Simple Keyboard

Excellent, functional design. All the essential features, easily configured for quick, efficient typing. In fact, I'm able to type faster and easier than Gboard or Swiftkey, both I've had considerable experience with. Very pleased.

Really a simple keyboard. Bonus, its safe and open source. Just a few sugesstions,👉 Word Sugesstion, Auto Correct option and Emoji Option would be really appreciated. (I know after that it would not be a "Simple Keyboard" 😅 but it would be useful. Thanks 😇

It is very good, but only once fully configured which extends beyond app options ie battery management must be turned off for this app, keybpress delay should be 150ms not 300ms, gboard must be disabled... Wish it had word autocorrect. Also if 2nd and 3rd row keys were streched horizontally to the max that would eliminate many key press errors. Great app, god wonders how much meta data google is gathering on gboard.

All the simple features I need for my continual typos. But this app desperately need predictive text and auto-correct suggestion. If it did, this would be a perfect keyboarf for me.

A little more, maybe a lot more, simple than I thought possible in this century. No voice input? No wordpro features at all? I've been through the settings but I feel like there's a whole page of stuff that needs to be turned on. Somewhere

Great keyboard but sadly no dictionary or spell-checker and rather annnoyingly if you are using GB English you're stuck with a perma $ sign on the letter D - which cannot be changed. No access to the emoji panel either. The key typing sounds are nice, however the oldstyle backspace sound clashes too much so I turned it all off.

Trust me I have a very low ram phone so I installed it there but reviewing using my main device and to be honest I was not disappointed I can finally use it without lag.. This app Is designed for those who just need to type, it's not flashy or has many functions it is what it says it does.. It's a simple keyboard and I love it.. Thank you to the developer.

android back gesture always onflicts with keyboard swipe gesture. and instead of deleting text, the keyboard just closes. maybe there is some way to work arond it? maybe you could make an option to perform delete gesture by swiping left in the middle of keyboard? or come up with something better

1 of the best open source keyboard for user that prioritize privacy.. Unfortunately, material light / dark (&border) can't be use as system default..I didn't like the system / border default and it looks old..I hope the Dev can considerate this..Very cool keyboard..

Not really a simple keyboard for people that that can't spell some words, no word prediction, no spell checker, no swipe for easy typing, no emojies. Why can't you add these features to make it more helpful, they can all ways be toggle of if people still want the basic look.

A bit basic on functionality, offering no swipe-writing or emoji support, but that's okay when it uses around 15MB RAM, while Gboard(Google Keyboard) and many other keyboard apps use 50+ MB RAM; this is the most lightweight keyboard app I've found.

#Feature Request Please add the current clipboard paste feature.Like in gboard that let's you paste the current clipboard even in those input boxes where pasting clipboard isn't allowed / blocked.That's the only thing that this great keyboard is missing.

I've been using simple keyboard on two different devices for years. It works quiye well, uses very few resources and the baic cutomizations are enough for me. Though, I'd like an easier way to customize the colors, as my fingers are a bit inaccurate. I'd recommend it as a great alternative to the various kitchen sink keyboards.

Just fantastic. I only now realized how much space gboard was taking up for the last 2 years, full of nonsense features I NEVER used. Plus I found the amount of User Data it needed was bizarre for a FLIPPING keyboard. Just swapped it out with this, set the Material Light Border theme, and it feels like nothing's changed. I'm definetely making typos a bit more, but I'll adjust eventually. Seriously, I can not thank you enough for this app.

It works, it's well designed, attractive and it's secure. The only similarly minimal, secure and functional keyboard I tried was also buggy, almost useless and truly ugly. I don't want anything but a keypad sometimes. I have a full featured keyboard, this is perfect as an alternative light "nothing whatsoever except" keyboard. No bloat, no features I don't want or need, and it doesn't "correct" words I don't want corrected, cute resource gobbling complexities or space wasting databases. I like it just as it is.

Finally found the perfect keyboard. I was getting really tired of the heavy emoji/GIF keyboards suspiciously pushing for permissions and adding features that are really NOT necessary for everyday needs. My fingers kept hitting their additional icons, causing me to accidentally load their app or something else. I've only been using this one for a minute and the simplicity is already a breath of fresh air. And it still looks good. Obviously I will update if anything comes up, but otherwise - TY!

Not the prettiest app, Simple Keybord lives up to its name. Thumbs are such clumsy instruments that I found myself typing the same words and letters over-and-over again on my new Samsung with it's miserable (but pretty) stock keybord. Correcting typos slowed me way down and made me not want to type at all. Simple Keyboard leaves LOTS of space between characters. On a large phone it's a bit of a stretch to hit the space bar but all other typing is quick, effortless, and accurate.

So far I really like this app it's great I can change the size of the keyboard make it bigger without having to download another app for older people like me who need to see the keys. The only thing I would like is that it would have a little icon for a speaker (meaning it has voice speech so that I could speak when I'm texting. Other than that it's a great feature so far very simple very easy to use I love the colors and the appearance everything on it.

No swipe. I get that its supposed to be simple and basic, but swipe is basic and necessary. Without it its slow and clunky to type

Finally I found what I wanted! No suggestions for words, no complications and you can set the height that is perfect for your thumbs!

Its an excellent app that does everything it claims. I like not having to worry what my keyboard is sending to google. However i do wish it included capitalization of i and and automatic punctuation on contractions. Ive intentionally left them out in this review as an example of what youll get without extra effort. Those are the only things im really missing but otherwise its exactly what i was looking for.

Literally the best keyboard ever. Like another review said, lightweight app, no invasive permissions and such. No need for auto-correct, because there are only little errors made. Perfect layout and you can customise it to your liking. No emojis and such, but who needs those? Just make an emoticon with the symbols, old-school, easy. I've found absolutely no cons with this app, so I'd say (again) that this is the best keyboard ever!

Unless I missed something and I could have, there's no microphone to do text to speech. If I'm wrong, however, I will increase the stars because it does what it says it will do and it offers a dark theme keyboard which I need. I'm keeping it on my phone as a backup for a different keyboard that is very customizable, has an incredible number of keyboard theme options, although I just chose one of them. I liked it being simple but not that simple.

How about adding an emoji feature? It's okay for me not having an autocorrect function. I just use this app because GBoard is not responding when I type chat in a heavy game like CODM.

great app! very simplistic which I love. maybe options for emoji support would be something to consider, as well as language corrections. 5/5

All is only SUPER, only thing preventing me to give 5 stars and that is, missing Gujrati (India) language on this keyboard. My request to developer to add Gujarati language in next update.
