Don't hesitate to try this app. One of the best gallery apps you can get that aren't crowded with useless functions. It's ads free and has enough functionality. I believe it's even better than Google's app in functionality, but performance isn't better for me on sd card as it looks like it loads files on the go. I scroll down and it loads files deepening on my sd card speed. I school up, it seems to do is again. It also kind of lags when doing it on the sd card which is kind of old and slow. When you have dozens of pictures it can be really slow to go back and forth and to reach where you want in that case. Maybe some temporary thumbnails like Google is doing could help with that for the loaded pictures at least, and with the option to get rid of them or to keep them, or to specify where to store them, or to specify their quality. Also, in settings, when changing the 'primary color' it also changes the title text of the settings' tabs, instead of keeping the color from the 'text color' options. Maybe adding another color settings for that would be better or just default it to the same color as the text. Other than that I find this app really good. Great job

Easy way to view photos. My only issue is that photos from my favorites disappear quite often. Edit: 3/18/22 this app inspired me to get a camera and not store anything on my phone. Once again, it has deleted photos from my favorites file and deleted an entire folder with art projects. It does this out of the blue and I'm tired of it. You can tell people to install the pro version but it doesn't bring back deleted photos. So, I'm deleting this app. Bye!

Best gallery app I've used yet. - No ads, though there is a pro version, it's super cheap and the features are unneeded. - Sorts by name PROPERLY like Windows instead of the strange system other apps use. - Great customizablility, being able to filter media, customize slideshow, tons of settings etc. - Doesn't spam you with "rate us!" messages. - Though it plays very large gifs slow, most apps refuse to play them at all. I could go on and on, but you get the idea, it's REALLY good!

Great no frills image management with lite editing tools. Intuitive, easy to understand user interface. Small installation footprint. Excellent, drama free application for those who just need the basics. Very happy with it. (If you need sophisticated image tools you would transfer files to a PC to do that anyway...)

So far, I like it. Just want to do basic photo editing for screenshots of recipes or instructions. And since TMobile can't send 99% of the photos you take, I have to dumb them down by cropping or adjusting to send a photo and cross my fingers! I didn't need sparkles or goofy faces that 80% of the photo apps out there have. For now, it works for me.

I hoped this would replace QuickPic (which is no longer being maintained) and initial impressions were good, in that it had a similar look and feel...but, oh dear, it is so slow and laggy, this app would be better called DeadSlowPic. I can't understand why it is SO slow. I am not asking it to do any more than QuickPic, but the lag is excruciating, by comparison.

Would be great to have a "all photos" folder top left to aid finding speeding new photos etc. Removing the file names from the thumbnails as that's quite annoying. Allow you to reorder the folders easier by dragging them. When you open a picture it displays the date instead of the file. Be able to arrange photos by date order in each folder also would be great.

When I try to delete a pic it says to pick the top folder on the next screen. The top folder is never the one they suggest. In fact, I've so far not seen the folder they want me to select. What's worse is no folder works. I can't move pictures from one album to another because again it says to select the top folder on the next screen. The top folder is my Android software. Yet again, no selection works. Trash! Why would I pay?

Do not recommend.., it was fine at first and performed fine, unfortunaly it was short lived. Eventually this app would not store or show any images or gifs that I downloaded, in addition it deleted some preexisting images I've had from both my SD storage, and internal storage. Idk what happened all of a sudden, but ik its not just my phone. I've had this app on three other devices and lead to the same issue, the exact same. THis WAS good developers, what did y'all do to this app? It was great

This app destroys photos. I did several batch moves of photos totaling more than 100 & it destroyed them all. The quality of those that are visible after the move is absolutely terrible and nothing more than blotches of color against a white background. While others are missing all together. Even pics that I did not move from my screenshot album are missing, while Google photos still shows photos in that album. It absolutely destroyed many important screenshots that I may not be replaced BEWARE!

This app is similar or same to others. Annoyingly buggy. Cannot turn off recycle bin and cache grows and grows. Very slow to delete images. Updating only updates advertising so don't. Better yet find another. RESPONSE TO DEV: No, you cannot turn it off. One if many bugs. You admittedly have abandoned the app. Why updates? Oh yes, adverts. This exact code / app is everywhere. Appbox works excellently.

Almost the perfect replacement for the old QuikPic, but the one issue is that when scrolling through photos, you can't see the thumbnails until you pause and let them generate. Even after they've generated once, it's still the same the second time. As if it's not caching them

App itself is quite good for the most part, would be one of the best free apps. Solid and simple. But over the recent months more and more features that used to be free are getting moved over to the pro version to the point where my phone's built in app now does some things this one doesn't without paying. Doesn't sit too well with me. Meanwhile issues like handling very large folders and file moving/deleting still can be buggy, not ideal if you paid.

People don't seem to understand what "no longer supported" means... Not to mention, if you upgrade to pro for free, it makes no sense if they make you pay later, that's now how it works everybody. The app itself is amazing, it puts everything in each folder and it looks simple and great. The way you can still save things you've put in the recycle folder is amazing and the features make this a great gallery app.

