Simple Gallery Pro - Photo Manager & Editor

Update (May 2022): Whatever you have done with your latest update, it has messed this app up completely! It was a near-perfect app. Now you've removed the ability to hide folders, lock folders, etc. In the PRO version. That's absolutely ridiculous! If I can't roll back to previous versions, I will just have to go find a different app. Extremely disappointing. I will have to think twice before ever updating my apps. Definitely a downgrade. Brilliant app. Easy interface, powerful feature set.

Exceptionally awesome. Edit: Latest update has made it super slow at moving files and somehow we don't have the show/hide folder permissions anymore (even though there are other Android 11 apps that allow the same perms). Moving 100 photos take over 10 minutes. I used to move 1000 photos in under 5 minutes. What is going on? Why are you ruining a perfect app??? Edit: The 100 files didn't even move. Idk what's wrong with the app.

It would be nice if the app was able to recognize .wmv and .mpeg files like other gallery apps can (even the stock app can view them). Also, when trimming a video, the new file has a significantly reduced frame rate. Not sure why that would even be a thing. And now with the latest update moving photos from one folder to another is incredibly slow, just a few photos takes several minutes.

Used to be the best app around Now after an update, It's all broken. Moving pictures to different folders makes you confirm on every single photo, that you want to move it, before you do. Making moving even just 20 photos obnoxious. Hope this app can return to it's former glory. To add on, when moving files, it changed the last modified date. Super obnoxious for file organization.

Was perfect but after the last update the sorting is way off. Whether I sort by date modified or date taken it doesn't sort properly like it did before the last update. It looks when I moved the files from one folder to another that changed the modified and taken dates. This needs to be fixed. It's putting them out of order of when they were actually modified/taken. Edit: tried your "fix" of the fix date taken and it did nothing.

Now, this will still be a 5 star app as it always was. BUT: the recent few updates broke the file management function. "Move" will move some or all selected files, but there'll always be files left in the start folder. That only happened a few days ago, my Android version didn't change, and the free github version does not have this issue - it's much, much faster too. So, why have a Pro version that's worse than the free one? (Developer is working on a fix)

The latest Android update makes this app unusable. Not the devs' fault but it is what it is. I'm trying to move files from one folder to another. Basic file management stuff that I use this program for. Instead of taking a few moments, I get a pop-up at the bottom of the page and spinning blue and green orbs that make the program hang up indefinitely. I'm not able to download any pictures in the meantime. The same thing happens when deleting pictures. Rebooting the phone is the only workaround.

All I want is a folder view for my photos and videos without too much clutter. This app has been working well for me over the last 4 years. Samsung's photo editor is better imo, but there's nothing stopping me from using that. Also the built-in photo editor is still quite good. Minus a star for issues with the latest update, hope it will be fixed soon.

This most recent update has made this app into a clunky mess. Everytime I try to sort pictures it has to keep keep asking for permission to use a folder. Everytime I choose to move a picture it has to ask if I want to delete the picture afterwards instead of just doing it. It's as if if doesn't know what the difference between what copy and move is. If I wanted it to stay in the first folder as well I would use copy. Trying to turn on "Skip Delete Dialogue" just doesn't work. Screw this update.

Oh man! This latest update just messed up everything. #1. My favorites just vanished from nowhere. #2. Modifying syncing takes too darn long and or crashes the app. #3. Transferring Pictures from one Album folder to the other is not functioning right. #5. Asking for permission to move pics is annoying. Also Take that Move or delete files popup off from the next update because, we can do it manually the old way. Please fix ASAP!

I used to love this app but the newest version is slow and buggy. Primarily: 1) Moving image files between folders is slow, repeatedly asks for folder permission, and consistently leaves *copies of* 1 or 2 files in the previous folder. Then I have to confirm they all moved to the new folder and return to the previous folder to delete redundant copies. 2) Video editor no longer works. I "trim" a video file, it processes the steps as usual, and the new file is produced but doesn't work/play.

So, images and videos I download from the internet now no longer show up in the folder, I have to restart my device to see them. It always asks me if I want to delete files when I move them despite me having that option turned off. Random sorting does work unless I change it to something and change it back. Please go back to the previous version, the one that worked.

Went from 5 stars to 3 stars, i really enjoy this app but after the latest update I've been having some..issues.. i got no problem with the hide folders things, i can still "exclude" folders so that works out. However... I've come across an annoyance of trying to MOVE pictures from one folder to another, pics that should be moving are not being moved but rather copied so if i try to move 20 pics I'll suddenly have 40 pics, 20 in old folder and 20 in new folder. Among other small annoyances.

This was my favorite gallery app, but this update has destroyed usability. Upon editing I keep getting asked to "confirm external storage access". I'm using internal storage. It gives me a button to "use this folder" which lets me select any folder, but then upon saving no edits are saved. I did give the app full permissions. But if it can't save simple edits, it's useless to me.

Bought the full version. Had a blast with it until a genius decided to stop supporting the show/hide folders feature which was vital to me. This is why many don't like to purchase apps because we're afraid a bummer decides to change important features which led us to get something we paid for. I'm asking for a refund that they won't likely give me. Edit: I'm sorry it was not your decision, yet something I paid for is removed from the app.

I can't use this app anymore. I have a Pixel 6 Pro and used this app for hiding galleries, not locking folders and now that feature is gone but available in the free version? Makes no sense. ALSO, I used this app for editing videos like rotating or trimming and now that has many bugs. I feel ripped off paying for the pro version now that it has features missing or don't work anymore. Also, when I move pics/vids to another folder, it will move all files but leave copies of half the files.

I've been using the pro version this app for almost 4 years, because its simple and straightforward which i loved. However, after a recent automatic update, it removes the ability to hide folders because "Android 11 doesn't support it"... im still on android 10. My complaint is that i paid for your service, yet tou remove features unannounced. Please bring it back, thanks...

Changing it to 3 stars because the new version has been really buggy. Renaming folders no longer works, it just gives an error. Moving, deleting and renaming pictures sometimes gives an error and actually works and some other times it says successful but in reality it did nothing. Also when I add or modify images through the file explorer the app doesn't detect then unless I rename the folder or move them somewhere else or back again. I used to love the app, but this new version messed it up
