Simple Digital Clock Widget

Loved this app for years and rely on it for my daily alarms. Display clock keeps freezing no matter what settings I change and even reinstalling doesn't help. Please fix ASAP! Update: I have sent email to developers but no reply. I liked this app and have used this for years, but if you can't even reply to an email or leave message on your app page that you acknowledge this issue and working on it then I'm uninstalling and moving on like so many others have. Have a good life!

Worked well for a few months. Then stopped keeping time correctly. To correct I have to restart my cell. I've reinstalled it but that didn't help. Today it had the wrong time AND yesterday's day and date. The reason why it received two stars is that I like the way it formats on my home screen, has no ads and needs no permissions. Hopefully there is an update soon.

As others have reported my widget time stops and the only way to get it back to the current time is to remove the widget from the home screen and then add it back. I like the layout of the widget, fix this and I'll come back, as of now the widget is unreliable and therefore useless. Also, having the ability to change the color of the text would be super awesome.

I used to LOVE this widget. Suddenly, the time stopped updating. The only way I can fix it, is to manually update my system clock. Then it works for a while, but suddenly stops updating the time again. This is irritating, because I'm a trucker, and I need to know at a glance what the date and time actually is. Uninstalling and reinstalling didn't help. LG G8 Android 10 Please fix this.

This app has been perfect until the recent OS upgrade to android Pie (Samsung S8). The time now stops at whatever time the phone was turned on at/ I reinstalled the app and now the time is stuck at the time I installed the widget. The app was last updated in 2015 so I don't know if anyone is still working on it to fix this bug so sadly going to look for another version.

I really like this clock on my home screen. I can resize it to be large enough to read without glasses, and it didn't try to do too much. Sadly, like others, when I updated my LG G7 to Android 10, this widget no longer kept accurate time. I'm disappointed to uninstall it, as I haven't been able to find another clock widget that works as well.

Seems the widget will no longer refresh if the 'Lock Home Screen Layout' setting is activated. There may be other reasons, but at least on my phone it was refreshing and updating itself when that setting was off. Had to resort to the default clock widget in order to keep correct time, which is a waste as I like the simple uncluttered setting of this widget. Hoping for an update to fix this.

This used to be one of those widgets you'd think should come included with Android. It worked great for many years. As others have stated, this app no longer keeps the time display current. It works for a bit and then stops updating the time shown in the widget. Removing and re-adding the widget works for a bit and then stops. I have given up on it and have uninstalled it.

Update: ver. 2.0.9 froze time. Samsung S9 on Android 10. Original review: I installed this app years ago when one of the Android versions completely ruined the pre-installed clock widgets. This simple clock widget has been installed on every one of my Android devices since and I love it. As noted below, the Android version update to 9.0 broke the auto-update time ability for this widget. Fortunately, v. 2.0.8 of the app fixed this and I'm back to using it again. Thank you to the developer!

I have been using this app for years it is the only one like it simple straightforward and sizable to your screen has had problems in the past they have always fix them it is free and no ads but they should charge $0.99 for it to help support it it's worth it all the others I've looked at have too many bells and whistles and are too confusing

beautiful and simple clock widget! only problem, tapping the widget tries to open the GApps native Android Google Calendar app. since i don't use that, and there are no settings to disable the tap function or change it, i can't use this widget. +5 star for beautiful and minimal design! -2 star for tapping function going to native calendar app rather than default or customization. +1 star for the simplicity and adaptive sizing!

The time sometimes gets stuck and freezes and can be hours off. Reboot your phone will fix it but often times it will do it again. Then it may work great for months but it will do it again. I like it but this is a big that hasn't gone away. Samsung Note 9. Still worth using!

Clock time stops! Time on clock was 20 minutes off, so I restarted me phone, looked good. Checked back 15 minutes later and the time is off again. Sad because I loved the size and layout of the display, plus ability to check world time, too. Can't trust it as I've been late twice because of it. Please fix! (Galaxy Note 9)

Poor updating... Clock worked fine as it was designed, however over the past few weeks it keeps freezing and won't update the time. Have tried uninstalling, even reset my entire phone, no change, obviously an update to the program is required, but seems like nothing has been done about an update for ages!

I have loved this widget for a long while and used it on multiple devices, but it no longer keeps time correctly. Time freezes until you wiggle the widget, but then the time freezes yet again. I need a clock that works, so I will uninstall this one and instead use "Digital Clock Widget" by Maize (search exact name in Play Store).

A simple widget as described:-). Thicker digits than the default Samsung clock make it legible against a light wallpaper. Tap the clock and you get clock settings, tap the date and go to Calendar. No special permissions, no unnecessary bloat; just does what it says on the tin! Many devs could learn from this. 5* well earned.

Time freezes. Resizing the time, restarting the phone, or removing and reinstalling the widget (not the whole app) will get it back to the correct time. It is annoying after years of flawless work.

love the app, but the clock froze yesterday and will not work as a widget. I give it a 4 because I loved it, and if you fix it it will be a 5 again, but useless if I'm late due to an inoperable clock. this is on a Samsung s8 active after a Samsung update. so may now be incompatible.

On 1x2 widget the font size is too small. If you stretch the widget it takes up more space on the desktop but the font doesnt get proportionately larger so you just have a bunch of empty space on your desktop. The 4x2 widget doesnt function at all.

0 STARS!!! Updated. Reinstalled. Not showing correct time. Restarted phone. Still not showing correct time. Reinstalled again. Still not showing time progressing. Stuck at time I reinstalled it. Should not have done update 😡 On Android 9, stored in Internal Storage not SD card. Help!

As others have stated the app worked great for many yrs. Gives you access to your calender, and alarm clock on your home screen. Now for some reason even with updates for not keeping time it still does not keep time properly. Ill update my review when you update the app to work properly...

Wife and I both have identical S5 Mini. Hers will show Calendar or time depending on which part of widget touched. Mine will not show calendar though. Very strange! On hers VERY good widget. Later, removed from both mobiles due to causing repeated reboots. Not suitable for S5 Mini.

Installed this today, and the time is not getting updated at all. Rebooted my phone and the time synched up, but stopped moving further. I see that the latest version 2.0.8 is for Android 8.0, but the issues are with Android 9.0 which I have. I will have to uninstall.

Today the clock is showing the incorrect time and there is no way to fix it that I can find. Until a few hours ago it worked perfectly 9/18/19 update. Gave a 5 star because it is now synced correctly and works perfectly 12/20/19 update it is an hour off! I was late for an important mandatory meeting... am uninstalling. Update 7/1/2020. The time is off again the real time is 8:53 and the widget says 7:30 so the update didn't fix it

Clock doesn't update properly on S10, so often shows the wrong time. It looks nice, and completely free with no ads, but spectacularly fails at the one job it has :(

I have used this clock forever. I loved everything about it until the last update! Now it shows that the wrong time! It is driving me crazy and I am going to find another app or widget unless it gets fixed immediately.

This was a good little app until recently. Now it Freezes and doesn't keep time. I have to restart my S9+ to update and it only lasts an hour or so before freezing again. I am deleting now.

I like the size of this clock but it looses time. It about 30 minutes slow and that bothers me. No way to set it to the correct time. I may uninstall it and look for a better one.

Worked fine till roughly last week. Now clock sticks on the same time, I have to drag it round the screen to get it to update to correct time, each time I want to look at it.

Was ideal clock for you phone's home page. Big enough to read at a glance and no fluff. Perfect. Sadly, no longer keeps time. Now useless.
