Simple Metronome

Great app! Simple and easy to use, but also plenty of options for customisation of sounds and tempo, etc. And there are no ads, which is a huge plus to me. Thanks Ethan! Only idea to mention would be that the flash of the visual click feature seems to come before the sound, and end on the audio click. But if you were using the visual one by itself it wouldn't matter. And admittedly, I don't know how it's meant to be, maybe this is normal, and it's just my perception.

This is a very good app but seems to have developed a bug since past 2 weeks. Till then it was working fine.Though I have chosen the option - play audio with other apps on , the metronome sound disappears on switching on music/songs, though the metronome does continue to play in the background. My phone is of the latest Android version. Please do the needful to fix this bug.

Hats off to the developer. Fantastic app. Personally I couldn't wish for any other features. Keeping time when playing fingerstyle on an acoustic guitar is harder than you think. You don't realise how easily you stray ahead of the beat until you use the steady heartbeat of a metronome. Many thanks and have a great Christmas. :)

Very good for drumming, simple, no ads, you don't really need more than this. Only thing I don't like is that you have to go into the app itself to stop it - can't do it on the lock screen preview, or the dropdown, nor does it stop when you unplug headphones, all of which are ways to stop music playing in any other app. Also wish the click could be louder, since I am drumming to it, but it's hard to complain when it's free and I use it every day. It's exactly what it says it is. It's very easy to use, with easily adjustable BPM and time signature. My only complaint for this basic program is that if you choose to accent the first beat to know where the 1 is, it accents in a lower tone. For any musician who has a traditional feel for upbeats and downbeats, this makes it seem like it's accenting the 4 instead of the one. It became too difficult for me to keep the count and I got another app where the pitch is higher on the 1.

Amazing app! I downloadeed this metronome for a class assignment, and I kept it, because it really helps when I am practicing. I also love how it's just so simple. It's not loaded with unnescesary crud, and overall, it gives a giod experience! However, I think you should add different sounds, like a longer click, or an electronic beep. Thanks for this wonderful app!

I've happily used this app for many years, always worked great. But.. since I bought a Pixel 4a I have issues with the volume constantly going up and down. I experimented with both Stop for other apps options without success. Any tips on how to solve this would be great. Problem only happens with the phone speakers, if I connect a bluetooth device the volume doesn't change. Otherwise great app (and great wet fart mode!)

Perfect free app with no ads. The name says it all, simple adjustable metronome. Very clean display with some really nice features and options, but nothing unnecessary. I love that you can also tap and it will tell you your BPM if you want, or set a visual indicator of each beat if desired, and that there's an option for if it will stay audible with other apps going or not. Perfecto.

Awesome. Very simple but accurate. Doesn't turn off when another app turns on or when there is a reminder or when the screen turns off. There's a small light to mark the rhythm or you can choose the whole screen to flash. You can regulate the volume of the metronome sound. Love it! Thank you :)

I'm learning how to play the guitar and this is an awesome app to help me with the tempo. Nothing fancy or distracting, just a great app that does what it's supposed to do. Oh, and NO ADS, or invasive permissions. It does have a silly fart sound but that helps get the grandkids interested in music (sort of).

Really excellent, straightforward simple metronome. This metronome does a great job for me with stage, studio work. Great visual tick idea which really helps me when in a very loud environment, especially when counting in and drum intros. We'll done to the developer. You don't have to look anywhere else for a metronome this one is great. And believe me I have been around a long time sessioning. Brilliant.

Have used it for years. Nothing fancy. It's an app that clicks in time, and really, what more could you ask for? To the whiners that get all uppity because there are no ads... if this dev doesn't think that their effort in creating a simple app that actually performs a simple job warranted commercialisation, I don't see how that is any problem to you. Thanks for your contribution to the musical community.

Does exactly what it promises. Nothing bloats the app unnecessarily. I only have two tiny issues: first the stop button seems to only respond after the upcoming sound has been played, which is a little confusing at low bpm. Secondly: in custom sounds are some hillarious choices which can give you great ideas for your own sounds, yet one can not choose a soundfile from the memory of the phone.

I like the simplicity of this metronome, it's got the essentials. But, on my android 11 phone the red blink is off-beat with the rythm sound and so is the screen blink. Not a huge problem, I can turn the lights off but they should be in sync. Improvement would also be more beat rythms, like drums rather than ducks and farts

A great simple metronome without all the fancy useless garbage that others have and as an added bonus, no ads! The only way this app could be a bit better is if there was a widget to allow you so start or stop it.

The metronome click is fine for violin, I can hear it but it's not in the way 😊 thanks for the names of the tempos, that makes it so easy!! I needed a silent, visual metronome for a performance situation. This app seemed perfect because the whole screen flashes to the beat. Wrong. Since you have to use + - signs to change the tempo, it takes too long between songs to program in a new tempo. My group went from something at 66 bpm to another piece at 108 bpm. I had to abandon the metronome because i couldn't waste time pressimg the + - sto get to the right speed. Some way of quickly typing in the bpm would improve this app.

Straightforward and simple to set up and use. Tempo terminology available as well as bpm. Different click sounds with accents, and visual beats instead of sound if that is preferred. Only thing missing is alternating bar counts with an accent click, eg. 5 beat, 4 beat, 5 beat, 4 beat. Unusual, but it happens.

It just works - thank you from a busy music teacher! Great little simple app. No frills. No ads. If I could make it better, I'd ask for the ability to gradually increase the tempo automatically but this would be icing on the already perfectly edible cake.

Thank you, but for me the metronome doesn't work. The light flashes more slowly than the click sounds. I would rely on the flashing light, but it is not a stable flash; it skips about half a beat occasionally.

I find this app brilliant. Able to add a list of favourites and then just tap on the song to select the beat. It's everything I want. As a bonus there are no ads on it. Wonderful. I have passed it to all my uke club members but wonder if it will work on apple phones. No mention of it on app.

My favorite metronome app so far. It gives more control than most apps. You can control the volume of the metronome independently. You can choose whether it not to play the metronome over top of other apps. My only complaint is that it doesn't have any controls in the notification.

This is, and should be the best metronome app on here. It does what it says on the tin. No BS. I'm so tired of all these metronome apps that serve you ads with a side of metronome. I understand the need for ads, bit come on. The app is not an ad experience app, but a metronome app...

Looked for an app with minimal footprint. Not disappointed. Great features. I feel like the first beat accent could've had the option to pick even higher numbers, but 13 is enough for almost all use cases. Thanks for making this!!!

Very straightforward and usable. No ads... no permissions... has a visual mode that flashes your whole screen in noisy environments + very usable accent and tone selections... (except for the last tone on the list?! LOL) Been playing 50 years and I really like it!

Great tool... much better than any metronome apps have used. And quite frankly, a lot of fun with the different sounds. The accent beat is super helpful. Thanks for making it available for free.... and without ads. very generous of you.

Hi, this app is really easy to use but can you fix the small electric sound of the duck sound. After every beat it has a really noticeable sound as if you are unplugging an old TV. Otherwise really simple and functional app. And also please add more sounds like bass drum and click
