots of customization and this one is sooooo stripped down it a little insulting.
Very good app. Widget can be visualized in many ways. Very nice. Just noticed that in the widget the year notation for a new year starts on the Monday after the 1rst of January. Now (before the change of the year 2021 -> 2022) Saterday 1rst Jan 2022 is showed as 1 January 2021 and not 2022, the same for Sunday 2 Jan: also 2021 instead of 2022. You can see the same bug for 1 Jan 2023.
Been using this for a long time. Great, simple and transparent non-distracting display. My only suggestion would be an update to implement MaterialYou theme colors.
The widget is really good... but since a while now it is not automatically moving to the next date at 12 midnight... I need to just click on the widget settings and then click back ... then it is refreshed to the current date
Flawed Best calendar widget I've used in terms of design functionality and for customisation. But it doesn't recognise the fact that I have an Outlook calendar and I can't add it. :(:(
App is finally working but there are some customisations are now missing (Align, Colour Labels, Custom Date...) pls refer to my email. Can't seems to edit an existing widget. Very glad the Developer is bck. Looking forward to re-instate review bck to 🌟🌟🌟 🌟 🌟 as it should for being a simple but excellent app.
I've been looking for a calendar widget for a long time. I can't believe I missed this! I have some questions though. Layout looks somewhat different than the screenshots displayed; it looks like the current version has less customization. Not sure about this however. Also, the dots for specific events all appear in the same color (experimental feature, I know!). All in all though...app is GG! Hope development of this app hasn't stopped. I believe the last update says what....2018?!
