This app is very glichy. I started to used it 2 years ago , I always experience problems that it keeps loading the meditation and not able to start even I subscribed premium, therefore I removed the app. Now, I re-install the app and still having the same issue. The idea of the app is great, I like the "on the go" meditation, and there are lots meditation selection for premium users, however, the technical issues has not getting any better.
Overall, its brilliant. The audios are well-assembled and they really do help ! But honestly,I find it a little pathetic (no offense !) that important topics which are slightly more specific around certain problems, like around depression, etc, have to be paid for, even the essential topics. Good day ! :)
I really like the variability and content in the app. The meditations feel natural and easy to follow. The audio quality leaves something to be desired. I find it really distracting from the content to have the audio background loop of the same bird sounds and wind / water. I wish they either had no background noise or a few other types. I'm also not consistently getting notifications everyday, though I opted to. Overall, 4/5 rating.
Easy to use and rewarding! I love the "What are you doing wheel" when I'm struggling to choose a topic for meditating. I love that their are lots of good teachers and varied meditations, only wish would be more options for walking meditation, since i don't have a park nearby or live in a city. Maybe a more general one would be nice? Otherwise a fantastic app. (The achievements for meditation streaks is also great!)
Incredible app, would recommend to almost anyone. The guided meditations are absolutely great for beginners. The only thing I wish was a feature is multiple reminders. Right now you can only set a reminder for one time but I think it would be really helpful to have the ability to set one for each time you wanted to meditate during the day!
Really enjoy this app. It's been a huge help in transitioning from work into the evening. The only problem I have is the inability to queue meditations. I very much dislike having to grab my phone to start another meditation when I'm already in the meditative mindset. A simple queue would eliminate this entirely and make this an easy 5-star app.
I enjoy the fact that there are meditations in all different levels, personal interests and schools of meditation. However, a few things i would fix - reminders don't work. I try to keep a daily habit, but after a few days the reminders just stop. Also, it's nice to be able to save meditations to your playlist, but would be even more helpful if you could organise them into some categories of your own choice, right now i have to scroll through tens of meditations to find the one i had in mind
I've used a bunch of meditation apps. This app has a lot of features that I've seen before, but not in one place. It has "situational sessions" where you choose what situation you're in (trying to sleep, going to work, etc) and you can set how long you want the session to be (5, 10 or 20 minutes). Plus it has guided courses, most of which require subscription but a good number are free. The only feature missing for me is a simple "timer" for when I just want to meditate alone.
Great! Good selection of free as well as premium options. There's also a good variety of teachers and 'subjects.' Also like that you can customise for exactly what you need at any point. It would be nice to purchase certain series/meditations rather than have to subscribe to a month/year. Another idea would be the option to choose to block notifications until your session is over. Thank you for an awesome app!
Great app that makes a huge impact. I love the easy layout of this app. It allows you to find exactly the right meditation for whatever you are feeling or going through at that moment. There are tons of useful sessions and series that are available on the free option if you can't afford to subscribe to their unlimited version. Seriously can not recommend this app enough, it is such a huge part of my emotional self care routine, and I can notice a huge difference in my attitude when I miss a day.
This app has the right idea! However, in terms of its effectiveness, it's just not working. I'm on my second day of using the app (free version) and the meditations are not loading. I have shut down the app multiple times and reloaded to see if that fixes the issue - still no use. I suspect it is a glitch, however, it has put me off subscribing for the premium version.
Simple Habit has helped me get better sleep. I love that they have ambient nature sounds, they are incredibly soothing at the end of the day. And there's the added perk of Background Sound, so my phone doesn't have to stay on with it's screen lit while I'm asleep. It shuts off after the audio clip ends, not wasting phone battery! It's pretty lovely.
Life-changing, with a few glitches. I downloaded this when I was going through a rough patch. After using it daily for about a month, I saw a positive shift in my thought patterns, which then translated to my behavior and relationships. Now, I use it several times a week -- most meditations are a perfect length for my commute -- and it continues to be an invaluable tool. However, some of the longer meditations will randomly pause and will not start again unless the app is closed and relaunched.
