Use this application to generate tone from 1 to 20000 Hz. Also use subwoofer test to check your subwoofer.

Nice little app that does exactly what it says it's going to do. The only problem is that it will not let me turn it off when I'm done. It insists on playing full screen full volume commercials and running demos of other programs. I would be so happy to purchase a user license and stop this Behavior but there seems to be no way to do so. Unfortunately I cannot use it because I can't have QuickBooks advertisement starting to play in the middle of a meeting.

Installed this a while ago, and used it to find a resonant buzz in my car door speakers. I've come back to it now to test an amplifier. You can pick sine, square, triangle or sawtooth wave forms. Sine wave is pretty clean, square is messier and falls apart at high frequencies. The phone's volume control adjusts the amplitude, I get 0.8v peak to peak at max volume. Sine wave amplitude is reduced at frequencies above 17kHz. Very handy, simple to use. The promotions of other apps can intrusive but hey, Dmitsoft have to make a living!

Very handy for testing speakers and headphones etc I've noticed my phones (sony XZ1) eq settings do not effect the sound, would be nice to have as an option. Also a few more settings for the pitch sweep like total time taken would be handy. For a free app though it's great, ads are unobtrusive 🤖👍

All frequency test tones very Nice. Only thing it doesn't show is db volume on screen. Plug headphone on set any tone turn volume up until you hear it change to a distort sound then turn down until you get the right tone. Some devices may vary I assume as a volume level output range control.

Tones appear to be accurate but I have no way to test them. I am trying to match the tones of my tinnitus but with this type of control it is very difficult. But I don't think it could be any better on a phone application. I am in the process of building an electronic one controlled by a potentiometer.

Haven't used it in a while. Opened it up and it forced me to accept sharing my device id for targeted ads but assured me that I could change it back in the settings menu...hmmmm... where's the settings menu... i don't trust it and deleted it.

It does exactly what it says, generate any range of audio tones. You can use it for tuning any instrument or for figuring out the frequency of any sound, from industry to nature. Also handy to teach novices about sound and frequencies.

It works, I just wish that if you touched and held the frequency +/- buttons that it would go up and down continuously instead of 1 hertz at a time. The slider is too coarse.

excellent tone generator, very useful for setting up sound system/stereo. sub generator useful for finding best sub position in room. can also use it to find room nodes and to position tube traps/diffusors/damping panels. Could also be helpful in setting crossover frequencies between main speakers and sub.

One of the WORST tone generators on here! Huge obtrusive ADS with ear blasting advertising audio that ruined my listening and testing experience. Plus this tone generator stopped on my Samsung phone as soon as the screen went off! This tone generator should shut off as soon as I stop it physically not switch off by itself! TM SOFT Tone generator is superior to this!

VERY useful for the diy electronics people, like myself. A handy tool to have, and I recommend it to anyone who is into electronics, especially if dealing with alot of audio equipment.

Would give 5, but needs to increase/decrease pitch by holding the +/- buttons. You have to tap them and only get 1 hz increases/decreases. Hard to get to specific frequencies.

So far so good. First use. Worked well. UPDATE: seems buggy. cannot minimize app or have another app open on top of it. wish there were easier way to quickly change from 280 to 500.

Fine app. The only missing thing is volume control. Sometime one may like to feed in to low level input such as microphone socket.

It is just what i deeded to test 1 sub, four doors with 6.5" coaxle and two 3 inch coaxle in the dash. I tested all 6 tweets and its very helpful. Sub is a custom 12" psi with high performance options. Its1,800 watts rms and box is tuned at 32 Hz. And this app proves my box sounds perfect at 30 to 40 Hz but best at 32Hz. Thanks

nice, but really needs ability to run in background like music player in order not to keep app open with screen on without being able to check on other stuff.

It's a good app for testing headphones and earbuds to see if the L and R sides are working and to see how good the quality of them are.

Very helpful for those of us who work with music and sound equipment. And want to test out hearing, too!

Does the job. Would of liked a lock screen friendly version. Also, quite loud even on the lowest volume setting.

Eet. W. Feb 14, 2019

Does everything it's supposed to do. Has even square and saw waves. Would be perfect if you added a few decimal points. For example the note D4 is 293,66 Hz.

tones work well. it would be nice to be able to lock screen and still hear tone. thank you.

Two issues= freq adjustment by sliding finger up down is too fast = volume level varies a lot as freq changes = otherwise it is useful

Jes. B. Feb 6, 2020

Just needed an app that would produce consistent sound. I like the multiple ways of tuning up or down.

love this tone generator. gives me control of what frequncy I'm wanting to test and even alows me to switch from center, left, and right.

Perfect for testing headphones and earbuds. Simple and easy to use.

works, but highly limited for my use-case. Requires whole number for Hz. No ability to specify 931.5 Hz, for example.

Ric. M. Oct 21, 2019

Produces clear tones. Easy to use. Adverts but it's a free app so what do you expect

Aar. P. Nov 14, 2018

It's helpful to improve intonation and hold notes. I wish it would say the note names and not just hz

I use this to calm tinnitus on bad days. Surprisingly effective!

Wil. F. Feb 10, 2021

Plays an annoying high pitched frequency underneath all tones. Waveforms other than sine generate horrible clicking distortion.
