CM Security users: No matter what some bogus "virus scanner" apps say, the app does not contain any kind of virus or malware. Apparently, removing your app icon from the launcher is such a suspicious behaviour, that some virus scanner apps report this app as dangerous. That's total nonsense and you should uninstall such useless scanners instead...
* currently only sites, which put the search word at the end of the URL are supported, like Wikipedia, Google and many more. Other sites might be supported in an upcoming version

I am going to give it a five out of five. But there are still features that I would like to see. ..... 1. I want to be able to select background color with transparency. 2. Smooth and maybe round corners. 3. Select border size and color (any color). 4. Add DuckDuckGo as default (It already works though) with an icon and with auto completion ;).... Please keep current features and add above ones. :)
Does what it says, but... I was hoping to be able to toggle to different search engines. Once placed and set to X, it's set. You can have multiple widgets, each going to a different engine, but that's a bit much.
This app has two problems. 1. When I restart my phone from safe mode. The external search engine data from the widget get wiped. 2. The app has no option to save external search engine.
Voice search would be nice... Choosing the search engine dinamically even nicer. I would be willing to pay just to have a better designed search bar. Unfortunately the choice is very poor. At least this neat widget has no ads. Thumbs up!
Downloaded and disappears. Can't find the app. Does not work on Android.

I was unable to get it back. This app is virtually an identical replacement, so problem solved.
Simple, great functionality, but it won't let me enter a number as the first character in a search. Using jelly bean on a Kyocera hydro elite. Five stars if this bug can be fixed.
Love the simplicity, and the app looks great. But when I'm typing in what I'm searching for, it doesn't show. I have to just assume I'm typing things in correctly. Would really love to use this app, but really can't get by without search text appearing. Pity.
I have a wide space available on my homescreen but the widget won't appear
I just love this little treasure...I especially love the Google bypass. I won't touch anything that requires me to take that waste of space off my disabled list 😀
ICS style search bar is my favorite, and this looks good, but would love an update that makes the dimensions of the search widget more in line with the original search bar. The really long and skinny look doesn't quite look right.
Basic and to the point. Does what it says and I like the fact you can change the search URL parameters, so that way it will never actually go obsolete.
1. Number can only be typed after alphabet 2. Holding Backspace will stop if encountering space and special character 3. No text pointer 4. I will wait for your update and if it's fixed 5 stars for you
As I mentioned this is exactly what I was looking for. However strangely does not recognise numbers typed on the google keyboard. Numbers input well with default Samsung keyboard.
If you want to use different search engines directly from your homescreen, this app is for you. Great job, dev!
This app allows you to use a variety of search engines or websites. You can even customize how you'd like your search bar to look like, in my case, I set it as invisible! No more ugly Google search on my home screen!

Perfect, if you want a box on the desktop to type a search into the doesn't open a full screen app but goes straight to you chosen search engine, this is for you. The only thing missing is the ability to change the target search once you've place the widget. In truth this is a very minor thing. To sum up, this widget is exactly what I was looking for. Many thanks.