I just had to come here and write a really nice review for this app. I have been using QuickPic for 3-4 years now, and it was supposed to be the best gallery out there, but lately it became sluggish, pictures need 2-3 seconds to fully render (with the stock gallery it was almost instant, but I didn't like that interface so I stayed with QuickPic), and it also has problems with pink titles now, so I was searching for a good app that would be my go to gallery for good, and I believe I just found one. Simple Gallery has it all. Beautiful interface. Colors. Many options that you can enable or disable to your liking. You can set how many rows you want to see on your screen, you may set the grid or list view... Pictures render instantly. (there is a half a second delay from the moment you open it until you can zoom, but I'm sure it will be improved.) Dear developer, I would suggest increasing the sensitivity when zooming with one finger just so it zooms faster. Selection works just beautifully. You can hold to select a picture and then just drag down or up and it will select super fast! I love this option. Picture editor is snappy! And there are many filter options. (I would suggest adding the option to choose the opacity of the selected filter) Theme options are nice, you can set colours to your own liking but I'm sticking with the original orange. It's awesome! They also added the option of the recycle bin! If you accidentally delete pictures, you can get them back instantly! Whoever read this far, thank you. And download this app. You will use it for a long time! And dev, if you are reading this I just want to tell you... I'm proud of you. And if it's a team effort, then I'm proud of you all! Awesome job! Have a nice day.

It's good, especially because there are no ads, but it's complicated and irritating to use sometimes. When I tried to create a new photo folder it took me to something called root??? And then said an unknown error occured. I've figured out that if I click ON a photo folder, you can create a new folder easily from there, but that it's set up like that shows my point that it's not very simple and easy to use

If the app is unsupported, why do I keep having to update it? Not much to say. Mainly use it for the editor. Tried using it as main photo app but if you open something from the navigation pull down, you can't stay in the app. It just closes when you try to go to the menu. I do this enough with screenshots that it was easier not to use it. Do love being able to save edited photos over the original when I want to instead of all or none. Saves lots of space and time dealing with duplicates.

Delightfully simple to use app! No additional over the top padding that can potentially harm any sort of performance on your device. this app does what it has to do! nothing more nothing less... so far this is the 2nd app I've come across that is just 100% perfect at what it does! (side note,... thanks for allowing us to choose a different color for the interface and app logo! I really didn't like the default color!)

Every time I try playing a landscape video, the aspect ratio is reversed. What I mean is that landscape video show as portrait and portrait video show us landscape. I've tried every conceivable setting, in the settings menu, to try and reverse this anomaly yet nothing has worked so far. I'm hoping that the developer will read this, and get back to me in terms of what I can do to resolve this. I'm using a Google Pixel 2 XL phone with Android 9.1 (I have the latest security update).

Tac. L. Jan 10, 2020

Cool. But it keeps telling me to upgrade to premium since the free version isn't getting any updates. Also moving, hiding photos videos and changing folders is a pain. You have to confirm the folder you're moving it too but it won't let you confirm it even if it's literally the same folder. Other than that it's pretty good....at least it's free.

Love this app, I found it to be an ideal substitute for the Samsung gallery! I initially had 2 problems trying to figure out how to sort by filename confusing it with the group by function and totally missed the option to change background colors. I can't blame the developer because I happen to be visually impaired. Overall, I think this application is absolutely fantastic. I would highly recommend it!

Mit. B. Jan 25, 2021

I like this! Simple, well designed and easy to use, and keeps stuff organized so that I know where everything is when I want to find it. I have had some issues creating new folders and moving items, but that's okay. I also get annoyed sometimes about how the folders reorganize based on when they're updated, but there is probably a setting for that.

Rac. M. Oct 20, 2019

This was a great app while it worked. I woke up to find that the app deleted the majority of my photos - without my permission. The photos are now nowhere to be found on my device. Just gone. Thankfully, they are backed up on Google photos, but none of my organized albums are recoverable. I will have to sort through thousands of photos to make the albums again.

Well it served me well. No annoying ads like other galleries. I have two galleries on my phone because this app, doesn't have the drawing tool, for example I want to cross out some details on an image, I can't do that with this app. But apart from this, all is good. I can crop, i can create albums and move images from one album to another. It's offline and free.

Overall a good photo and media manager. A few minor glitches and that's why I did not give it 5 stars. It was close, maybe 4 and 1/2 stars! One of the glitches... after creating a new folder it often does not appear. I've had to do some restarts of the program and or my phone before it shows up. It's there if I check the file tree but it doesn't want to show up.

It may be out of date, but that's fine by me. A simple gallery app to view stored photos and videos without having to worry about your data being jettisoned to the All-Seeing Amorphous Intangible "Cloud." The only thing that's missing is a way to edit videos within the app the same way one can trim or crop photos, but that's truly a minor consideration, and arguably beyond the scope of this app in the first place.

Sam. T. Nov 12, 2019

This app has been very helpful. The default photo app on my Galaxy S6 refuses to open when there is under half a gigabyte of memory left. I've no idea why. Anyways, I had to find a new photo app and that led me to this one. It has all the same features I used in the other, with a similarly simple interface. This app is no longer updated, but it's got everything I need. Good work.