I think this is one of the meditation apps worth paying premium for. Most of the "Teachers" have such soothing voices and are very good at pacing the meditations. Aesthetically I chose this one because of 2 reasons: 1. I like that they didn't opt for a lot of bright colours 2. It's efficient & simple to navigate. My favourite feature is "ON THE GO". It's great for when you need a quick pick me up and for discovering new series.
I love Simple Habit and would have given it 5 stars, but the app is glitchy for me - sometimes it takes a while for the Series screen to come up when i open the app, or it doesn't come up at all, or it acts like i don't have a paid subscription already. Other than that, i think it's awesome especially with so many options: different topics, teachers, and the ability to choose how much time you have to meditate. Great app!
This is a good meditation app for beginners with no experience, people looking to get back into the habit, or just busy meditators who need a little reminder! It is by far the gentlest introduction into meditation and offers a wide range of teachers and experiences. I love you can set times to be reminded, and the "what are you doing now" feature is excellent for people with anxiety or chronic pain, or sleep trouble. This app is super flexible, based on time you have, and what you need help with at the moment. The lesson format is also a very nice feature. Edited my review because I made a mistake in understanding the billing of this app.
It helps me relax, which is hard for me since I have severe anxiety. I'm not saying it takes it all away but definitely a temporary fix for when it's all a bit too overwhelming. Though I don't know if I'll pay for the upgrade yet. It is confusing that it's a free trial & says it'll automatically take money out once done, yet I haven't put payment details in (Which is a bit worrying as there is no option to unsubscribe, that I can see anyway)
Lots of great and free content. The app can be a bit glitchy at times, but this usually resolves with closing the app and restarting it. The free version does not work without an internet connection so is not useful on airplanes, but overall I have veen very happy with and impressed by the content and quality of the app, especially compared to other free offerings.
2simple fixes. 1. more music choices 2. Let us create "sessions" with multiple meditations in each. The selection is great but hard to keep organized and the playlist option is more like a favorites list. The app organizes by category or theme, the user should be able to organize similarly. I work on motivation, focus, and stress, but each teacher is different and with some being more like words of encouragement, I might play a few in a row. I shouldn't have to stop, rate, search and start over
The reason I don't give it 5 stars is because unless you pay, you only get few options (which is quite decent actually but I personally prefer more options) and the rest are locked. The way the sessions are categorized into different parts makes it easier to focus on your personal goal. Overall, I think this app is really worth to try especially if you don't mind paying extra money.
The sleep music is fantastic. I use it every day. The meditation and coaching sessions are very good with a wide variety and range of times. The stories I listened to were not right for me. I worried the religious sessions would be the focus but that has not been the case. The trial period was very valuable to help determine whether to subscribe - I realized the value I would get for the cost of less than one session with a therapist. App should let you pause and return to pause point later.
Very user friendly, enjoy being able to control the amount of time I want to meditate and the voice actors are phenomenal. Edit- Still great a year later, but I noticed that you can't choose the length of the meditation when looking at a playlist. Not the end of the world but it would have been nice, even if it was just essentialy stretching it out by adding white space in between the pauses, similar to what Headspace does.
The content of the app is really good, but the experience on the app itself is very poor. It is taking time for the app to open, for the dashboard to be displayed and then even after pressing play, the session doesn't begin. I was looking forward to listening to what the app has to offer, but unable to. Updated since the app is now working much better and as expected.
It's a WONDERFUL meditation app for a beginner or someone who wants meditation to fit into their schedule. It makes a person like myself actually want to meditate. However, the constant ads to get me to subscribe are quite obnoxious, and they include in the list meditations that are only for subscribers which is an annoying tease. If it weren't for the amazing interface and wonderful options, I would switch to another app on the basis of all the ads.
I really enjoy it. Lots of different options and avenues to pursue. The interface is simple, clean, and easy to use, and the range of options in session length are great. Some improvement that I wish for is a way to filter out the premium-only options so I could see just the free ones (unless I just haven't found that yet). I get that the point is to make me want to pay, but I just find it a bit bothersome and that makes me want to not pay ever. I'm contrary like that.
