Simple Free for Facebook & more

It doesn't work at all, because when I open the app, I see blank black page and just tabs. When I changing tabs, all pages are black and in the upper left corner seet "Web page not available". Edit: It's not FB, because FB works on Chrome and my wife's app. And it's not the first time. Like a said, it's working fine mostly, but every 2-3 updates happens this.

I am really happy with this app! It is much smaller, faster and less resource-consuming than the original app. One thing I miss is a very small detail: once I liked a post (or whatever), it should change the color of the Like-button, like it does in the facebook app; this way I know whether I liked it already before. It's the only "issue" I have so far; not a big deal, but I really miss it. Other than that, great job, guys!

I normally don't write reviews. I'd like to appreciate the way you have carried this app over time. I have been a long time user. Now, if we face problems, your hands are also tied. Facebook policies urgh.. We are enjoying our last days with this app. Commendable work you have done. Thank You and goodluck for future. Edit: This is last update. I can't access fb timeline now. Almost the best FB browser I have found, except that it seems to be impossible to sign into Messenger. 26.3.2022 edit: downgrade to 2 stars because news feed no longer loads. It seems this app won't be upgraded anymore, so I guess this is the end of the road.

It won't let me post anything on the news feed but it lets me post a picture when I'm on my profile. Weird that it does that. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app but it still doesn't work. Hope you can fix that. I really like this app though 😊

Updated: Dec 13, 2021 The New update fixes all the previous issues, back to 4-star great job! Updated: Dec 8, 2021 Tried to give it a chance, this time not even allow me to login, what a joke! Downgrade to 1 star. After the November 30 update, the app only loads six feeds and then stop, no matter I choose the Top Stories or Most Recent option are the same result. Please fix it.

I like the app. Best non-official Facebook app I've used. Only issue is marketplace doesn't work in dark mode. I can't see most of the text and the background is white. For this reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 and I will unfortunately stick with the official app until this can be fixed.

I'm downgrading them to two stars now because they didn't give me an adequate response. They're blaming it on Facebook The fact that I get too many notifications... then they come around and say I'm supposed to control it within their app, it's just a simple browser. If I want a browser I can just use Chrome or say Opea. Facebook is terrible software. GUI is so flat you have to spend half your day trying to find an option. Disgusting. Zuckerberg stole WordPress. He doesn't deserve a penny.

I have just rediscovered Simple. still the best looking wrapper for Facebook. but from the reviews, Facebook is still trying to kill wrappers and the bans are still going on 🙄

This is an excellent app attempting to best utilise its role as a Facebook wrapper. If you're driven away from the Facebook app for its invasiveness, this app is probably the best alternative available. I'm inclined to be cautious in updating until versions are approved in the reviews, but the development is generally solid.

20 jan 22: Any idea what's wrong with Twitter? It gives me an error and "refresh" and "log out" buttons, but neither of them work. Twitter is opening in both Firefox and Chrome on my phone but not on the app. Probably not your fault, but any idea how can I fix it? Clearing the cache/removing Twitter didn't help.

This review is for both free and pro versions. This used to be the best alternative for the actual Facebook app until the recent update. Now when single images in the news feed are opened, the app gets messy. Images does not open in the native image viewer, they gets stuck in between the thumbnail and the actual image and makes us to go back. Really irritating. When there are multiple images in a feed or post, they do open as they used to be in the previous versions.

First tried the free version to test, and liked so much I got the pro version and bought the ad free upgrade. The best thing I have found is the ability to add to home screen a messages icon. Being able to open messages as a stand alone app instead of opening the regular app first is very nice. Had a problem with the app so I contacted the developer. It was later in the evening for me a day or two before Christmas, and I immediately got a live response, and fix. Great customer service.

I have a mixed experience with Simple Social. Every so often the screen goes blank and it does a refresh. The item you've been reading disappears and you are taken back to the top of your feed. I have searched through the settings but have not been able to fix it. If this continues then I'll go back to using the browser. Despite the developer's claims, Chrome browser on my Android 11 device does not take me up to the beginning of my feed when a new item is posted. Uninstalling. Sorry.

Love the app, sadly since the 11/30 update reactions are missing, it pulls up the bar but they're all grayed out and invisible. I'm using Android Q/10. EDIT: The issue is resolved after restarting the app and changing some settings, selected "wider images" in FB settings and changed a few other options. Adding messenger function in the same app was a nice bonus, love the customization features and speed of the app as well.

I really like the app, but the feature I loved the most and that convinced me to pay for the pro version was the smart word filter... and it recently stopped working (I'm guessing due to FB changes). So now I'm bombarded again by useless FB notifications ("X recently posted", "you have an unopened saved item" etc.) and it's been really bothersome. I hope you'll fix it soon (in which case I will, of course, change the rating back to 5*).

One of the best Facebook wrapper I've tried, and I've tried almost all of them! My personal recommendation! Minus 1 star for the time it takes to change tabs, etc., but I've didn't find one wrapper that has no loading time at all! This thing is getting better and better with every update! 👌 Update: glad to see this one back in the Play Store!

Seems to be going from bad to worse! With each update, something might get added or fixed but something else gets broken. I've had no birthday notifications for weeks, new update has fixed that but now I can't scroll beyond 6 posts & if I try to view extra photos in one of those I just get continuous 'loading'. Cleared cache, reset phone, still the same. Uninstalled & reinstalled, put in my name & password but it wouldn't detect me selecting 'login'. Finally got logged in but not fixed!

I just discovered this app, I had to give it 1 star because in facebook I can load "top stories" at all, I hope you fix the problem because I hate facebook app and I hoped this app could be a good alternative.

Turn the garbage with recent updates. I can't share YouTube links from a browser. It just keeps trying to restart itself. Already cleared cache and uninstalled and reinstalled nothing fixes one of the many quirks in the app. Another big problem is that everytime I get it started it opens a loading screen and then later tries to have me pick a file from my device. I could barely use the Twitter integration. Being able to switch between Twitter and Facebook is horrible.

For those looking for native app replacement users, its not about it, like its name. I love the way how this app works, very simple and smooth!

UPDATE-installed again, same problems. 3rd times the charm, I give up!/Newsfeed and Groups are blank and nothing shows up even if I refresh it. I uninstalled and re-installed the app and it still won't work. I tried to report it through the feedback option in the app and when the email option appeared, the address and body was blank both times I tried send it.

This app is way better than Phoenix & Facebook Lite. I've always had issues posting with both of them another issue you can't use your own notification sounds. This app is smooth and easy to use, no closing a page to post photos does everything automatically. I've give it 10* if I could. Keep up the good work.

Fantastic interface and great experience so far! Combines both Facebook, Messenger, & more. Able to upload pics and videos. This operates way better than Facebook Lite & Messenger Lite which I previously had. Even better than Facebook directly off Chrome page. Have had over a month now & happy with this app. Pages move quickly & functions are there & layout is great. Has ads at bottom of page however, doesn't bother me. Ease, combo media access, performance, & no crashes. Great job! Good work!

Been using the app for a good while, it's the best for FB and to my knowledge the only one where I can set the most recent setting as a default. Nice and easy to use. I was having an issue after the last update, sent a report about it, got an answer almost instantly, then a new update with the fix within a few hours. I'm impressed!
