Simple Sound Profile Widget

I've been using this since Android 2.1. It was better in the old days, but with a few workarounds, it is still a good option in Android 9. ----- As stated, Android now ties the vibration function to when the volume is set to 0, so if you want no ringtone and no vibe, create/use a silent ringtone and set the volume to >0. Easy as pie. ----- As noted in some reviews, when switching sound profiles, your Android default ringtone may get changed. So in each of the sound profiles, manually configure the ringtone you want. Don't leave the ringtone setting on Default and problem is solved.

Super helpful when I'm going from work to home and sudden changes in plans. I don't have to spend the time changing each volume setting, just pick the best profile and run. It's a small change but every minute counts if it helps me navigate my schedule more easily. Thank you!

While changing back from one profile to another profile, ring tone is not changing accordingly, earlier ring tone stays back. For e.g when i enter office i change the profile from outdoor to indoor, but still when an incoming call comes the louder ringtone is heard which was set in outdoor mode. This is very annoying while in office. The basic feature is not working fine.

This application used to work great. But now every time I change Profiles it defaults my ringtone and notification tone to the Verizon default. This ruins the whole point of the application. I'm going to have to let it go.

Simple and works! I've been using for the last few phones. I tried a different app and it was so complicated that I went to this app. It is everything that I need! Swipe down Select from four choice. E-A-S-Y!!!

great little app, but every time I change my ring/notification tone it malfunctions, and I need to uninstall and reinstall, or delete and remake profiles. very annoyjng

A little bit of a learning curve due to the strange way the timer is turned on. But a good app that covers the basics.

Works great on my OnePlus N10 5G, Android 11. Simple, effective, free. Can't ask for more.

Used to work well for ages but no longer. That's when I noticed it's not been updated for a long time. It time to say bye bye.

It was good when you could set a timer but when it only became available in paid version, it wasn't worth it anymore

Doesn't work. Ignores what it says it's doing and just does whatever the system settings are.

I wish the phone wouldn't vibrate when on silent or have an option to stop it

I've been using this app for years and I find it so convenient to change the sound profile when I enter a meeting or I go to bed. I really like it the app. I removed one star because the app has not changed in years. I think it's time to add a Android Wear hook so I could change my sound profile from my watch. Furthermore, I'd be willing to pay for the Plus version if it was only available there :)

Does exactly as advertised, which is perfect if you just want a basic profile toggle. I came from BlackBerry, which has mastered the sound profile and notification experience. Was a little bummed when I found out my One X didn't do as well natively, but no more. This widget allows you to make custom profiles in the same way as my old Torch. Rejoice.

If you miss the nifty sound profiles that the old Nokia phones used to have before the arrival of the smartphone, you'll definitely love this app. It's so easy and convenient to use and you can set up different sound profiles for total silence, meetings and outdoor modes. I absolutely love this app and gladly give it 5 stars.

I would really like it if I could control the different volumes that are not listed like the Bluetooth volume. But this works very very well otherwise! I have 6 profiles set up ranging from silent to vibrate and sound ranges (low to high) which I find handy. Just missing the other controls for Bluetooth devices/volumes.

Good concept, but it doesn't work. I set the ringtone on at night and mute apps, but some apps like Facebook notifications still make my phone buzz at night waking me up. I would put my phone on silent but I get occasional business phone calls in the middle of the night. Not using this app till they find a way to fix this issue

I've been using this app for years and I've always loved it. It is one of the first apps I've installed in every single phone I've used since 2011. However, for some reason it does not work in my 2014 Moto X. I know the issue is not with the current version as itbfo s work properly on my note 4. It seems to me it's am issue directly related to the phone's model.

Used to have a blackberry 9900 with awesome sound profiles setup. Switched to a Galaxy S4 almost 8 months ago and have hated how the OS made you jump through hoops to change ringtones, notifications, etc. This is exactly what I've been looking for. It gives you the ability to customize diff settings such as loud, normal, soft, loud ring with soft notifications. You can even add and customize them to whatever you like. The vibrate function even works. Widgets show what profile is active. A+++++++

This app used to be amazing, now a pile of garbage on Samsung J7 V phone. Even though I have profiles set correctly with custom ringtonrs, using one of the profile widgets to change sound profile now resets ringtones to default. Craptastic. Uninstalling and getting a different sound profile app.

I've used this for years. It has worked great on every phone. You can have multiple profiles that independently adjust your notifications and ring volumes. I use a silent, vibrate, low, medium, and high profile with just 2 clicks.

The ability to define your profiles is actually a design mistake, and I will explain why. Android already lets you customize the "stock" profiles - Normal, Vibrate and Silent. What the app should do is simply provide a way to quickly switch profiles. Using the app's own profiles creates confusion. Selecting a profile from the app will select which stock profile? (and conversely)

Thials was then best sound profile widget yet, but even it can't stand up to the awful sound limitations on Lollipop. Sad times indeed. Sigh. An either loud or silent sigh, because in between does not exist.

App does a pretty good job with volumes. In 5.1.1 still vibrates when vibration for notification is unchecked, otherwise it would be a perfect app and deserve 5 stars, but giving 3 for now. BTW, the control to turn on/off vibration notification is defined on system level.

This does just what I need it to do. It's simple, customizable enough, and the ads are unobtrusive. I use this every day to mute my phone at work with exactly the settings I want. Thanks! Update: switched to the HTC One phone & sadly, this doesn't work the same for me anymore. I like a work setting to mute all notifications but vibrate on phone call and the phone vibrate isn't working. Developers, any ideas??

Excellent app. But one bug: Just tried to add another profile - where all sounds other than system set to 0, but it won't work (system also comes up as 0 although profile shows otherwise).

Can't control vibration HTC One. I want vibration on normal profile for notifications and no vibration on quiet and night profiles. Can't make this work. Not expecting anything in the way of a fix, looks like this app has been long forgotten, no updates in 2 years

i have andorid 4.4 kitkat, it has some app for profiles but it doesnt sutisfied me,bcz all time you have to change volume of ringtone, and turn on/off vibration.. but this app had solved my problem.. you make your profiles and you change it by the simpliest way.. love it.. five star from me..

This is the one if you want it quick, easy and uncomplicated. Totally straight ahead. No bloat, no delay, quick widget. Just what you need.
