Simple Podcatcher

Chosen years ago for its simple yet useful design, and ease of use. Helpful program description for each episode. Simple to download for offline listening. New episodes from some podcasts inexplicably stopped. Developer told me to delete the podcast and start anew. Easy to suscribe to suggested podcasts. Option to add your own, but not easy for a beginner to do. Developer helped me years ago. I think he gave up on supporting this app. Never got unsolicited email.

Although I used this podcatcher for years, it's no longer compatible with my new phone. It erased every feed I had collected. If you plan to upgrade soon, consider going with a different app.

Really nice podcatcher application. Interface is simple and includes helpful guidance. Ability to enter url for rss podcast feed is an essential feature for a podcatcher and works well in this app.

Does what it is supposed to, doesn't slow down everything with ads like many similar apps.

Doesn't remember last spot. When I try to continue from pausing it and coming back, it has loading issues and when I restart it doesn't solve the problem. I also have problems opening podcast details. It doesn't do it sometimes from some reason so I can't go to the next podcast till I come back an hour later.

I've been using this app for years and have loves my experience the entire time. I've gotten new phones and redownloaded this app. I was having trouble adding a podcast to my list and emailed Kevin who got back to me quickly and helped me out greatly. I've recommended this app to all of my friends when we discuss podcasts.

Has some battery usage problems when it runs in the background. The search for podcasts is useless. I use this app because it seems to be one of the few remaining podcast apps that lets you enter a podcast URL. Also, it's the only one I found that allows for authenticated URLs with credentials, allowing premium subscriber only podcasts.

If only the app actually worked, as it says it does. Adding a podcast works for a while, but after a day or two, clicking on the podcast from the menu simply doesn't work. It registers that you've selected it, but absolutely nothing fixes it, except for uninstalling the app

Awesome no nonsense podcast tool. Basic yes, but no hassles with ads or automatic downloads (and filling your phone with garbage, etc.) I really appreciate the simplicity and straightforward functionality.

Been using this app for years but am finally tired of a bug which loses the position in my podcast. Very annoying. Switching to another app.

The app doesn't keep the spot where you last listened to. This is annoying and results in replaying portions you've already heard.

App will run one time. If closed and reopened it will not play...until phone is rebooted.

I've used it to download a few podcasts on wifi. And then I get a text saying my data is almost all used. I look into it and this app is the culprit. Almost a gig worth of data wasted and I barely even used this pos. Uninstalled. Don't download.

Really a nice simple app. Thanks for the work. A nice feature to have would be a flag that I allready heard an episode, or even better download every episode which I didn't heard yet.

I really enjoy this app. For being free with no ads, this is awesome! Also no pressure to upgrade to the premium version that has additional features, but this is well designed, and a wonderful app overall

Typed in exact name of a podcast could find it, cluttered episode list, can't delete unwanted episodes from list so a little too simple

Straightforward and easy to use player which links to the original website if you want more information about the podcast. Listeners can recommend podcasts for inclusion so there's plenty of good stuff in several languages.

Doesn't find any of my podcasts nor recognise urls. Useless.

Theres an auto feature that recognizes podcast urls automatically, but it regularly recognizes non podcast related links. This blocks me from following these links. From what i can tell there is no way to disable this and its a major flaw.

I used this app on my old phone galaxy s3 and it worked very well. I have a galaxy s7 now and the app is not working as well. The major problem is that it has to buffer so often and it glitches by stopping at one part and starting at an earlier part of the podcast.

nice simple client, all you need, but, BUT! defaults to the internal player and only the internal player which doesn't remember the last position. Guys! this is essential for podcasts! If that can't be done it must be possible to easily choose an external player.

Just great. Does what it says on the tin. But I found it impossible to carry across the saved podcast list to my new phone. Where is the file or whatever that stores the data?... Fix this and 5 ☆ await.
